We stayed at the cabin in Peaceful Valley over Christmas 2008 and had a blast! The cabin is in a great location, just off the Peak to Peak highway, so it was easy to find and access even in the snow. The cabin itself is quite large and very well equipped. We cooked a gourmet Xmas dinner and had no problem finding the right cookware. Our dog enjoyed laying by the fireplace and we spent a lot of time playing board games. We really enjoyed the "homey" feel of the cabin. Tom and Katy have done a great job of adding a personal touch that makes it much more comfortable than a stark hotel room. I felt like I was a little kid staying at my Uncle's cabin Up North. Being winter, there weren't as many outdoor activities available as in summer. We rented snowshoes from REI before coming up to the cabin and had fun exploring the surrounding area. There are a bunch of hiking/snowshoeing trails across hwy 72. There is also a road you can hike up just past the cabin that leads to a church on the mountainside. This is a great little cabin in an awesome location that is perfect for a small family or for a few friends to hang out in the mountains. Highly reccomended! |

Dennis, I, Spunky and Jenny had a great time in your little cozy cabin. We even used the firepit but alast the evening we were going to cook our marshmallows over it, it decided to rain. So we left our marshmallows for other guest and also the improvised marshmallow holders. It was so, so relaxing and we really needed the peace and quite. Jenny our little Yorkie did more wandering than we wanted her to but she had fun. Spunky our other little older dog spent alot of his time on the back door step getting in the sun raise. We hope that in our busy schedules that we will be able to return.
Cheers Dennis & Yvonne also Spunky & Jenny |

| What a great get away! We enjoyed the close proximity to snowshoeing and getting to have a real fire. The Beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. |

| Great little cabin in a secluded quiet location with a creek within 300ft. that is relaxing. The cabin has a great screened in porch so you can sit outside without being bothered by mosquitos. Nice location within 30 minutes of Rocky Mountain Natl. Park, Estes Park, and Boulder. The cabin has an outside sitting area with a fire pit that we enjoyed each evening. The cabin was very clean and had every utensil you will possibly need. |

| Tom and Katy's cabin is a little slice of heaven. This cabin had everything you could ask for and more- it really felt like home to all of us. The wonderful sights, smells and sounds take you away from the rest of the world. We spent hours reading, sipping coffee and watching hummingbirds in the fantastic screened-in porch. We surprised our kids who have never stayed in a cabin before. By the end of the first day, they all said they want to come here EVERY year and called it "our cabin". We have to agree and look forward to next year. Tom and Katy- we can't thank you enough. |

The following are comments left in our guest book at the cabin:
September 4, 2005 "What a wonderful retreat for us! Driving up here for the weekend from Tulsa, OK, and staying in this bit of paradise was just what we needed. This is a wonderful place, and we will be back to visit here again and again......thanks for sharing your space in heaven."
August 28, 2005 "Our three year old son led his first hike today, taking us up the St. Vrain and face-to-face with some moose. a mama and her calf crossed the trail just fifteen yards ahead of us; my closest siting ever of moose. This marks our second weekend here, and we'll be sure to be back."
August 19, 2005 "What a little treasure this place is. I'm glad it found us! We've come up from Boulder on a little honeymoon getaway with our sweet 3-month old son. The screened-in porch was such a treat, no worries about bugs. I loved the kitchen...made all sorts of wonderful delights. We hope to return and experience the valley in a different season."
July 22, 2005 "Many many thanks for allowing us to be a part of your Colorado paradise. The charm and warmth of your cabin has slowed the pace down for our family, a much needed pace. We horseback rode, hiked, fished, and were escorted to some of the most breathtaking views I've ever laid my eyes on. Although the heartrate got pretty fast for us out-of-shape ones, the climb to "three bears" will be a lasting memory for us all. Thank you for all. Hope to see you next year."
October 17, 2005 "No security deposit, no credit card...just like the old days. I went to get some milk at the little convenience store in Raymond...and it was like a trip to the past. So funny that things like that could still amaze me. We loved the cabin stay."
