There is such good energy here, and I know I will come away refreshed and prepared for the challenges ahead. I was so thrilled with your book, CD, and DVD collections--all my favorites! (Do we know each other?) Some of the titles brought me back many years..."Armistead Maupin's "Tales of the City"; I watched these all the time. Grew up to Helen Reddy's music and as a child, Xanadu! I could go on, but you get my drift. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. I felt right at home here.This is by far the best retreat we've been on, and the best, most tastefully designed home. Very beautiful.

I'm back! And will I return again--absolutely. Although this was to be a 'vacation'--a time away to rest. Instead it has been about 80% work. However, because I was here, the quiet, the solitude, the smell of the Redwoods, the peace that I feel, I got clarity and was able to come to decisions, make headway. Hi Kent I wanted to make sure you know how
grateful my 3 girlfriends and I are for the peaceful
space you've created & are sharing at Far Reaches.
We arrived all quite stressed & it immediately
started to melt away among those redwood trees
and the peaceful energy in and around the home.
The gift basket was such a nice touch. We really
enjoyed your CD collection and our favorite feature
is that 3 headed out door shower. I slept in the
meditation hut & I pray blessings over the hands
that created that space that helped re energize me.
I came home so refreshed and raving about Far
Reaches to any one who will listen. I plan to return
with my husband for a romantic getaway. I saw the
before and after pictures and it's just amazing to
me to think that some creative soul came up with
and carried out the creation from ordinary to
extraordinary. I seriously felt like I was in Bali!

Far Reaches is by far the most relaxing space we could have spent our girlfriends getaway in. We So enjoyed the meditation hut, patio...by far though the 3 headed outdoor shower is one of the most enjoyable features at this home. Than you so much for creating this sacred space. We could feel the relaxing energy all around. It's been a great place to do yoga, chakra clearings, meditation, soul searching...we hope to carry the peace we found here in our own homes. So much attention to the details have been put into the creation of this place. We feel the warmth. We so hope to return here. We were blessed with a month to enjoy "Far Reaches" and all surrounding cities and coastal drives. Living thru 2 weeks of winter storms and then being blessed with 2 weeks of sunny 52 degrees, allowed us to experience the elements in the Redwoods and along the coast in a way we never had before.This is a beautiful region and a wonderful home environment to return to each evening. A unique experience for us --and we have travelled widely to Israel, Sweden,

Here lies one of the most restorative and nourishing spots ever...my husband
and I experienced tremendous healing after my miscarriage early last week.
So easy to get back into gratitude. Stayed close to the cottage and visited the

As I sit at the desk trying to recap our awesome vacation,
one word keeps popping up...relaxing! We (being from
Chicago) really enjoyed having utter peace and quiet. This
cabin deep in the woods is so private and peaceful that
time stands still. This home has everything one could need
to relax and center oneself prior to going back to the real
world. We enjoyed taking a sauna bath then laying on the
lounge chairs and drinking some of the incredible wine we
purchased at the winerys. Thanks for putting together an

Beautiful home in a breathtaking area! If you venture down
to the coast I highly recommend the drive up Highway 1 all
the way from San Francisco up to Fort Ross. Some of the
most spectacular scenery in the lower 48! You've done a

a beautifully conceptualized and realized home and retreat.
I enjoyed having my coffee early in the morning on the deck
looking up at the Redwoods and Douglas Fir. Beethoven's
Piano Sonatas sounded especially good in the morning air. I
just really enjoyed this Bali-inspired home. We also
enjoyed your books on Tropical garden design and Bali
style. Full of great ideas. It's amazing that you put this
together in only the last six years! Bravo!! Next time
we're planning to be out here, we'll definitely book your

Three sisters from Seattle escaping the potentially record breaking rainstorm
of 30 days decided to head down here immediately following a terrible flood
in this area. Luckily, the sun broke through, all was dry, and a great vacation
it was. As one sister remembered from her last stay at Far Reaches, it felt like
home, and we slept better here than in our own beds. Hoping to make this a
regular thing. Even though I love the outdoor shower in the steaming cold, it
will be nice to someday experience a summer here. Can't wait to return!

Hey...where is the remote for the massage therapist!!! Orchid, our tiny
Chinese Crested puppy would often disappear from the pack, only to be
found in the meditation hut. The first time she disappeared, we called her by
all of her names for at least 10 minutes with no luck. Mild panic set in until
someone finally noticed her in the hut, sitting peacefully, looking at us like

Your vacation home is one of the most romantic places we have ever been. And with the "Forgotten Coast" so close, our daughter was able to play on the beach with 50 sea lions sunbathing only yards away. 5 STARS--The best run rental of a house I have EVER done! Two 7 year old girls had numerous fantasies in the garden...and thank you for the gifts! Such a beautiful touch!

What a wonderful experience this week has been. Far Reaches is seamingly an accidental paradise in an unappreciated paradise of its own. Indonesia melds handsomely with the ruggedness of the redwoods making Far Reaches a choreographed dance you will loose yourself in. Initially you are filled with the naked appreciation for the lushness and serenity of Far Reaches' unique balance. Only later do you start to wonder about the creativity and research that went into its ability to function, to exist. Many kudos to all the hard work and obvious love given to this amazing place and for allowing us the pleasure of its experience!
P.S.--It's been in the 100's this week, but you'd never know it here!

What a visual delight it was to walk through the carved gates and behold a place of such beauty. In every nook and cranny and on the spacious decks were healthy flowers and trees (how do you keep them so green?) It is obvious that you really did your homework! As the days went by I kept seeing things I had initially missed--a darling planter, a flowering tree or shrub. Your hard work to make this such a beautiful hide-away was in evidence everywhere! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I arrived a tired and broken man. Mentally, physically and spiritually, I was drained. But soon I set foot in the mystical land, so appropriately titled, "Far Reaches." Magnificent! Wonderful! Glorious! Had I had a thesaurus, I surely would have been able to better describe the sensations I felt. All the wonders of Bali, and satellite TV as well. Think of the airfare I'd saved! I took a moment to reflect on the scenery...so many trees! And so tall! Time prevents me from adequately describing my weekend, as I can hear the tiny pitter-patter of the cleaning crew approaching. Neverless, it was a delight! (And I was relieved to not have a mingle with the riff-raff of the "Blues Festival!")

| We always have a great time at the cottage everytime we visit. While it's nice just to get away from the hassle of the City, we especially love going down to the ocean at Bodega Bay on the backroads. What a beautiful ride. Or spending the afternoons wine tasting at all the boutique wineries so close by. What a treat to relax and BBQ after an intense day of sipping. Thanks "Far Reaches" for all the wonderful memories. |

This hide-a-away paradise was just what I needed. Peace and quiet, except for the lovely chip of birds and a dog bark. The outdoor shower gives a morning shower a whole new freshness--a totally freeing/joyful feeling!
We loved Goat Rock Park/Beach...saw a male Elephant Seal there!! Still have a
few more things to do on your list of suggestions, so hopefully we'll be back!!

TV...satellite radio station...filtered water from the
tap...gorgeous wood cabinetry...outdoor shower...full
deck...flowers blooming...reminds me of Bali! In fact, makes
