Our family of 5 stayed at La Belle Cour for a week this summer and had a wonderful time. There was plenty of space and we enjoyed nearly all of our meals out in the courtyard. We loved the little village of Vias and it's market , the bakery just a few doors away was the best we found in France, and the nearby beaches were great. |

| La Belle Cour was a lovely and relaxing place to stay - more like a home than holiday accommodation. I stayed in August 2008 with a group which included 2 children and there really was something for everyone in the surrounding area. The bakeries just round the corner made even breakfast a treat and we all really enjoyed the walking tour of Vias. |

| La Belle Cour was ideal for our 2 week holiday. The village and surrounding area has all you need although car hire is advisable for more distant exploring as there is not a lot of public transport on the doorstep. Having said that, we made do with cycling - it's flat enough even for the unfit to cope and ideal for short trips to the beach (which was very quiet in September). Enough bars and restaurants close to the house for evenings. Would recommend. |

| We stayed with two other couples at La Belle Cour the last two weeks of September 2007. Weather was perfect in Southern France. The off season time was nice in that it was quite quiet and easy to get around. The village of Vias was a perfect place to stay to experience the French culture in this quaint and beautiful Village. Locals are friendly and helpful. Everything one needs is within a five minute walk. The accomodations were comfortable and everything one needed was there. We all enjoyed our stay and would recommend La Belle Cour to others. |

We had a great time. We use self catering alot and my wife Sandi wanted to let you know that this was the first place we have stayed where there was everything one wanted. It is good that the owners use it as the little things are right.

Had a great time really enjoyed our stay. The house was A1, really well stocked with everything, and experience of Vias wonderful. Really enjoyed Europark, Vias Plage and Marseillan Plage. Thanks very much for everything - your housebook was invaluable and really well organised. Love the laid back style of the village - market was lovely.

Dear Anne, Our stay was absolutely wonderful - thank you so much! Your home is lovely and the proximity to the beach and the sights was just great. We toured Carcassonne and Narbonne to the west, Nimes, Avignon, and the Camargue to the east, and went to several caves in the Florensac and Pezenas area. Pezenas was my favorite town - unexpectedly beautiful and charming. And I'm hooked on the croissants from Yes Captain! No Boston pastry will ever measure up. Many thanks, we will be recommending La Belle Cour to our friends! Rebekah

| The house is very comfortable and a great "jumping-off" place to visit sights in the area. We spent one day taking the "little yellow train" into the Pyrannees, and another visiting Carcassonne. The twice-weeking market in Vias is a gem. It made me wish I was more in the mood for cooking even though I was on vacation! Ms. Woodyard has many guidebooks and information guides available at the house to help plan your stay. We would definitely return and will try to plan more time for our next visit. |

?Far from the bustling crowds of metropolitan Washington, DC, to the serenity of Vias, France, our stay at La Belle Cour afforded our family the perfect getaway while enjoying the sights and flavor of southern France. To stay in an authentic French villa, located on a typical narrow street provided a wonderful atmosphere to relax and enjoy family time together. The home offered our family both privacy and wonderful gathering places–the courtyard was our favorite, spending each evening there eating dinner, playing cards, and enjoying each others company. Every morning we made our way to one of the nearby bakeries, enjoying delicious French pastries and baguettes. Market day was a special treat as we explored each booth displaying local cuisine and wonderful fruits and vegetables. La Belle Cour is conveniently located and made day trips to Aix de Provence, Carcassone (where we toured a walled medieval town), and Agde an easy driving experience. Touring the nearby winery, Domaine Prignes-le-Vieux, was most impressive and the castle located on the grounds is still lived in during the warmer months. We visited the local wine co-op and purchased bottles of wine for under one Euro each!!!! The beautiful sandy beach is within walking distance of the home. Our stay at La Belle Cour was a memorable experience and we all look forward to a return trip there in the future. |

Our family "absorbed" La Belle Cour in Vias, France for three weeks in August, 2006 and fell in love with it!!The home is brightly decorated with all the amenities one needs and has ample room for a family to share. The courtyard brought in the morning sun and we had most of our meals out there. A two minute walk along the way to the town square provided us with a boulangerie(fresh baguettes and croissants),an Internet cafe, fish monger, fresh produce, groceries, restaurants (for that morning cafe au lait),pubs, excellent cheap French wine, the Tabac where we bought our telephone cards to call home and a Friday night party where the locals come to eat and dance the night away to a live band! Walk around the corner the other way from La Belle Cour and you come upon a historic church which on Wednesday and Saturday mornings opens up its parking lot and the surrounding streets to wonderful market stalls filled with local pottery, linens, 'flea market' items, local produce, meats and heavenly varieties of French cheeses. We walked regularly to the Vias Plage,a 2km jaunt south(past the Tourist Info, which had AC-bus trips to wine and historic upcountry),past the Beach shops to the awesome beauty of the azure Mediterranean !Pick a spot on the sand or rocks and soak up the ambience. The local bus(line 210) took us into the larger city of Beziers and to the local towns nearby and which connected us to the Agde train station, hosting all levels of train travel. The Woodyards have a wonderful spot which afforded us a real taste of life in southern France. I'm missing the early morning greeting heard outside our windows,"Bonjour, c'est va?" by the locals and soon by those of us who felt welcome to join in the responses. |

| "La Belle Cour" is the kind of place where you feel more like a local than a tourist - just one reason we loved our stay there! Charmingly authentic decor, comfortable beds, outdoor breakfasts with the sun coming over the courtyard wall (even in March when it's still winter in Paris!), and all the delights of a quiet French village just outside the door. Clean and cosy, "La Belle Cour" just feels like home. |
