Our family of four enjoyed a week in Paris at the end of July, and the apartment was perfect for us. The location is excellent, in a non-touristy area but easily accessible to wherever you need to go, and being back off the street behind two courtyards ensures quiet when you need it. Philippe was delightful and helpful. In addition to the comments of others, which capture most of what you need to know, I would like to add that we were grateful that the apartment has fans to keep you comfortable when it's warm. Also, we appreciated Larry's clear communication and reliability both before our visit and after, when our deposit was returned very promptly. We hope to return! |

We stayed at 21, rue Beranger in July during Bastille week last month, for 8 nights. We had a fantastic time. We concur with all the other guests' positive comments. The apartment IS as advertised-- spacious, comfortable, clean and well-equipped. It's at a great location, very close to the metro but on a quiet street, making it calm and secure. It's close to all amenities (ie, the all important boulangerie, just around the corner and the Monoprix supremarket, a little farther around the corner). And it's very well priced!
We were grateful for all the conveniences of the modern kitchen as we cooked almost every night. Practically everything you need is provided. We slept very well in the large bedroom on the comfortable, queen-size bed while our son enjoyed his hide-a-bed armchair in the living room. We liked having both the shower and the separate, relaxing tub in the modern bathroom. Also available were tourist guides for Paris and surrounding areas, French/English dictionaries, as well as free internet which we used often. They've really thought of most everything to accommodate visitors.
Furthermore, we really appreciated the old world ambience of this 19th century home. We loved the 10 ft ceilings, the parquet floors, the large stained glass windows and their shutters and the cobblestone courtyard, where we imagined the original owners arriving home in their horse-drawn carriage...
Philippe was awesome--gracious, informative, accommodating and quick to respond to emails. He was there to welcome us and meet our needs when we arrived and he showed us how to operate the appliances. As he commutes around the city on bicycle, he gave us some very good information about cycling in Paris. We had brought our bikes to ride when we left Paris, but Philippe told us that Paris is now very bike friendly, and encouraged us to ride our bikes especially in the designated bike lanes that are shared with the city buses. We were a little hesitant/apprehensive at first because of all the traffic, but as Philippe assured us, drivers do indeed acknowledge cyclists. We biked every day to all the major sites (the Louvre in less than 20 minutes, the Eiffel Tower, l'Arc de Triomphe...) The courtyard provided a good place to lock up our bikes at night (by the Masterlock), though there was no protection against the rain. Having used the metro on previous visits to Paris, we can confirm that biking is the quickest, most efficient mode of transportation. Merci, Philippe, pour vos conseils.
We have only one regret about our stay at 21, rue Beranger and that is that it was too short. We would definitely rent this lovely apartment again on our next trip to Paris.

| Our 5 day stay in 21 Rue Beranger apartment was delightful. It is roomy, kept spotless, well stocked (prior guests leave all sorts of goodies in the kitchen), terribly convenient because of Place Republique's many metro lines, and it's ground floor location saves many steps and dragging suitcases up narrow spiral staircases. Books, videos, and all instructions in English made the stay more pleasant. And loved the quiet. One evening a full rock concert was going on a block away and we didn't hear a thing. Also a wonderful Monoprix around the corner with all sorts of gourmet fixings for meals at home. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. |

| We just returned from a lovely stay at 21 Rue Beranger. The apartment was the perfect spot for my family. It was clean, safe and quite comfortable. Philippe was so kind and informative. Our young daughters cried when we had to leave our Paris Home.It was the perfect location in the Northern Marais,we loved the shops and easy access to the Metro. I would highly recommend this lovely apartment to anyone visiting Paris. |

| Spent a week at the apartment in March. It is exactly as shown in pictures. Lovely! We found it very convienent to all of Paris! The weather in March was mild and the lines at all attaractions were ZERO! The furniture is comfortable, kitchen well equipped, previous guests- as well as us- leave all kinds of cooking items for your pleasure. After touring all day, we did eat dinner in about 3 nites- and always breakfast and coffee.Philippe is a wealth of knowledge, and arrived our first night on a bicycle in a full Morning Suit! (from his regular job at the opera) Looked so cute I only wish I had taken his picture! The neighbors all speak English and are helpful too.Very quiet and safe!We used Parisshuttle to get door to door service from CDG.80USD r/t for 2. Got a weekly metro card for unlimited use on all transportation for 21euros each- Really a great location.I had a recent hip replacement and found the apt to work well for me. Our only disappointment was that the cptr.was older and not able to send emails home- was able to recieve them though, and it worked as far as looking up train schedules etc.Used a calling card from home to call- just as I could anywhere. Apartment is spotlessly clean as well. I have told everyone what a great deal this is- and now I'm telling YOU! Go for it! I hope to return again soon. |

