The Hall's Northern Retreat is where we spent our honeymoon in October. What a romantic and adventurous place!! Our bedroom loft looked out on Saddleback Mountain, and that is the first thing we saw every morning. Our days were spent exploring the Rangely area. Our most adventurous trip was to Angel Falls. The hike (intended for moderately adventurous people) wound up and across a small river. It ended in a rock-wall cove that contained the fall. Truly a hidden treasure! We saw lots of wild life including a black mink and countless moose. If you are a quilter like me, Rangely has a magnificent quilting retreat and center. We also found some quirky antique stores where I added to my antique photo collection. We dined like royalty at the Ginger Bread restaurant (of course I ordered ginger bread for desert...yum!). Next time we visit we would like to go during the warmer months to enjoy all of the Rangely Lake beaches. After all of the day adventures, we returned to our comfortable home and enjoyed ping-pong, an extensive movie library, comfortable beds, and, of course, those mountain views!

We were 8 adults and 2 small children and this lovely Chalet met all of our needs. The house was so charming and had plenty of room to spread out or stay comfortably together. For only one acre+/-, you are perfectly secluded, yet close to everything that Rangeley has to offer. The view is beautiful as well. Only comment is that if you are planning to cook for a large number, you may need to bring additional pots/pans, but I'm sure if you asked, the owners would accommodate - there were wonderfully easy and professional to work with.
We highly recommend it for a memorable get away week or weekend.

The house is absolutely beautiful! It is a short distance from downtown Rangeley and is perfectly nestled in the woods. We woke up to visions of Saddleback Mountain every morning. We had such a great vacation and part of what made it so great were the amenities! We definitely want to stay in your house again for our next vacation!

The Halls Northern retreat was wonderful!! We had my daughters 13th birhtday party there with 5 of her friends, my family of 4, and my mother. Not only lots of room for all but plenty of fun in the chalet as well as Rangeley. The Halls with their graciousness make it a home away from home. The chalet was such a hit that all of the birhtday guests went home and begged their Moms and Dads to rent the chalet. A perfect place to visit anytime of the year.

The house was amazing, when we pulled up it was like we were all alone in our own winter wonderland. Then as we entered the house it was even more amazing. After discovering the ping pong table, surround sound, two wood stoves and beautiful furnishings I then took a chance to notice the truly spectacular view of saddleback from nearly everywhere in the house. I would absolutely rent again, if you are lookinf for paradise, this is it!

The Hall's Northern Retreat has it all!! Rangeley is the "hot spot" in the mountains of Western Maine. There are year round activities. One of our personal favorites is Smalls Falls, which is approximately 8 to 10 miles going south on Route 4. It has several small water falls and pools to ease the hot summer temperatures. If the beach is your bag, then go to the public sandy beach in town. They have a play ground, picnic tables and boating. We enjoyed watching the sea planes taking off and landing. If a peaceful restful vacation is what you are after, The Hall's Northern Retreat is calling you.
