| Having just returned from a week at the Beau Marais, arr. 4, Paris, I'd like you to know it was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Ideal location, close to public transportation and 2 boulangeries (essential for morning coffee & croissants or ...) close by. The market across the street was very handy. Loved the welcome bottle of tasty wine and the staples and books left by former guests and the landlord. Must mention the apartment contact "Moon" was very accommodating and helpful. Thanks for helping to make our stay so fun! I left you a CD or 2. ND |

| My husband and I had a WONDERFUL stay in this apartment - it met all our needs, including being close to the shops, Metro, delicious restaurants, pastry shops, etc. It was well maintained, clean, and certainly created a "home-from-home" feeling. We also used many of the guidebooks that Joelle has left in the apartment. I would recommend this place to friends and family! |

We had a wonderful stay in Paris at Joelle's Beaumarais apartment over Christmas week, 2008. The apartment was extremely comfortable and the location was great - close to metro stops, markets, bakeries, Le Marais (best falafel we have ever had), Picasso Museum... We got the one week Metro pass and travelled all around Paris. It was very nice coming "home" at the end of the day rather than being at a hotel. Having fresh baked bread and cheese from the local shops for breakfast was a great part of the Paris experience. |

a lot of thought and creativity were invested in upgrading this property - making it a fine base for visiting Americans. the umbrella on the hook by the front door is a nice touch. also the original glass paned door to the bedroom, which actually keeps out sound from the TV.
there's a real commitment to the enterprise. we called Joelle's Paris contact about some glitches - vanity light out, toilet seat broken - she came that evening with the handyman and took care of it. the bed gives an excellent night's sleep. the appliances work.the washer/dryer is noisy. just try to be out when it's on. we were there in winter - the unit still had good light. very well heated.
the building was clean, quiet, well-maintained.
we're vegan- the Thai restaurant diagonally across the street, Mai Thai, had a small, but excellent reasonably priced vg selection. a little further, on Ile St Louis, Le grenier de Notre-Dame is a vegetarian option well worth the walk. Naturalia, health food store on Rue St Antoine, has a deep inventory. prices not much more than in the US.
the Bastille market is a great free show. we found it manageable on Thursday, overwhelming on Sunday.
for book bargains, Mona Lisait, on rue pavee.
we hope to be back - strongly recommend the apartment.

| On our first visit to Paris we decided to rent an apartment rather than go the hotel route. We couldn't have been happier. We lived just like a local and was able to feel very much at home. The apartment was clean, convenient and the owner was very accomodating. We would stay here again. |

| My husband and I had a wonderful stay in the Marais, thanks to Joelle and her Beaumarais apartment. Although I've lived in Paris and visited many times, I especially appreciated the perfect location, the quiet setting, the comfortable bed, the simple but nicely chosen furnishings, and Joelle's helpfulness. Her list of places to shop was just terrific; we had some of the best yogurt and gruyere we've ever tasted at the cheese shop she listed and we loved several of the restaurants she recommended. Even the taxi company she suggested was excellent. The thoughtfulness and care she put into making the experience in Paris a good one made me want to turn around and go straight back to France upon our return home. |

| Le Marais is our favourite part of Paris and this beautiful apartment makes staying there all the more comfortable and affordable. It is excellently equipped and beautifully fitted out. It is quiet and convenient for everything. Joelle has even provided the most comprehensive local information you could want. We will hope to stay there every time we return to Paris. |

What a find! Having spent at least five hours online researching apartments in Paris, I was delighted and relieved to find that the apartment I chose was precisely what we wanted: great central location with a local - ie. not touristy - feel; tasteful, modern decor; fine amenities (clean bathroom with separate toilet, washing mashine, dishwasher); and plenty of living (and wardrobe) space for two people. Given its first floor (that's 2nd floor in American) position on the courtyard and also the time of year (April), it was surprisingly light and came with the added bonus of complete silence at night. The bed was also superb - I have never slept so well and intend to buy one for myself ASAP. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone who has similar requirements to mine. So much better than staying in a hotel! |

