The Crest was everything we were looking for - comfortable lodging in a peaceful, beautiful location near the Blue Ridge Parkway hiking and waterfalls. We had a wonderful family weekend away from traffic and city life. The kitchen is so well equipped that we wanted for nothing as we cooked in all weekend. I highly recommend The Crest!

| "The Crest" is a beautiful, quiet, secluded property. The home is spacious, well equipped and very comfortable. The porches are vast and the rocking chairs plenty to enjoy the breathtaking views. The gas fireplace is so easy and comforting on chilly days. We'll be back again unless we have our own place. We highly recommend "The Crest." |

| Cool breezes and gorgeous views-even from the kitchen! Bring a sweater. Very comfortable and homey house. Every need has been anticipated. Few steps, handy grill, great windows and porches. |

Hi Judy,
We had a wonderful time at the Crest. I think my book club will want to
return, possibly annually. We go to the beach in the Fall.
Everyone enjoyed the peace & quiet, the gas logs and the sunrise, sunset
porches. Some of us hiked around the area, some of us bird watched and
some of us just sat on the porch and read or conversed.
I look forward to doing business with you again.

Hi Judy,
We had a great trip!! It was very cold, high on Sunday 20 and the low 9 degrees, but we managed to stay warm. The gas ran out, but the company responded quickly so that was not a problem. I keep saying every year that we must go in the summer to enjoy the wonderful porch. Hope we can do that this year.

I hope your visit to Costa Rica was as wonderful as our time at "The Crest". It was so good to be together with brothers and sisters for a long weekend.
It snowed but not enough for a good picture of "The Crest". We burned the logs all weekend. We went to Blowing Rock on Friday and ate at "Outback" but my favorite place in Boone is "Peppers". We ate there on Thursday before checking in. By the way, I love the way you have the keys for easy access for those leasing.
The kitchen was so clean and well equipped. That is a definite plus for me because we enjoy cooking and having meals in rather than out.
I am sure the rhododendron will be beautiful this spring if the amount of buds has anything to do with it. They are full of blooms. We were all commenting about that one and visualizing spring the night it was so windy and cold, but we stayed warm and snug in the cabin.
Hopefully we left everything in good order. Thanks for everything and we all agreed we would like a repeat at a later date.
Have a wonderful visit at "The Crest" in February.

The house is beautiful and so is the setting. It is just remote enough, nice and
high up on the crest and very centrally located. It is also very warm and
inviting and we really enjoyed the house. It also contained great resources
and information for things to do in the area, which was very helpful even
though it was our fourth summer in the area.Just my thoughts.
I hope that we can rent the house next summer because it was great. And
your neighbors are great also. Thanks to Danny, the Golden Retriever, we met
several of them.

| If you are looking for a peaceful place to stay the Crest is it. The only thing you can hear are the birds chirping. The home is nice and clean and has everything you need. We brought our dog and he had a great time too. If you are not familiar with the area this home is a little tricky to find so be patient. Try to arrive before dark. The large decks are wonderful. There are lots of things to do in the area but if you just wanted to relax at the house that would be excellent also. The owners couldn't be nicer or more accomodating. We had a great time and would stay again. |

| We recently enjoyed a long weekend at "The Crest" and had a wonderful time. The cabin is very well stocked and fully sufficient. Perfect for a small family or large group. Very private with beautiful views. Very roomy but still cozy in the snow. While we were there we enjoyed the nearby river, the snow, and skiing. Close to Boone but far enough away to enjoy the tranquill NC mountains. Can't wait to go back! |

We took my son for his 3rd b-day. It was great! The house is lovely and VERY spacious. It was nice to have games for all ages to play along with all the DVD's and VHS tapes. I love the 2 big porches, along with the ample patio furniture (we didn't get to use it b/c of the cold). I couldn't believe we were on TOP of the mountain. I would love to visit when all of the Rhododendrons around the house are in bloom. We saw deer as it started to snow, it was amazing. This is just a fantastic house to rent, with plenty of parking and room for those big family get togethers.

Ms. Adams, I just wanted to let you know that we had a most wonderful Christmas in N.C. Your house is so delightful. We did see deer and had a tiny bit of snow one evening. Most of all though, we thoroughly enjoyed
just being family to one another! It was great to pull away from the busy routines of every day life and just be mom and wife to my boys. Thanks ever so much for allowing us to rent the house. I hope we can do it
again in the future. The last night we were there the gas in the fireplace went out. I'm sure you will want to get more before more guests arrive.

| Our Thanksgiving weekend at "The Crest" was so much fun! The beautiful weather and scenery were perfect for some great hiking together; and the close proximity to Boone and Blowing Rock gave us the opportunity to do a little shopping and get in the Christmas spirit! After getting our Christmas tree at a nearby tree farm, we headed home with lots of fun memories of our time together at "The Crest". We hope to return again sometime soon. |

We went to "The Crest" to get away from the hussle and bussle of fast city life of Charlotte and did we ever get what we needed. There was my husband, myself, our 12 year old and her friend and 16 year old. My parents even drove from the Coast of NC because we called and told them how beautiful it was. We also took our 11 year old collie and 4 month old labrador (thanks Judy for letting our 4 legged family join us!!) We were there over Labor Day, Sept 1-4, 2006.The house was beautiful (just as described and shown on the website!!), the wildlife spectacular (we saw does with fawns, racoons, chipmunks and wild turkey). The dogs and kids and I hiked all over the mountain side (no, not on trails as we made our own...absolutely beautiful scenary).We honestly did not want to leave!! We went to the Mast General Store (and Annex that has 500 barrels of candy! Big hit with the kids), went to the gem mines, went to the creek at the end of the road by the Baptist Church "panning for gold" and my husband fell in the creek but we were having so much fun we didn't care! Went horseback riding at Banner Elk Stables and so much more. The cabin is so well prepared we ate all of our meals there. Thanks Judy for a wonderful time, hope to see "the Crest" at Thanksgiving. Beautiful, peaceful and a place you want to stay forever!

The Crest felt like home. It is spacious and comfortable, with so many windows that the outdoors merges with the rooms. The feel of the house and the surrounding land with tall trees, porches with rockers and hummingbirds brings about a deep sense of peace. Our airdale loved to be free to climb the hill by the drive and poke her nose in any hole she found. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything we need, and the washer and dryer a blessing.

We enjoyed our stay so much at The Crest. Great layout for a large group and plenty of room. Also we felt secluded but could run into town for a meal out. Many places we have stayed in the mountains were diffcult to get into and out again. My husband and I loved being able to bring our dogs, they are very much a part of our family. We hope to stay again next year and may even try to go up this summer to enjoy the beautiful deck. Thanks so such for a wonderful stay!

| The Weekend at “The Crest” was a relaxing and welcomed break for our family. Once you climb the winding road and arrive at this secluded location it seems like you've found your own little piece of the "Blue ridge". We enjoyed family time, hiking and exploring Boones High Country. We had some luck fly fishing on the Watauga River and the boys had a memorable experience on their 1st time fly fishing. We also visited the Mast General store, Linville caverns and the local venders. I would like to thank Judith for taking great care of "The Crest". Everything we needed was there and the place was spotless. Just as advertised! I'm hoping the opportunity comes along and we are able to rent "The Crest" in the winter to take in all the Blue Ridge beauty covered in snow!!! Thanks Judith!!!! |
