Getting away from the bustle of Brooklyn was our goal. This house offered all of the comforts of home and is the quietest place I have visited. The pool was our oasis and our 2 sons delighted in the the serenity of the woods. We rescued quite a few frogs from the pool. We were amazed at all of the wildlife we encountered. On several occasions I saw a beautiful blonde fox on the property as well as chipmunks, a shrew, bats and hummingbirds. On a few of our outings into the charming town of Rhinebeck we encountered deer, wild turkeys, turkey vultures and a muskrat. As nature lovers we were so happy. We were so comfortable and on a few occasions had the opportunity to entertain friends who enjoyed the pool and the hot tub. Some of my favorite times were rising at dawn to walk our dog on the quiet road which circles the tiny neighborhood. Not once did I encounter another person on these walks and that, for a change was lovely, allowing me to be lost in my thoughts.A wonderful time was had by all. |

| We had a terrific week at this house with our kids. The location is great -- very convenient to the village of Rhinebeck and to great hikes and historic sites along the Hudson, and the house is on a quiet street. The house and property are lovely, especially the pool. |

| We had a fantastic time at the country retreat, Rhinebeck is beautiful and the house wants for nothing. We loved the area, got 4 days skiing up at Belleayre, saw the Hudson frozen over and watched the deer in the garden. We had an all round wonderful vacation, shame we had to go home! Thanks |

| I found the house spacious and comfortable. I'd definitely return for another stay but would urge the owners to consider investing in a larger Television for the woodstove room. |

Marlene:
What a great week we had at #6 Winston!
We were delighted to find the house exactly as advertised, and the proximity to Rhinebeck, Red Hook, Bard, Omega...is an especially welcomed convenience.
Having visited the Rhinebeck area more times than we can remember over the last 4 decades...your house is one of the most comfortable accommodations we have stayed in over the years.
We are looking forward to our 2 week return in August...and are already making plans for another visit in mid September!
Thanks for being there!!!

| What a change from mismatched cookware and linens in most rentals. Cotton sheets and spreads and a well-equipped kitchen. And beautiful Granny Smith apples to greet us from the kitchen table. Warm inside, cold outside, altogether great! |

| Thank you for a great week. The house was perfect for a family getaway and had all the comforts of home. Having relatives in the area, we are familiar with what Rhinebeck/Red Hook have to offer and we think your home rates up at the top of the list. We'll be back again. |

| We had a wonderfully relaxing week, cooking big meals, relaxing by the fire, and exploring Duchess County. We were close enough to resorts for skiing, and hiking in the mountains. Thanks, Marlene, for being so helpful and accommodating and sharing your house with us! |

Hi Marlene, I wanted to thank you again for such a wonderful experience at the house in Rhinebeck. My friends and I had a dream vacation. We spent our time walking through the village, dining out and cooking meals at the house, sitting by the fire in the woodburning stove, watching TV and playing board games, and spotting wildlife right in the backyard. Thank you so much for your quick and helpful responses to all of my many questions. The seven of us plan to make a habit of visiting your house in Rhinebeck every winter! |

| Marlene was so accommodating on such short notice. We had only 48 hours to make arrangements to attend a nearby family funeral. The home was lovely and inviting, my son had a ball outside with nature and during the snow storm (Being from Florida, this was a treat!). Would highly recommend this lovely country home. Plus, being originally from New York it was nice to re-acquaint myself with Rhinebeck. Thanks again Marlene. |