| Beaumarais was the perfect apartment for our vacation needs. It is in a great neighborhood with easy walking distance to restaurants, shops, and tourist locations. Access to the metro stops Bastille and Chermin Vert were a few minutes walk. My wife and I likened it to staying over a good friend's place. It has everything you would need to make a vacation stay easy. My wife loved the bed comforter. Washer/Dryer came in handy as well as those much needed outlet adapters for our US standard electronics. The supermarket next door was perfect when we decided to save money and cook a nice meal. Booking the place was an easy transaction. I appreciated that we were able to pay in USD. We stayed for 5 nights in March 2008 and the rainy weather didn't deter us one bit from having a good time. Overall, I would easily recommend this place to others and would book another stay here on our next Paris trip. |

| A lovely, clean, and quiet apartment in a great location. We were welcomed with fresh flowers and a bottle of wine. Joelle was very helpful in providing information about the area, including transportation options and restaurants. There were cords to hook up an iPod through the stereo; very nice touch. |

| My daughter and I spent two weeks in Paris celebrating her 40th birthday and this apartment was delightful! It is centrally located to everything that was important to us--museums, shops, metro and restaurants. We felt like real Parisians shopping in the local food markets and cooking at home. We would gladly refer anyone to stay here at BeauMarais. Cheers, JR |

I rented this special apartment for my 1st solo trip to Paris in '05, and it contributed hugely to the success and enjoyment of those 3 months. Spacious with 4 big windows, the space was quickly warm on cool nights (loved the throw blankets as well) and comfortable in humid June. Large closet stores all out of sight, handy entry coat rack, full- length mirror, excellent reading light, workable kitchen so I often cooked in using my Sunday purchases from the best open-air marche in Paris (the nearby Richard Lenoir), quick & limitless hot water, heated towel rack, a G-20 market across the narrow street, nearby metro, the location amidst the ambience of Le Marais, plus guidebooks. One of those sent me exploring throughout the city in search of overlooked gems that enrich the city and catalog her history. Great a-ha! moments. One small problem at the beginning was the DSL hookup for my computer. Joelle followed up by having a Parisienne friend come to the apt. and resolve the issue, and viola, connection.
I confess I was clueless about Joelle's listing of Ligne Roset furniture. Wow, what comfort these pieces offered. But what really got me was the bed, the most comfortable I'd ever slept on. I told my husband (who visited me for a week), "You won't believe the bed," but he did after 1 night. That Ligne Roset package--foam mattress, frame, headboard--I coveted for 1-1/2yrs and finally bought one for my home this year. Lastly, as a woman traveling alone, I always felt safe in this apartment and in the neighborhood. What a pleasure it was to come "home" at the end of a busy day in Paris. |

What a great little find in a fabulous area of Paris. The apartment has a very comfortable bed and couch, and we were happy to find some wonderful Ella Fitzgerald cd's to play that enhanced our "Parisian" mood.
It was a treat to just walk around this fabulous neighborhood, have coffee and a croissant, and browse in the trendy shops. The Picasso Museum is a few blocks away and was a wonderful place to visit.
Would we return? In a hearbeat. Thanks so much to Joelle... |

| We love this apartment. Forget about hotels in Paris. This is where you want to stay. Two of us stayed there for a week in the summer. The place is very comfortable and well appointed. It has everything you need. The location is perfect! I’ve been recommending this apartment to friends and coworkers ever since we stayed there. The place is perfect for two and can easily work for four. We can’t wait to go back. |

This apartment is an amzing discovery; extreeemely comfortable, beautifully designed, quiet and the location could not be better. Place des Vosges is right around the corner, the Marais at our feet and the metro one block away, although there was so much to in the neighborhood, it was hard to go anywhere else. There is a grocery store directly across the street, a bakery one block in any direction and our favorite restaurant, le Petit Marché a block away. We've rented apartments in foreign cities but this was the best experience we've ever had. December is a great time to go to Paris and this is a great apartment. Thank you Joelle, we'll be back soon. | Clean and safe apt. for the single traveler. Owner, JD, thought of every amenity and tastefully decorated this fine apartment. It is convenient to every sight: Bastille metro services 3 lines, bus no. 69 and 29 go directly to the Musee D'Orsay and Opera Garnier respectively. This old Renaissance neighborhood is full of children, small boutiques, and great history. Within easy walking distance are the Carnavalet, Picasso, Victor Hugo, and Conacq-Jay museums. It's really a gem, highest recommendation. |
