My parents own a two-week timeshare here, but it is also a resort hotel. Rates run high as you're renting full apartment suites from 1 - 3 Bedrooms. My family loves it here and looks forward to returning each year. Our week's stay always includes a lot of time spent reading on the beach and sitting on the balcony of the apartment. We make great use out of the place by bringing backgammon, a little music, and buying lots of snacks and drinks for the place as soon as we arrive. My dad likes to arrange for a whole load of Spanish foods to be stocked in the fridge including delicious fresh fruits, Rioja wine, yummy cheeses and smoked meats.
The place is genuinely comfortable with lots of seating and plenty of room for the 5 of us. We typically make a few meals here each visit (we also LOVE restaurants). Pitcher after pitcher of yummy sangria is made regularly in our place as are big breakfast feasts of jamon serrano y queso manchego y huevos fritos y cafe con leche made in the well-stocked kitchen.
The apartment is spacious with 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, small but open kitchen, dining area, living room, large balcony, and laundry room. The beds are new and comfortable as is the rest of the tasteful furniture. A stereo, 4 TVs, VCR player (the market has movies in Spanish and English), stocked modern kitchen and washer-dryer make the place really fun and user-friendly and home-like.
Each unit is in a building of 10 - 12 such units, and the grounds are manicured around each three-story cluster. They're painted hushed tones of beige, peach, and tan, and with the flowery landscaping and gorgeous blue of the pools, sky, and Mediterranean the place is very attractive.
The beach is lovely, and water sports (jet ski, kayak, etc.) are available. Also on the beach is a small play area with toys for kids, a volleyball area, and a clubhouse with towel service, restrooms/changing areas, another kids' area, and a family favorite: ping pong.
Other amenities on premises: a full food/wine market, full gym with aerobics and other classes, small spa, and another family favorite: billiards.
Finally, the bars and restaurants vary in degree of formality from beach-side bar and grill and icecream cart to Saturday night fancy European dinner on balcony overlooking Mediterranean beneath starry backdrop.
