| I have just returned to Florida from staying at the Marais studio Paris and just wanted to say, We had the best time ever. Erin, my nephew, has continued onto England and then going back to Italy where our trip originated. The studio was clean and cute and the courtyard so beautiful with the foliage changing. I do have to admit we didn't cook a meal or even dirty a utensil while there, we were gone from 9am until 11 or 12 at night every day. 5 days of intense walking and touring. We also hugged the uncle. Thanks for the great tips before we left. I suggest everyone get the Paris time out magazine? suggested by Claude. It finally found it a day before we left at a newspaper stand, and it has a wealth of info in it. The food at the Hotel Murano was fairly high priced but never expected a 21 euro a drink charge for Kettle One vodka. Most expensive I ever had. But we did have a great Sunday buffet breakfast and they held our bags for us until we were ready to check in. Thanks for the great accomodations, Dianne B. |

Thank you, Claude and Violaine! Andrew and I just got back from a wonderful, romantic and magical trip to our most favorite place in the world. Just like the last time I stayed there in 2006, the little studio in Marais at 15 Blvd du Temple was formidable! Andrew and I now consider it to be our Parisian home away from home! The studio is in such a fantastic location and it's the perfect size. We enjoyed cooking romantic meals in the little kitchen as well as dinner in the Tibetan restaurant just outside the front door - oh the food there is SO GOOD and so reasonably priced! The shuttle came right on time to take us to the airport on the day we left. Thanks again for everything! We will definitely be back again - hopefully soon!
Frances
P.S. The most exciting part of our trip is that we got engaged on the top of the Eiffel Tower! I couldn't have dreamed of a more romantic place. It was perfect! |

| In my first visit to Paris I was very fortunate to find Claude & Violaine and experience two of their perfectly located & very charming Parisian Studios. I stayed at St.Severin & Le Marais and I though I traveled solo I felt very safe in these, may I say again BEST locations ever. The cobblestone streets of St.Severin especially captured my lifelong artistic vision of how the city would feel and just around the corner the breathtaking Seine and Notre Dame. I fell in Love with Paris and can think of little else since. Now I'm studying French and wishing the time would pass quickly to the moment that I may return and stay longer...hopefully much longer. So Merci Beaucoup to you Claude & Violaine for treating me so graciously and sharing your very special studio's with me. I will get in touch of course when I plan my next visit, a bientot! |

Hello Claude and Violaine
I arrived back in Australia on Sunday. I wanted to let you know how much I loved my stay at the Studio Marais. It was truly everything I hoped it would be. I had the most wonderful stay and could have spent my entire time in the surrounding area. I enjoyed the local shops and restaurants and did feel truly embraced by the city.
Thank you for all your support in terms of information and also the phone call I received to make sure all was well.
I will certainly pass on the details to any one of my friends looking for accommodation in Paris.
Once again, thank you so much.
Kind regards Suzanne July 2009 |

| We returned to Gotham City last night from spending a week in the stdio Marais. The flat was lovely. The courtyard was one of the prettiest we've seen and we spent many an early evening there with a glass of rose. Yan and Chun were also fantastic. Thank you! |

Hello Violaine and Claude, We really enjoyed our stay at your Paris Apartment, we felt at home and like one of the residents of the Marais. So close to the Metro or even to walk to all the sights. Quiet space to relax after a day in the city. And yes, we hugged your uncle.
Best wishes

| I just returned from one of the best vacations I've ever had, and Claude played a big part of that: from his great apartment to his helpful tips, I couldn't be happier. And now, when I return to Paris, I won't need to look for a place to stay! I now have a home-away-from-home in one of the greatest cities in the world. Thank you Claude! |

Bonjour Claude & Violaine!
Just getting back into the swing of the "real world" and wanted to take a moment to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay in your little Marais studio. It was perfect for Rocco and I. The location was unbeatable and although it was still a little chilly, we LOVED the courtyard. Also - thanks for your shopping tips and your little extras like advice and warnings. All taken into consideration and greatly appreciated. You Parisians (are you? Not sure, maybe you are not from Paris) have everything in the world one could want all wrapped up in one of the most beautiful cities we;ve ever visited. Everything is a little better there - even the metro musicians. I mean, really!?? And the food. Well, you know. You have to try to get something bad, really try. Thank you, thank you, for giving us an inexpensive alternative to traveling and living in Paris.
Sincerely,
Rocco & Theresa |

Dear Claude and Violaine,
I just wanted to let you know I had a wonderful time in my 9 days at studio Marais. The apartment was small but very cozy and it had all the modern amenities I needed to cook, clean and entertain myself. It is a really wonderful building and very well maintained.
The location could not have been any better since it is walking distance to pretty much anything you could wish to see in Paris.
Should I be in Paris in the near future I would definitely love to stay at the Studio Marais again.
Many thanks,

