| We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Seaside Cottage. It was only a short walk to the beach and was also convenient for all the other amenities in town. We really appreciated Shirley's tour of the area and it certainly helped us to make best use of our all too brief time in the area. We also enjoyed our visit to Fern Canyon on our way to our next destination - thank you Shirley for recommending it! The zucchini bread was also well-received. A great treat which lasted us for nearly a week! |

| What a lovely, cozy cottage! It fit the 4 of us comfortably, was spotlessly clean, the location was wonderful, and the hostess was charming and personable. When we come back the Redwoods (hopefully in 2 years or so) we will definitely return to Seaside Cottage. Thank you so much, Shirley, we had a wonderful vacation. |

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Seaside Cottage. It was perfect for our little family. It is cute, cozy, and very clean. We enjoyed this so much better than we would have a hotel.
Shirley's short tour of the area was a huge help & we were able to see things we probably would have missed other wise.
A very possitive experiance.

| I stayed here the first week of July 2006. Had anexcellent time. Shirley has a great cottage and is an excellent host. I highly recommend the tour she gives and take in as much of the tips that she gives. This is much better than staying in a hotel. It is like staying in your own little home while on vacation. I will be back. |

We really enjoyed our stay at the Seaside Cottage! We found Cresent City to be the perfect location for exploring the Redwood National Forest to the south and the Oregon coast to the north. If you love the cool climate, hiking and miles of beaches to explore you will have a good time. Don't miss Fern Canyon, the evening Klamath Jet Boat Tour or the local beaches just as you come into town.
The Seaside Cottage had everything we needed - a full kitchen, pleanty of super soft towels in the bathroom, quiet places to sit and read and a very cozy bed. There wasn't anything we wish we had that wasn't already there. Shirely has added some very nice homey touches and her tour and knowledge of the area were great. If you are looking for a relaxing vaction with lots of opportunties to explore the outdoors we would recommend the seaside cottage in Cresent City without hesitation! |

This is one of the nicest vacation rentals we have ever stayed at - lovely home at a very fair price. Nice homey touches from Shirley - a highly recommended rental. Trees of Mystery are loads of fun and very beautiful. We even got a private tour of the lighthouse from the keepers - very nice! Chart Room restaurant just down past the harbor is fabulous for fish 'n chips!

We can't say enough nice things about our recent
stay at Shirley's Cottage by the Pacific Ocean. We
consider ourselves very well traveled within the US
and consider this one of the best vacation rentals
we have ever stayed at. For the cost you don't
expect to get a personable experience in a totally
remodeled cottage in such a wonderful setting, but
you do. When we arrived the table was set for our
first meal, there was a fresh loaf of apple walnut
zucchini bread on the kitchen counter and fresh OJ
in the fridge. Once we settled in, Shirley took us on
car ride around to Crescent City and up into
Jedidiah Smith Redwood Park so that we would
know which beaches, vista points, hiking trails,
restaurants, and other key attractions that would
help us get the most out of our stay. This proved
to be key to us getting around with confidence and
seeing things we might not have otherwise seen.
We planned to spend all of our time in the
Redwoods, however Crescent City is so beautiful we
spent most of our time out of the woods. One
more thing I need to point out is that this cottage
has High Speed Internet which was a huge bonus
ontop of an already unbelievable experience. We
look forward to coming back as soon as we can! |

What a wonderful time we have had the last 3 days! We have stayed in cottages and B&BVs all over the US and yours stands out as one of the best! Your beautifully decorated cottage inside and out, personal touches such as fully stocked DVDs, High Speed Internet,homemade delicous bread, local interst books, games, and especially the tour of Crescent City made it stand out as extraordinary.
We thought we would spend all of our time in the Redwoods. However after your tour showing us how beautiful Crescent City is we found ourselves spending more time out of the woods than in it. The trees are amazing and so is this part of California! There was certainly not enough time in 3 days to see it all, so we will be back as soon as we can.

PS We enjoyed getting up at 5 AM to witness the spectacular migration of the Aleutian Geeese and recommend to the next guest to take advantage of the same thing at Pt. St. George. Also the sunrise was equally amazing.

We were delighted with the accomodation and found it very easy to relax here. Despite visiting in the depths of winter we enjoyed a full month of glorious sunshine - bright, clean and chilly most days.
We Went on manyh long bike rides out along Pebble Beach Dr. to St. George's Point or south to the Harbor and Endert's Beach Lookout. Some of our favorite walks were in the Jedediah Smith Nat. Pk., Smith River, Fern Canyon (south 30 m. on 101) and Stout Grove, out to the falls which was a trail of approx 3 hours (donl't go late pm!) through dark spookey woods!
The 101 Laundromat in town was very good and we had some good food at Tsunami Lanes Sports Bar (Bowling alley), the Surf Bar and Grill, Wed. night was Prime Rib night at the Elk Valley Casino(we didn't enjoy the casino but the steak was the best we have had in ages!)
Shirley has made this cottage a real home away from home. It exceeded all our expectations. We love it and hope to visit again and we will be recommending it to our friends.