| We just returned from having stayed in your apartment for 2 weeks in January 09. It was one of the most wonderful experiences that we have had in all our travels. Everything was in perfect order and well appointed in every detail. The location was perfect for getting around on the Metro. The shops nearby were excellent and our favorite stop each morning was at the Boulangerie and Patisserie for cappuccino and croissants while making friends with the owner's little dog, Le Pardo. Staying in this apartment made the trip to Paris a first-class experience! We'll definitely want to return. |

| We just returned from a week in Paris and I wanted to say how much we enjoyed the apartment. It was bigger than expected and everything was well equipped and very clean. The apartment was very conveniently located with the subway just around the corner. Once we figured out the subway we went everywhere in Paris. The Monoprix was a 2 min. walk and I found the prices for food to be quite reasonable. Lots of information about Paris in the apartment. This apt. is a true gem and we'll definitely rent it again. My daughter & I did some clothes shopping in Paris and I found a store called AT (Armand Thiery) lovely clothes with good prices. My daughter shopped at the shopping mall, Les Halles, and had good success. We also took a double-decker bus tour and this was a good idea because we didn't have alot of time in Paris. Again, we'll certainly rent this apt. again. |

I checked out many Paris apartments online before choosing this one. It appeared to be, by far, the best value. We wondered whether it could be as nice as described for the price and we were a little concerned that it seemed more out of the central area than many. We were pleasantly surprised. The apartment is large by European standards and it is very well equipped. The laptop computer and DSL connection was a great amenity. The location turned out to be perfect for getting around to all of Paris as the Republique Metro station is less than one block away and you can go anywhere in the city from there. We enjoyed being in a Paris neighborhood rather than in the middle of the major tourist areas. Although it was a very busy traffic area, once inside the courtyard, all the street noise disappeared. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the apartment building after a day in the busy city. As it turns out, the apartment is not out of the thick of things at all. We found ourselves able to walk to many areas that I thought we would need to take a bus or Metro to. You might not want to cook with all the great restaurants available but if you do, the apartment has most everything you would need. A few blocks away is an incredible market called MonoPrix and in the other direction on Rue de Bretagne there are wonderful shops with fresh meat, seafood, vegetables and cheese. I wished we had found this street earlier in our stay. Check out the binder in the apartment. There are some good restaurants not far. Try Chez Janou. The owner is very responsive. He provided great communication during the process and we received our deposit back several days after our return. Philippe, the concierge is very helpful and responsive as well. We emailed each other several times during our stay to get advice. He helped make restaurant reservations for us in French. I might be tempted to try another part of town on my next visit although I think I would be hard-pressed to find such a great deal. I’ll probably find myself staying here again and I’d be happy to do it.

This terrific and quiet apartment was a wonderful landing place for our family of four. The neighborhood is safe and within walking distance of the Bastille and Pompidou Museum. The apartment is just around the corner from a metro station where a number of lines connect, so the whole city is one or two trains away. Our children (ages 11 and 14) were comfortable in the living room with two pull-out couches. The apartment is an excellent value, and we would happily spend another week in this apartment. |

It was conveniently located a 30-40 min walk from the Seine(Louvre etc) When the metro was running again it was just minutes via the Metro. Phillipe, the concierge was very helpful with directions both walking and with the metro. The apt. was extremely comfortable and well equipped. We would definitely stay there again.

| The apartment was a perfect base for our two week stay in Paris. Everything is as represented or better. Larry and Philippe have taken care of everything for the guests' comfort, and they are reliable and easy to deal with. By the way, if you stay here don't bother with a guidebook, map or phrasebook, they have a shelf full -- also umbrellas, a shopping basket, hair dryer, iron, alarm clock, etc. The location is convenient, the Metro, cabs, restaurants, ATM and shopping are steps away, yet the apartment itself in its little courtyard is quiet and peaceful. It was a pleasure to be able to have breakfast and a couple of dinners in our own place. |

Dear Larry, We loved our stay in your apartment, (August, 2007), it was very clean, well-equipped and spacious enough for this family of four. As others’ have mentioned, the bakery, Monoprix and the Metro are just around the corner. If you like to walk, (turn right out of the apartment), rue de Turenne is a continuation of rue Beranger, within 15-20 minutes you will reach Place des Vosges and once in this area you are only a couple of streets away from L’As du Falafel on rue des Rosiers. My understanding is that many Parisien hotels have small room sizes so your apartment was an excellent option for us. Many thanks for your kind hospitality. Diane

| We rented this apartment the first week of July, 2007. It is great!! Very comfortable, nice bathroom and kitchen. Large windows for lots of light. It is close to everything you need for your vacation. The bakery around the corner is great. The grocery store is close and has everything you need. It is close to Metro and buses. We walked almost everywhere from the area, so it is very convenient. Phillipe was very nice and very helpful. We highly recommend this apartment. We would certainly use the apartment again!! |

| This is a terrific apartment, as many other comments indicate. The kitchen is wonderfully outfitted for cooking and the site is remarkably quiet, as well. This is due to the apartment's location inside a second courtyard, probably 30 yards from the street. Its ground floor location is a special treat for anyone who has hauled suitcases up four or five flights of winding Paris stairs. The neighborhood has terrific shops on Rue Bretagne and a bunch of excellent restaurants, mostly across the way in the 11th. We'll be back! |

