Kehau & Lou, EVERYTHING WAS WONDERFUL! This is a great place to stay & your hospitality was so kind. We love it here & hope to return soon.
To others- Go on the tour to the waterfall with Joshua through the Fish & Dive Shop. Joshua knows so much! It is great! "Dont change Molokai! Let Molokai change YOU!"

Kehau & Lou, as I sit here on our last evening in the Cottage enjoying the fabulous view & a beautiful sunset, I am very greatful that I found your website during my search for lodging. I didn't know what to expect from Molokai, but our stay here has been everything I could have hoped for & more. My only regret is that we are not staying longer! The last four days have been incredibly peaceful & relaxing & the Cottage has much to do with that. For once, we did not feel the need to rush around seeing & doing everything that there is to see & do so I do not have much in the way of tips to add to this guest book. The drive to the west end & Papohaku Beach is definitely worth it (although my calves still have not recovered from walking on such soft sand!), but there are beautiful beaches nearby as well. The beach near mile marker 16 is not to be missed! The drive to the other end of the road, Halawa, is also well worth it as the scenery is spectacular! Oh, snorkeling, how could I forget snorkeling!! The snorkeling trip with Molokai Fish & Dive is worth every penny. The reef is spectacular & the turtles and manta rays were the most amazing things I have ever seen in the water. So thank you Kehau & Lou for sharing your home and beautiful Island with us ( & your rice! ) We are sad to be leaving, but we will definitely be back. Next year if we can pull it off!!

Today we carry our windscrubbed hearts back across the ocean. Lighter than when we came. And back at home, when we see the sun setting over the western horizon, we will entertain visions of red earth, clear water and quick footed geckos and long-necked white birds watching from the treetops like little quiet angles....Molokai, our eyes will never see the same again.

Kehau, Thank you for sharing your "Slice of Paradise". We enjoyed our week her on the east side. We loved waking up to birds singing and watching the sun rise over the ocean. Our days were so peaceful, bird watching, butterfuly watching, and sitting at the beach and of course one never becomes tired of whale watching. As evening sunset colors fade and the stars come out....we know there is no other place on earth we would want to be. Of all the islands we feel Molokai has the true Aloha Spirit! We had the most wonderful time in this enchanted cottage on the hill. We watched whales & stars from the lanai & enjoyed the cool breeze & amazing views of the surroundings. We had a fantastic bike trip up to the Kamakou Preserve, a very beautiful and special place. We will recommend the snorkel trip from the Fish-n-Dive Shop. We saw spinner dolphins, whales, sea turtles, a manta ray & beautiful fish & the spectacular coral reef. We also enjoyed the Friday afternoon entertainment, food & drinks at the Hotel Molokai & yummy pizza from the Pizza Cafe. Thanks for sharing this most wonderful place. Thanks Kehau for the best private views of Maui, the stars and an occasional whale swimming under a rainbow. A peaceful, private gem in the East end of Molokai. Will be back real soon, Rocky

Having read many entries of those who preceeded us, it is hard to describe the beauty, peacefullness, and serenity of your cottage and island any better. My wife and I sincerely thank you for sharing your home with us and for giving us the oppertunity to become a part of this beautiful island. The time passed much too quickly and now it is time to go home....But we will return because your island your home have become a part of us. Thank you so very much.

Kehau & Lou...Wow! what a great view of the world and life from the deck! Days became meaningless (what day is it??) and life became meaningful.
The bed was great! The view of the stars and Maui are unforgettable. Your hospitality will always be remembered. Hope to see you again!
We really enjoyed our week here at your place and would love to stay longer. Perhaps the winds will carry us back here again. Anyway, all the blessings to you and a big "Mahalo"

I'm sitting here, trying to find new ways to describe perfection, and all I can think to say is: Look out the window, at the view, and you will see and know perfection.
My husband celebrated his 50th birthday here and we could think of no better way to celebrate than to spend our time on Molokai. Lovely beaches (esp. Dixie Maru), stunning sights (Halawa Valley) and a little education too, (the NeNe goose sanctuary).
Thank-you for sharing this beautiful cottage. It let's us Mainlanders pretend for a little while that we are Kamaaina.

Kehau and Lou, thank you for one of our most enjoyable vacations. We loved the cottage, from the movies in small movie library to the comfy bed, to the whirlpool tub! You have everything we needed here and much more.
The drive to the end of the road to Halawa Valley was beautiful, we even saw a Monk Seal on the beach! The Mule Ride to Kalaupapa was Robert's favorite. So beautiful and peaceful on the pennisula, even with such an infamous history surrounding us.
We are not ready to leave and will miss the deck views. We plan to be back soon! Mahalo

Gentle winds, warm water and warmer similes everywhere. Scuba diving with Bill Kapune is highly recommended. He knows where to go! Eddie Tanaka is THE guide for the Halawa Valley Hike. So much to see and learn (and respect). Jamming at the beach and hearing local music was great. Played long into the night with waves for accompanienment and bright stars to light our way. A wonderful sunrise (and moonrise)everyday. Such a joy to spend even the briefest of time in this peaceful and beautiful place. We will be back!

Kehau & Lou, We enjoyed your cottage, it was as beautiful as you described it plus more. The view from the lanai was absolutely incredible especially at night. The lights over on the island of Maui were great. We could lay in bed & look out at the lights. The view of the mountain out the back of the cottage was also incredible. You truly do live in paradise. The island is very peaceful, layed back & very very friendly. All the local people smile & wave. We met a few people at Molokai Hotel, very interesting people, saw some hula dancing. Great!
Thank you so much! Hope to come back again.

Kehau & Lou - This cottage was wverything we expected and MORE! The photos on the web barely represent the actual ambience that is here everyday - rain or shine! And to add to the charm...when the lights were out, (Friday) the moon still had enough glow to give out more than enough lite to see clearly.
Thank you & Mahalo for making our honeymoon the most memorable it could possibly be!
The small town charm of the island only serves to remind us of where we came from (before San Diego)
We hope to return again someday!
Love to you both!

The magical play of moonshadow through the raftrers on the deck. The stars blinking in & out as tropical clouds drift on a warm tropical night. The ocean of green canopy. The white birds soaring above. The powerful, yet soothing rythm of the surf. The magenta sky over Maui at the break of day. The sudden cool drumbeat of a tropical shower. The gentle caress of a cooling breeze on a warm afternoon. The play of headlights through the trees below, like Menehune lights at night. All this, and so much more are the memories you've helped to create. We will return again. Mahalo!

What a Beautiful "getaway" in your "Cottage on the hill" We would like to stay longer and we will one day. The view is overwhelming - the breezes soft and cool. The stars bright and the coast of Maui sparkles like a diamond tennis bracelet!!! For all those who follow us.... "Pleasant Dreams"!!

We have enjoyed a wonderful week here on Molokai. Although the big storm early in the week took us by surprise, we enjoyed the cozy atmosphere of the cottage.
This was our second trip to Molokai so we enjoyed revisiting favorite spots and finding new ones. We drove to the end of the road in Molokai Ranch and found the jetty where the outrigger race begins.
Thank you so much, Kehau for sharing your beautiful hilltop cottage with us. We hope to visit you again soon.
