We loved staying at this little studio in a very cool neighborhood. It was all perfect what with laptop, wifi, etc. Rebecca has thought of everything a guest might need and has provided it at a very reasonable cost. The apartment is clean and a nice place to hang out. The neighborhood has lots of eateries and interesting shops. The subway is a short 3-minute walk up Allen Street at Houston. Don't miss Katz Deli and get some smoked salmon, creamed herring, and bagels at Russ & Daughters, both on Houston. And we do recommend spending some time at 'inoteca on Rivington and Ludlow. Please also visit Ari at A&N Headwear (145 Orchard at Rivington) and check out his stellar collectin of hats. He's a really great guy and will treat you like family.
Things to be aware of are the recycling and trash bins in the hall outside of the apartment which can get a bit smelly but luckily the smell stayed out of the apartment. Also, the noise from the street behind the building (Orchard St) can be loud as there is a bar/club nearby.
Still, we had a very pleasant 4-night stay and would gladly stay here again. Rebecca is a perfect hostess and all communications were prompt and professional. Thanks, Rebecca! |

Rebecca's LES Studio is a fantastic place to stay in
NYC - clean, comfortable, safe and great value for
money. The apartment is stocked with thoughtful
touches (cellphone, umbrellas, laptop) that make it
a true home away from home. The LES is lively and
the apartment is near the subway (especially for
Brooklyn). We felt like we were actually living in a
neighbourhood with real people and not in a hotel
with other tourists. We hope to use it again on a
future visit, if it's available, and we highly
recommend it and Rebecca's hospitality. |

| My daughter and I had ten very busy and extremely rewarding days in Manhattan. 160 Allen St. provided us with all the amenities and comfort we required at very good value. Clean and well organized, the apt is located in a great neighborhood, the L.E.S. pulsates at night with music and a never ending supply of possible food options. A casual,friendly vibe prevails,subway connection across the street ( 20 mins to Carnegie Hall) walking distance to a multitude of New York attractions attractions. | Excellent location and it’s so convenient, close to everything. We drove from DC so, parking on the street was a little challenging but the street has a public parking space (open 24 hrs) too. The place is very organized, clean and has everything you need. It’s much better than staying at the hotel in NYC, highly recommended! |

Rebecca, What a wonderful apartment! This was exactly as advertised and exactly what we needed: a perfectly lovely, clean, and thoughtfully equipped apartment in a superb location. Two of us were very comfortable there, and I greatly appreciated the nice kitchen, the computer, and the other amenities that you provided. The guest guide that you included is truly superb. Your advice and suggestions on restaurants were great and gave real insight into the neightborhood. It's just like having a good friend's apartment and recommendations in the city. My only hesitation in giving a glowing review is that the apartment might not be available when I want to stay again! Thank you so much for a really great weekend.

| This is an outstanding place to stay. The location is excellent. The owner is a role model for courtesy and integrity. It is comfortable for two and roomy for one. I was doing business in New York and booked five stays. With that kind of experience, I was able to learn much about where to eat, where to shop, transport, sightseeing, etc. And I can't say enough about the Lower East Side. This neighborhood has so many advantages over the Upper East Side or Midtown, which are the first two places people want to go and stay in New York. Please write me if you want any tips on two relatively exotic items: I know where to rent nice bicycles and ride, and where to successfully park free for the weekend (I did it twice!). I have stayed at many private rentals, including three others in NYC, and this is the best, if your party fits. |

My boyfriend and I stayed in the Lower East Side Studio in July 2008. I had been to the city before on business and this was my boyfriend's first time. We drove through the night in from Michigan and parked the car at a garage near the apartment. I would recommend doing this but do not leave any valuables in the car; my boyriend's cell phone was stolen. This was the most negative thing that happened. Other than that our visit was incredible. We will be back and we will rent an apartment again. This apartment was very clean and had all the essentials plus some. It was very comfortable and we appreciate how the owner took care of the place. Getting around New York City was a breeze once you figured how to . . we rented bikes for our stay and we learned how to use the subway. This is the only way to get around New York City . . I wouldn't own a car if I lived here which by the end of the first day, we both agreed we could do just that! We purchased the New York City Pass which gets you into a variety of places at a set price. We mapped the trip and felt that we saw the things we wanted to . . but we'll be back because there's much more to see. Of the places we enjoyed . . Little Italy! Since my boyfriend is 100% Italian and Italians know their food, he was very pleased. The Italians know how to cook and bake . . I gained 5 pounds by hanging out in Little Italy . . eating outside is the best! Another amazing thing about New York City . . the people are nice and very helpful!!! We did not meet one rude person while there . . we looked but we didn't experience it. Thank you Rebecca for making our stay so awesome! We HIGHLY recommend renting your place . . it was beautiful!

