| We found the house to be comfortable, quiet and spacious. Views are excellent (stars, sunsets). We put up a hummingbird feeder and attracted dozens of them. Hope we can rteturn next year. |

We had a truly magical stay. This house is more than
we ever would have expected -- perfect for our family
and both close to town and secluded at the top of a
hill. We'll never forget the many birds that visited the
bird feeder and listening to the nearby coyotes! |

| This lovely Santa Fe home exceeded our expectations in every way. It was conveniently located, quiet, and very comfortable. We loved sitting out on the deck(s) and watching the beautiful scenery. We hope to return next year and duplicate the perfect September vacation we had. The owners were also both thoughtful and friendly. |

| What a beautiful home and we loved the location. We sat outside on the deck and enjoyed the views of the surrounding countryside. Great place and location. We really enjoyed Santa Fe and this is a really neat place to stay. Secluded with wonderful views and close to lots of stuff.

To the Eastmans;
We had a great month in your homey rental house. We felt like we had a cozy mountain retreat, 5 minutes from the Plaza. The views are spectacular, although the weather didn't encourage sitting outside to enjoy them. However, the falling snow added to the beauty of the surrounding area during the Christmas holiday season.

Thank you for providing your house during our nine day stay in Sante Fe. The location was perfect - it gave a very private feeling, but was only a short distance to town. The kitchen was well furnished, and the other amenities were super. We used the house as our base for day hikes in the region, and to visit the old town area. | From its layout and decor to its amenities and privacy, your house is everything we hoped for and more. The sunsets and star-filled skies from the deck were special benefits for two Easterners. And we also appreciated your travel-themed art - looks like we've visited many of the same places. Given the home's intelligent layout, two couples as well as a family could easily share a rental and still have plenty of space and privacy (but I have dibs on the master closet!).Working with you was pleasant and efficient - no surprises. My husband and I both agreed we could live in your house full-time - if we didn't work in Washington DC. |

| Our whole family, including a 1.5-yr-old and a 3.5-yr-old, thoroughly enjoyed our time living at your home. We stayed at the Eastmans' home for 3 months, from mid-September to mid-December 06. You cannot imagine the delight of our little boy upon arriving at "our Santa Fe house" after 6 weeks of being on the road! He ran up to the door and we could not get it unlocked fast enough to contain his excitement! He then ran through the house from end to end several times saying I LOVE IT!! We also were in love. The house was great for a long-term home base (my husband worked at home a lot) -- comfortable, private, feeling "away-from-it-all" when that's what you want, and CLOSE to it all when you want to venture out! If you are considering renting this place long term with kids, look no further. It is PERFECT. The home has everything you could want, inside and out. We enjoyed the adjacent arroyo for walks and kids' play in the sand and hunting for rocks, the gently sloped driveway for small-scale "biking" and even sledding a couple of times, the views, the layout of the house, the deck (fully enclosed--safe for a toddler) and the thoughtful furnishings and amenities provided by John and Elizabeth. The setting is just incredible. I completely agree with other guests who have raved about the closeness to downtown, yet the feeling of seclusion! The gated driveway was really nice. Fall in Santa Fe was magical... the skilift ride to view the aspens is a must if you are here at that time. Hikes at Tent Rocks and Bandelier were wonderful, and we also recommend any events at Rancho de las Golondrinas. We joined the Childrens' Museum, got a public library card, and Video/DVD rental card at Hastings (easiest place for out-of-state people to get an account, and very close to the house -- by Albertson's grocery). We had fun looking through the file of restaurant reviews the Eastmans have left for guests! We would return to Santa Fe in a heartbeat, and would definitely try to book the Eastmans' place!