Hello Claude and Violaine! We are back from our trip now, and I wanted to thank you for the apartment. We had a great time in Paris. The location of the apartment was perfect for us. Luckily the weather was good for us so we were able to do a lot of walking! And the metro station was so close as well! We would definitely recommend to our friends to stay there! |

Dear Claude & Violain, We want to let you know that we enjoyed our entire trip to Paris and the surrounding area, and it started with a wonderful 3 days in your studio in Paris. Thank you for all your good tips. Everything went as we planned. We found "Uncle Time" and gave him a hug from you (he sends one back to you in return ;-). We were glad to be able to meet Yan. She is so gracious and helpful. Thank you again for everything. It was a pleasure to make your acquaintance. Best regards, Nancy & Joelle

| We had the most wonderful time in Paris and we were really happy with the Studio. It really felt like we were living in Paris. I loved our sleepy walks from the quiet neighbourhood to the busier tourist spots. It was a lovely place to return after our days out wandering your beautiful city. If we are ever able to return to Paris we would love to stay there again. Thank you so much! |

We stayed in the Marais studio for about a week in June 2008. We loved it! There is no doubt it is small, but that is part of the charm. The apartment is perfectly located, close to everything and in the best part of Paris.
Clause was very helpful and provided lots of hints and tips and also advised us to lower our expectations - which wasn't necessary - unless one was stupid enough to expect 5 stars for the price. But I would never trade 5 stars for our stay in Marais.
I have a number of recommendations for restaurants etc which I will send to Claude which he will no doubt share with future travellers.
Really, it is priceless - TRY IT! |

Bonjour Claude and Violaine Tonight is our last night in your studio Marais and we just wanted to say thank you so much for the accommodations. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Paris and found this to be an amazing and romantic city. We go home with many wonderful memories. Your studio was in an ideal location for us and we would not hesitate to book again with you in the future. We enjoyed living as the Parisians do, it only added to our experience and preferred it over a hotel room. Also we would like to mention that Chun and Ziyang were very friendly and made us feel so welcomed, we can not say enough about them and you are so lucky to have them. Again merci!!!!!

| We loved Paris and enjoyed our stay in this very quaint, intimate and quiet apartment. It was centrally located with great shops and easy access to the Metro. Bread, cheese and wine shops were around the corner. Though without a lift the circular staircase was very manageable. Thank you for your terrific hospitality. |

Claude and Violaine,
We returned home from our trip to Europe last week and have finally recovered and adjusted back to Mountain Time. From the vantage point of the hot and dry Colorado weather, we miss the laid back Parisian attitude and the fantastic air conditioned museums. It is good to be home but we still miss being in the great studios in Paris soaking in the culture all around us.
Thank you so much for the studio in the Marais and the two studios in the Latin Quarter next to St. Severin. We were truly blessed to have such wonderful accommodations that allowed us the opportunity to live like the local Parisians. After traveling around Europe and staying in many different hotels, we found the studios in Paris to be the most comfortable and inviting accommodations by far.
Every studio that we stayed in was very clean and conveniently located within walking distance of all the main attractions in Paris. The studios afforded an atmosphere that allowed us to spend time in the city enjoying the culture as well as spend time in our studios relaxing. Due to this private and relaxing environment we enjoyed our stay in Paris most out of our entire two week journey across Europe.
Thank you again for giving us this wonderful opportunity to stay in Paris. Not only were the studios affordable but they offered a much more personal and enjoyable way to experience the magic of Paris than a hotel room. We cannot say in words how much we appreciate your kindness. When we next find ourselves in Paris we will definitely be staying in one of your wonderful studios.
Sincerely,

My Hubby and I would like to express our deepest gratitude to Claude & Violaine, for allowing us yet another stay at their studio apartments. The beautiful nature of all of Paris is so wonderful that I cannot seem to get my fill of Paris life: the air itself, the music, the gardens, the parks- the friends we made in the park, the architecture and yes the food, and so much more it would take a book, which I may start=titled by my brothers inspiration "All steps go up". Even though we lost two days of our Paris honeymoon, it did not matter as much as I thought when the wise words were spoken to my hubby by Claude, and conveyed to me that “any amount of time in Paris is better than not making it there at all”. This was just what I needed to hear as we waited for our flight. We are truly thankful to have had the opportunity to stay at different hotels, and then to compare to now two different studio apartments. In my personal experience the studio apartments, are the only way to truly experience Paris to the fullest. The apartment becomes your own home. What more could anyone ask for, and the extended family connection grew so strong between my family and Claude and Violaine, I feel truly blessed by this entire experience.

