| Ever since we returned home from Paris I have been daydreaming of the city and this apartment. I spent 8 days here with my 18-year old daughter and it served our needs perfectly. The location is excellent and the neighborhood is, of course, wonderful. I have rented VRBO-listed properties before and the online photos/descriptions have not always reflected the reality. But this time we were so pleased and thrilled that the apartment lived up to its photos and description. It is as wonderful as it sounds! We were greeted by owner Catherine who could not have been more pleasant - and who patiently waited for us to make our way from the airport. I may have to make a point of visiting Paris more often - and I imagine I'll want to return to Rue de Turenne! |

Catherine,
Thank you so much for letting us use your beautiful apartment. It is so bright, well furbished and plenty large. It’s location made us feel very safe. My wife was able to jog every morning at daybreak around the area with no worries or concerns regarding her safety. The grocery store around the corner was also very convenient. We were gone 6-10 hours a day and visited ALL parts of Paris and my wife & I both agree this is our favorite area. WHEN we come back you’ll be the first we call to stay in your apartment again.

My wife and I stayed in this Marais apartment with our two teenage sons for a week in August 2006. The apartment worked perfectly for us.
It's conveniently located in the Marais district near the St. Paul Metro station (5 minute walk). The building has a large interior courtyard so the kitchen and living room look out onto trees and flowers. It was very quiet at night.
The apartment has been thoughtfully renovated. It has one and half modern baths each of which have adequate space to put away toiletry articles. There is plenty of closet space so you can really unpack and put your stuff and luggage away. And the electrical supply is modern so we had no power outages in spite of our use of all the appliances. High-speed internet access worked perfectly the first time we plugged in our laptop.
We cooked breakfast and supper in the apartment and ate lunch out. The kitchen is compact but carefully thought out. It has an electric cooktop and oven, a dishwasher, washer/dryer, and microwave. All of these worked fine and the instruction manuals for them were right on the counter. It also had a toaster and blender. There are grocery markets, wine shops, boulangeries, etc. five minutes away on Rue St. Antoine.
We would definitely try to get this apartment on our next visit to Paris.

| We loved this apartment. Great beds, wonderful space, convenient with the half bath. We will stay here again definitely. It's in such a lively area with great neighbors and great shopping and eating nearby. Walk everywhere very conveniently. Thanks, Catherine |

*Couldn't get the broadband to work with my laptop -- and I have AOL ... perhaps I should've checked it out before leaving U.S. *Our DVDs wouldn't read; the message said: wrong region ... we purchased a DVD from the Louvre and noticed there were US and European choices *We found the washer/dryer card in English, which was very helpful -- you may want to keep the various language cards available in a nearby drawer *The closest Metro stop is St. Paul *We regrettably didn't go to Place de Voges until the last night -- it was wonderful and our children enjoyed Cafe Hugo immensely [as did we] ... *You can't brag enough about your place ... it is awesome -- as you said, WE DID LOVE IT -- very centrally located and well appointed.
