| My daughters, my best friend and I were needing a break after a busy year and found the perfect spot. The house is great, the hammocks on varanda at the end of the day are heaven! The ocean is a few steps away from the house and Praia do Forte offered us the variety of activities we were hoping to get. WE LOVE BAHIA! WE HAD THE BEST TIME. |

We just came back from a wonderful stay at this villa. We had planned to stay at a Pousada, but the villa was so much nicer. It is directly at the beach, although the best swimming and snorkelling is a few hundred meters to the left. The villa has a great veranda with hammocks. The best part was the maid who cooked lunch everyday and took great care of us despite our lack of ability to make ourselves understood in Portuguese. Also, the village is great with many restaurants and everything you need, but still very Brazilian.
You do need to prepare for some mosquitos and the occossional cockroach, but as the owner says, this is just proof that nature is still winning in Brazil. |

| Great house, great beach. Highly recommended! we checked out the hotel but thought the house better with more privacy and personal service and room to spread out. Dinner good at hotel restaurant though. Argentine restaurant in town serves homemade pasta--ccan't remember name. Loved Tango Cafe Bar for afternoon beer and deserts. Souvenir shops in abundance, mostly junk we thought. My kids went nuts over the turtle center. Wife and I hung in hammocks reading while the kids played on the beach. They say October/November are dry months and not too hot. BRAZIL IS GREAT! |

| My husband and I and our two teenage boys stayed here for a week in July and we thought it was awesome. I wish we had stayed 10 days as it was a long journey but WORTH IT! This house is so charming, spacious, and I loved the ocean colors in the decor. The maid had fresh flowers everywhere, kept the house clean, made us brazilian drinks (caypreenias?) and made breakfast every morning on the patio waiting for us. She was so nice. The beach is right there, so we could come and go to/from the beach during the day. We brought our own snorkel gear. Lorie was so much help in planning; and she called us several times during the week to see if we needed anything. We hope we can come back every year! |

| Wow! This place is paradise! The house is gorgeous and made for a comfortable vacation. The maid/cook laid out a beautiful breakfast for us on the veranda every morning (very luxurious!). The only negative was the mosquitos got us--next time we'll bring Off as it was expensive in the town. Being right on the beach is great; we enjoyed the sea breeze and being able to step right onto the beach. The little town is really close by and we enjoyed the shops and restaurants and simplicity. We're going back every year! |

This is by far one of the most relaxing beach vacations I've ever taken. I liked it so much I bought the house! Praia do Forte is a real gem, so clean, and friendly, and unspoiled by development. It's much like the Mexican coast was back in the seventies and early 80's. The house is lovely, comfortable, has a fabulous veranda where you will want to live, and the maid, Maria, takes great care of you!