| The apartment was just great: fabulous location and just right in terms of size and amenities. Would definitely stay there next time we are in NYC. I have done many vacation rentals and Rebecca was probably the best organized and easiest to communicate with of any owners of properties I have stayed at. I had to go down to DC after my visit and discovered that one of the cheap NYC-DC bus services (Washington Deluxe) makes a pickup 2 block away on Allen street, saving you a trip to Penn station to pick up the bus there. |

| Rebecca's apartment was everything as stated, no surprises. Apt. was clean, comfortable, and secure. Short walks to Little Italy, China Town, and the like. Once we figured out the subway system it was easy to hop on and travel anywhere in Manhattan. We would not hesitate in staying here again on our next trip to NYC. |

My boyfriend and I stayed in Rebecca's apartment for the 3rd time in about a year -- and it was just as fabulous this time as the last! We've now stayed twice in the summer and once in the winter. The apartment is very comfortable and Rebecca is wonderful to deal with. We do a lot of private rentals, and by far this was the best one in terms of ease of rental, the rental locations (Lower East Side is a great area with lots of bars, restaurants and shopping!), and the apartment itself is just great! Rebecca really does her best to make sure that you are comfortable in her apartment. Its a great spot, very very clean and very comfortable. I highly recommend this rental to anyone!

Bill and I had a fabulous stay in the LES! We
particularly loved the Essex market - Jeffrey (a
famous butcher) has amazing meats, there is an
assortment of fresh fruit at various stands, and a
couple of cheese mongers have an excellent
selection to choose from. Rebecca also
recommended restaurants and wine shops in the
LES that we would have loved to have had more
time to visit... there were so many choices! Overall,
a terrific apartment in a great location. Highly

| We love NYC and have stayed many places, but never in an apartment and never in the LES. I'll definitely do both again. What a great way to stay in the city. Rebecca is a thoughtful hostess who provided for all of our needs, from brochures and local info, to umbrellas, to returning personal items accidentally left behind. The apt. was clean, easy to navigate and perfect for us in every way. I didn't even truly mind the noise as part f the NY experience!! Excellent location with truly amazing places to eat in close proximity, steps to the subway, and world class shopping just minutes away (Soho, Meatpacking, Village). We felt less like tourists and more like guests in a friend's place. Thanks Rebecca! We look forward to visiting again. |

| My daughter and I stayed at Rebecca's apartment last week for four nights. The apartment is neat, clean and has everything you will need during your stay. The subway is about a 2 block walk or you may catch a cab in front of the apartment in seconds. People do gather on the sidewalk in front of the club on Orchard St. and did keep us awake at night with the window open. If you close the window and run the air conditioner it provides some relief. Rebecca did warn me about the noise from the club and does provide earplugs. Stop by Clinton Street Baking Co. for their wonderful breakfasts. |

I have visited NYC many times and have always stayed uptown near Times Square.
This time we wanted to get out of the tourist area and live like a New Yorker.
I was a little nervous at first, as the lower east side seemed a bit scary to me, as I'd never strayed from the mid-town area.
What a pleasant surprise to find we loved the area and the people. Everyone was so nice and didn't hesitate to help us with directions and share information with us.
The shops and restaurants were wonderful. We had the best Pastrami sandwich at Katz's Deli. An out of this world breakfast at Clinton's Bakery on Essex and Clinton. The BBQ place just behind the apartment and on Orchard, was to die for, with the most delicious baby back ribs you've ever tasted.
Be sure to head over to Mulberry and enjoy the three blocks of "Little Italy". We ate at a wonderful restaurant, but can't remember the name. I'm sure they're all just as scrumptious.
We loved the closeness to China Town, Greenwich Village and SoHo.
The apartment was just as lovely and cozy as described. We felt so at home each evening that we arrived "home".
Rebbecca had lots of brochures, books and good information on the area. I was able to use the computer and check on my emails and at the same time, look up places we planned to visit.
Don't hesitate to stay at this wonderful apartment, as you will surely be missing out on experiencing NYC as a native.