We just returned from our first trip to Paris. We had a wonderful week in a beautiful city, staying in a true Parisienne apartment.21 Rue Beranger is everything that the website describes and more. The location has it all, close to metro, bus transportation, great shops, bakery, food stands with French food specialties to eat there,or, bring back to the apartment.Walking distance to most of the many "must-see" attractions of Paris.Lots of taxis, buses, trains, if walking is not for you. The apartment was so spacious, and comfortable, a real home away from home.A high quality firm bed,(my most important rental requirement), a beautifully tiled luxury bath, with a deep soaker tub,(to soak your aching tourist limbs), a fully equipped modern kitchen, 21 Rue Beranger is a real find. Last, but, not least, it was a pleasure to work with Larry, and, Phillipe, both extremely professional and accommodating. We would highly recommend this rental. |

| I travel to Paris periodically on business trips and prefer staying in short term furnished apartments. 21 rue Beranger was, by far, the very best all around. The Republique Metro is served by several lines and allows quick trips to the main attractions without transfers. The apt. was exceedingly well furnished, better than most USA or other European cities' vacation rentals. The value was unsurpased and a great deal. |

Stayed one month here in the apartment and enjoyed our stay in Paris. Philippe was very helpful and kind and was here to help us with any questions we had. We were close to a bakery, the Monoprix (a grocery store), a perfumerie, and clothing stores. I wanted to buy some items for my grandchildren, so there was a lovely children's store nearby. We toured all the sights in Paris and the Republique Metro is so convenient to everything. We went on side trips to Monaco, Giverny, Strasbourg, and Versailles with our railpass and with the help of Cityrama tour buses. You can walk to Ile St. Louis and Ile de Cite and it would take about 20 minutes. Taxis are plentiful in the area if you needed one. The apartment has all the amenities and we enjoyed having breakfast and dinner here. I would stay here again in the future. It has all the comforts of home. Thank you Larry and Philippe. |

We just spent 10 days in the apartment and loved every minute. The courtyards keep it cool and quiet and returning home in the evening was a dream. Since some days reached 38 degrees celsius, the cool apartment was a welcome oasis. It was beautiful to look at and wonderful to live in. The luxury of this much space in Paris is hard to imagine. The neighborhood was wonderful and the proximity to the market and great bakeries made life easy. We would definately come back. Larry and Philippe couldn't have been more gracious. |

We enjoyed our recent eight-day stay at the rue Béranger apartment immensely. It’s spacious with high ceilings and molding, well-lighted, and thoughtfully provided with amenities that make guests feel comfortable and at home. The eat-in kitchen is much larger than the typical Paris apartment rental kitchen and is well-equipped. The built-in closets in the bedroom provide ample space, and the mattress is of excellent quality - so important for getting a good night’s sleep. Having a computer with internet access was also a real plus.
The area is extraordinarily convenient for public transportation access to all of Paris with five Métro lines and a number of bus routes, and neighborhoods full of character radiate in different directions, making the location a rich one for those of us who also enjoy exploring every-day Paris on foot.

| We also just returned from a week at this lovely apartment. My husband, our two children, and myself, all fit comfortably. We dined in on a couple of evenings and really appreciated having some condiments and spices provided in the apartment. Shopping at the Monoprix (right around the corner) was a neat and fun cultural experience too. Great pastries, bread and sandwiches right around the corner too. The metro is a hop and skip from the apartment's front door. So easy to use and safe. We traveled on the Metro throughout our stay (day and night, sometimes late at night), had the kids navigate the lines we needed to take. Previous guests had recommended a small wine shop nearby (see later comments), my husband loved the shop and the owner. The wine shop owner provided excellent guidance with my husband's wine selections. All the wines we bought were winners, we might even give up California wines! Phillipe couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. We also really appreciated having the internet access; to check what musuems were open on Easter, etc. The kids liked being able to email their friends too. All around a great place to stay and to enjoy the beauty of Paris. We'd love to go and stay there again and again and again. Bon voyage if you are on your way! |

We greatly enjoyed our stay at 21 rue Beranger. Having a place that comfortable to come back to each evening certainly contributed to the pleasure of our visit. The bed was excellent, the kitchen was clean, convenient and well equipped - and it was wonderful having a bathroom with both a shower and a bathtub.
The directions on how to find the place were most helpful, particularly for people not familiar with the Paris Metro / RER systems. We had pre-purchased passes allowing us to travel on both networks before leaving home, so getting into town was easy - particularly with the notes provided.
We can certainly recommend 21 rue Beranager to anyone planning a visit to Paris in the near future.