Dear Claude and Violaine,
Happy New Year! Thank you so much for renting us the studio, it was in a great location and we had a great time (Chez Omar just on the next street had great food!) We actually spent New Year's Eve at the bar of Hotel Murano and later that night/morning I proposed to my now fiance Cristina in the courtyard of the building..it was a very special night! We loved Paris and look forward to returning when the weather is a bit warmer :)
Thanks again, Hagop K. |

Dear Claude and Violaine,
We both want to thank you so much for letting us live in your Paris apartmentin the Marais for 2 weeks. We loved every minute and the location was perfectly close to our daughter's apartment.
The locaton is ideal with the Poste, laundromat, boulangeries, newsstands and the Metro stop so close by.
Cooking a lot of our meals in the aprtment saved us a lot of money. The prices in Paris are really high compared to MN.
We cannot wait to return to the Marais apartment in the spring for a few more days to be able to live like Parisians. This cute little apartment suited us perfectly.
Thanks so much for sharing this place with us.

It couldn't have been in a better location, with public transportation, quaint boutiques, groceries, laundry services, yummy and affordable restaurants, museums, sightseeing, you name it - all nearby. Claude and Violaine were especially helpful. I highly recommend staying at this lovely studio - perfect for a true Parisian experience. I can't wait to go back! |

This great little appartment is exactly what you need for a "sympathique" stay in Paris. The location is absolutely wonderful, with easy access to shops, boulangeris, charcuteris, public transportation, etc. It has all amenities so if staying in is your thing, you will be able to cook yourself a great little meal in the comfort of the appartment. The inner courtyard is lovely and really makes you feel priviledged to be in Paris. I definitely think that the hotel option is out for me and would make staying at the Marais appartment next time I am in Paris. The renters are very nice and provide all kind of useful information for a comfortable stay in la Ville des Lumieres. I highly recommend renting one of their many lovely appartments. |

| Me and my boyfriend wanted a true parisian experience on a budget. Rather than stay at a hotel or hostel we stayed at the Marias apt. I was thrilled with my entire experience. Claude and Violaine were very helpful from the beginning providing us with lots of information so that once we arrived at the apt we already felt at home. The apt is a great size and has all the necessities of home. We were able to make our own dinner and enjoy the cafes in the area. The apt is within walking distance to lots of sights and a quich metro ride to the eiffel tower. The ambiance is wonderful the courtyard view from the windows is fantastic and the neighborhood will delight you with its stores, cafes, and boullangeries! |

| We returned from Paris the night before last and I wanted to tell you what a wonderful time we had. The studio in the Marais was perfect for us, very comfortable and had everything we could need. The location was just what we were hoping for. Within a few feet of the building were boulangers, grocery stores, a laundromat, Metro station, countless restaurants, and what a lively, interesting area! Being close to the Place de la Republique was wonderful. It seemed to us that this was more the 'real' Paris where people get up and go to work in the morning and less the touristy areas where we've stayed before. At the same time, it was close to everything, either by foot or on the Metro. After long days of walking and sightseeing, a few evenings we just stayed in the studio and had pate, cheese, baguette and wine and looked out on the courtyard thinking how lucky we were! But most evenings we had to get out and discover fabulous (and economical) restaurants in the neighborhood. Thanks so much for your thoroughness in giving us all the information we'd need for our stay in Paris and for having the foresight to prepare everything in the apartment so well. It all made the trip unforgettable. |

Hello Claude & Violaine:
We just got back from our Paris and trip. We really enjoyed staying in the apartment. The building had a nice Parisian architecture, and weas really closed to the metro, grocery, bakeries, fish/poultry, wine shop etc... We like going to the local market and occassionally cooking our indian meals (my wife can't eat out everyday). We even found a nice indian restaurant down the street. Over all we liked the place and would certainly consider renting it on our next Paris trip.
Special thanks for all the handy tips such as information about local stores, restaurants, metro etc. |

Dear Claude and Violaine,
We are back in California for few days now and trying to get over the jetlag. We enjoyed very much staying at your studio and really loved the location. It is walking distance to a lot of good sightseeing spot. Marais is a very lively neighborhood and has a lot of restaurant, local shops, café, Pastry……. endless choice of everything and allow us to get a taste of what it is like living in Paris. We walked a lot everyday and loved it. Paris has a lot to offer and we still have a lot that we did not get to explore. We did not like to rush from one place to another just for the purpose of sightseeing. So, we take our time and did what we feel like at the moment. We loved the food, café, museum, admired all the beautiful historian buildings…………..etc
Thanks again for all your tips and letting us stay at your studio and hope that we will be considered as Friend of the House again in our next trip.