The apartment scores highly in just about all categories.
Location : 10/10 as with such a cheap transport system it is possible to get anywhere in NYC quickly, cheaply, and efficiently.
Cleanliness : 10/10 as it's not possible to score 11.
Heating : 9/10 as opening the window was exactly as described in the apartment notes - difficult. It was mid March for us and outside temps were around 33-38Deg and it was still too warm. Not sure what it will be like in the summer, but there are lots of fan things around.
Noise : 9/10 We were warned at some length to expect a lot of noise, but with the club only open Fri and Sat nights, it really was not a problem at all. Once again, Summer might be different.
Access : 9/10 A single flight of steps up to the apartment is just not the problem suggested.
Bed was great, although it might be a bit too cozy with the third in use.
You know, I just have to find something that's not perfect. A light bulb blew and there was no spare (it was the last night anyway so I swapped one over)
Not sure if a 5 night stay is a long enough stay to experience everything, but guests would have to be very awkward to genuinly find anything wrong.

| Rebecca's apartment is adorable. We were very comfortable in her sweet, cozy studio. We even cooked 3 dinners there, listened to our iPod music with her docking station, watched a few DVD's and felt "right at home". Our daughter lives in the neighborhood so it was especially wonderful to be able to have her come over for breakfasts and dinner and to be able to walk her home. We love the lower east side, east village, soho, and the west village which are all so easy to walk to from Rebecca's place. Her apartment was well set up, organized and clean. We will recommend her place to our friends and return. |

Rebecca, I just wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful time in your NY apartment. This was about my 10th trip to NY, and it really helped us feel more like New Yorkers by staying around the locals. There were literally no tourists in sight...that we could tell.
I will say that we were a little crowded with 3 girls and 8 suitcases in a tiny apartment. If we learned one thing on this trip, it is "Travel lighter next time!!!" But we really enjoyed the atmosphere of the LES and hope to have more time on our next trip to explore. (Too much time was spent at market for our business.) Thanks for making the whole rental experience so easy. I especially enjoyed the 2:00 check-out time. That really helped with our afternoon flight.

| My adult son and I spent a wonderful 5 days in NYC. It was great to come home to a cozy apartment after long days of sight seeing. Rebecca was very accomodating and was easy to contact when I needed help arranging transportaion due to a mix up with my prearranged transportaion company. We spent the evenings roaming the LES, taking in the color and culture of the city. We felt very safe and secure in Rebecca's apartment and neighborhood. If you want to feel like you are part of the city, and not a typical "tourist", I highly recommend this charming rental! |

| We had a wonderful stay in the Lower East Side studio. The studio is right in the middle of a fun area with plenty of good restaurants, interesting shops and bars. The area is definitely worth exploring but you can also walk to Soho and the Village in about 20 minutes. The subway station is only three blocks away so you can make your way around the city easily. The studio is a great place to come home to after a long day. It is very clean and comfortable and it has all that you need. So much better than a hotel room. We will certainly recommend this place to our friends. |

Her description of the colorful neighborhood and sites to see were right on the money. Every detail about the community was spelled out in her packet and her suggestions were great. The eateries were exactly what we were wanting, (real pizza, deli sandwiches, pastries, bagels) including delivery until 3:45 AM! Don't forget to go to Katz’s Deli and Schimmels Knishes, the best of the best!!! Thanks for a memorable trip to the city and a nice, clean, centrally located, place to call home for the week. The entrance to the subway was nearby. We particularly enjoyed how close the apartment was to Little Italy and Chinatown. There are several inexpensive restaurants to eat at within a block or two from the apartment--excellent food and easy on the wallet. | What a great apartment! The owner is friendly, helpful, and gracious. The apartment is equipped with everything you could need. The location is terrific. Within a block there is a vintage clothing store, a bookstore, and a pizzeria with Sicilian pizza and soft-style Italian ices--what more could you ask for? As soon as you step out the door you have a view of the Chrysler Building, the most beautiful tall building in NYC. The people I met in the neighborhood were uniformly friendly and helpful as well, glad to stop and give directions or take a picture for me. For however long you stay here, you will feel like a native New Yorker staying in this great apartment! |