I stayed in this apartment the first week of April. It was my first trip to Paris...my first trip outside of the U.S. for that matter. This apartment was wonderful!! I felt right at home immediately. The kitchen had everything you needed, except an ice bucket. But Phillipe, the concierge, turned a big pasta pot into one and showed us how to properly chill our bottle of champagne. And speaking of Phillipe...what a nice man! It was a joy meeting him and chatting with him.
The bed was comfortable and so was the fold out couch according to my friend who slept there. Plenty of space! Felt very safe and the people we met who lived there were very nice. Especially the nice man on the second floor who helped us the first day.
I highly recommend this apartment and plan on staying there again when my husband and I go back to Paris...hopefully next year.

| We experienced a crisis of conscience in deciding whether to comment on Larry's apartment in Paris. Self interest urges us to denounce it, lest it become so overwhelmingly popular that we won't be able to use it again. However, the truth of the matter is that it was wonderful. We came to it after several days in a London hotel, and the spacious elegance of the apartment restored our bodies and souls. Everything is first class. It takes about 2 minutes to walk to the Metro. The double courtyard location makes it totally quiet and private. We don't have time to extol all of its virtues. We can only say that we recommend it without hesitation. It will increase markedly your enjoyment of your visit to Paris. |

Our Paris vacation was beautiful and memorable – a lot thanks to the apartment we rented. We stayed here for a week in August. The area is safe and quiet. The apartment is very good, everything is new and convenient in a perfect working condition - exactly as described, we were so happy we rented it. The only thing not working when we arrived (refrigerator) was immediately fixed while we were out. The obvious advantages for a family of 4: much more space than in hotel, roomy bathroom you used to, everything-you-need-kitchen, CD-player, even french books and CDs with french songs, INTERNET!, unlimited local phone calls….early check-in (our plane arrived 7 am, in a hotel we’d probably have to wait till 2 pm?) Plus the price was reasonable. I also liked the fact that Larry (owner) was very helpful with all the questions answered in e-mails and his wife even called me when I mentioned that this is our first visit and I am a little bit nervous we don’t know french (by the way we never had any problem with parisians - everybody was nice and friendly and helpful when we asked questions with our poor broken french) Philippe (concierge) was always available via phone or internet and very nice and helpful too. Thank you again and we’ll definitely recommend this apartment!

| My kids and I thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay in Paris, and we especially appreciated our lovely accommodations at 21, rue Beranger. Behind the beige steel doors in the second courtyard, we found a much bigger, brighter, and more beautiful apartment than we had expected. As enticing as the pictures are, they do not display the true size and attractiveness of this apartment, with its tiled kitchen and bathroom and its beaded velvet comforter. Having stayed in several smaller and cramped rooms in the past, we relished its comfort and cleanliness. In addition to many other amenities, we had cable TV and fast Internet access, which kept my kids happy. Our concierge, Philippe, was extraordinarily pleasant and helpful. My heartiest congratulations to the owners on their successful renovation of this apartment! |

The apartment was great and big enough for the five of us (three kids). It was remarkably clean when we got there, and quite comfortable even though temperatures in Paris were around 35C or 95F. We would definitely recommend it to anyone and will probably rent it again in the future.

What a pleasure! from the minute we opened the door until we sadly had to say good-bye, the apartment was wonderful. It was bigger than it appeared in the photographs which meant it was enough space for the four of us. As someone who has had the pleasure of living in Paris before, I feel confident in saying that the experience of staying there was very authentic as well as being incredibly comfortable, safe and charming. We would not hesitate to stay there again! |

| I just wanted to drop a few lines to tell you that the apartment at 21 Rue Beranger was beautiful and made our trip so much better that a hotel room ever could have. It is very chic and convenient and three of us wouldn't hesitate to stay there again and have recommended to family and close friends. Though we encountered very warm weather the apartment was always plesantly cool and the fan was all we needed even on the hottest day. I especially loved the fact that it was located in the hidden courtyard and was on the ground floor. After walking all of Paris and schlepping up what seemed like a million stairs it was good not to have to climb up at the end of the long day. Philippe was wonderful!! My daughter Becca and I fell in love with him instantly and he was most helpful. We found him to be warm and genuine. Tom liked the convenience of the laptop and we were able to stay in touch with friends and family. Thanks again for our wonderful stay in wonderful Paris. |

The apartment was exactly as described and shown in the photographs. It is spacious, very comfortable and the location good. The double courtyard meant that it was very quiet, even though it was only a stone's throw from the Place de la Republique. We would certainly hope to stay there again and will recommend it to friends. |
