We spent our first Christmas away from home, and we could not have chosen a better place to spend Christmas than the Mountain View Chalet. Steve and Laura did us the favor of decorating the chalet with a Christmas tree, and other decorations. The kids had a lot of fun playing outside and down in the basement. The adults did a lot of relaxing, and also enjoyed challenging the kids to pool and ping-pong.
The chalet is well equipped to accommodate kids and adults alike. It is conveniently located just 4 miles outside of town, and only 20 min. to Whiteface mountain. However, the 10 acre property gives you all of the privacy you need.
We were a group of nine.......5 adults, and 4 children, ages 14, 13, 11, and 7, and we are all looking forward to returning.
We highly recommend this place!!

| This wonderful house provided the perfect setting for my adult children, grandchildren and I to play together for a week in, on and around beautiful Lake Placid. The kitchen was well-eqipped and large enough for several cooks to work in. There were enough comfortable beds and bathrooms to accomodate all of us. The hot tub was used every day and was especially fun at night. And the gameroom was in constant use. In general, the chalet is beautiful, clean, well-maintained and just plain fun to stay in. We had a great time! |

| The house is even better than the pictures...the kitchen is unbelievable. We opted to stay in and eat instead of going out because it was so much fun to cook in this kitchen. The property is beautiful...The hottub is the perfect touch...the house was spotless and decorated beautifully. The gameroom downstairs is a real bonus. We're praying for another hockey camp to come up this winter so we can enjoy Lake Placid again..and hopefully get to enjoy the Chalet once more. Our hats are off to he Hubers for sharing this wonderful property with us. Thanks. |

We had such a lovely time staying in the Chalet! When we arrived the place was immaculate and very welcoming. It was nice to be as secluded as we were, yet close enough to town and other activities. The kitchen was a joy, as was the master bathroom and hot tub on the deck. It was the relaxing environment that we were looking for.
We hope to return.

We had a wonderful vacation - many local attractions: two great lakes, many peaks, exquisite vistas, water falls, boating, fishing, Olympic venues (including demonstrations year round), fabulous restaurants, numerous outlets for shopping; sheer natural beauty. Your home is very comfortable, spacious, with many unique features and amenities: fire place, gourmet kitchen, hot tub, special shower, multiple baths, game and exercise room, large deck. What a great place to relax in comfort, and what a great base for exciting day trips and activities. The Huber home is superb; many thanks.

Dear Steve & Laura,
My wife and I have been vacationing in Lake Placid
for many years, and have stayed at the very finest
hotels in town, but have never enjoyed anyplace as
much as our week in your beautiful chalet. The hot
tub on the back deck is the perfect place to relax
and unwind. Cooking isn't something we'd
normally do on vacation but we can't wait to get
back so that we can make some more pancakes in
your kitchen. Looking forward to getting back up
there in the winter winter to do some skiing. |

I stayed at the chalet from July 30 through August 7 this year and I'd have to say that it is the best spot I've been to in the area.
The chalet was very comfortable for the seven of us and provided a great family vacation. We were able to kick back and relax and prepare great meals in the kitchen and relax on the huge deck and living area.
I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing family vacation in a pristine setting. |

Thank you very much for allowing us to stay in your house. It is an absolutely beautiful house, and we enjoyed our stay very much. The hot tub under the blue sky was the best,it was very relaxing. All of us had lots of fun with the games in the basement. We enjoyed playing pool, table tennis, and excersing on the equipment you had provided. The house was also very cozy. Lake Placid itself, is a beautiful place to stay filled with gorgeous views and many activities to do. We thank you again, and hope to possibly stay in your house in the future.

What a fantastic experience. Your beautiful home is so serene and peacefull. This was our 3rd winter Lake Placid vacation but by far the best. After a wonderful day of skiing the kids, big and small, enjoyed the hot tub amidst a beautiful sunset.
My sister and I, the gourmet chefs in the family, whipped up some of the most amazing meals in the most amazing kitchen. Not a crumb left.

Oh my God! Your place is gorgeous. We can't wait to come back -- and we are coming back. The balcony, the view, the kitchen, everything is just a dream. And to go for a day's xc skiing right out the back door is awesome. Your location is perfect for the hiker, xc skiier, or anyone who wants some solitude on those beautiful wooded acres of land.
