The condo was the absolute nicest condo I have stayed in and I have been travelling to Florida for many years. Isabel left nothing to the imagination.Her wonderful decorative taste not to mention how well equipped this condo is absolutely fantastic. Your welcome basket was such a nice touch not to mention the unlimited access with the internet and of course the calls to Canada. Thanks for everything and the best to you both in 2010. |

| What a blissful place you have!! We were thoroughly impressed with the accomodations, in every possible way! We were so relieved to find that the mattresses on all the beds were extremely comfortable, not an afterthought as in many vacation sites. Our favorite parts were watching all the birds and dolphins, enjoying the pool that was NEVER over crowded, and that WONDERFUL!! wagon full of chairs, umbrella, cooler, sand castle toys that you have thoughtfully provided for the short tote to the beach!! Rather than staring at a boring parking lot off the deck or your neighbors window, you have that entertaining waterway with the boating and dolphins; we saw them daily! The kids loved the putt putt and Clearwater rescue aquarium, only 15 mins drive north, and are huge "Winter" dolphin fans now! We also had a great time at Johns Pass village and Boardwalk, 15 mins south, with the restaurants, boat rentals, and ice cream shoppes. Of course, nothing! on the Atlantic coast can begin to compare with the beauty of the water at Clearwater/Indian Shores beaches! We enjoyed the quiet family environment, having an array of restaurants to choose from close by, but within a very short drive to parks and activities! We can't thank you enough for sharing your beautiful place, and plan to make your condo our vacation spot as long as it is available. The Church family |

This is our second stay at your condo. From the moment you walk in you feel right at home. You have everything that somebody would want and need. We love the view of the intercoastal and seeing dolphins swim past. We also love the beach wagon and beach accessories. It really comes in handy to pack everything in the wagon and walk to the beach. Our first stay there we got engaged and this stay we were celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary! Thank you so much for making us feel right at home. The pictures don't do it justice!

The Gulf Retreat condo was perfect for our vacation along the Gulf Coast. The gift basket and two waters in the refrigerator made us feel very welcome when we arrived. We enjoyed our stay at your spacious condo. It has high ceilings that we liked. The kitchen had everything we needed. The view is amazing. Our daughter especially liked playing with all the toys and watching kid videos that we found in the entertainment center as a nice bonus. Thank you for the gift basket. I was VERY hesitant about booking a rental on-line but after speaking with you and checking out your website - you made it so much easier.When we arrived - the hesitation dissapeared! We had a beautiful stay! I wish you could have seen our faces when we opened the door to your condo on the first day!!!! You both have truly thought of everything to make your guests feel very welcome and you have gone above and beyond to equip the condo with just about everything you would need ! Dear Isabel and Darryl - Our week's stay in your Gulf Retreat condo was our third stay in a rental vacation condo during our this year's trip to USA, after Encinitas/San Diego and Palm Desert. Although we were in very nice places there, we were absolutely overwhelmed after entering Mariner's Pointe, Unit 603!
From the pictures and the description we had seen on the internet, we expected a lot .... - and what we found was far beyond our expectations. Starting at first glance right away with the marvelous welcome basket, the cleanliness in every corner and respect, the warm and heartfelt decorations, the generosity of the room layout and the availability of storing space. And then, step by step, all the details from the wonderful, fully (and we really mean fully!) equipped kitchen; the high quality of the bedding and the furniture; the free availability of telephone and computer with internet access; from the first aid boxes through to the grills and the "beach stuff" in the spacious garage. Every thinkable item available to really feel 'at home'. Not to speak about the balcony where we took our breakfasts and also some evening meals, with the beautiful view on the waterway and all the wildlife, on the ground and in the air.
We also very much enjoyed that the beach was easily to be reached with a few steps over the street, with clean sand and water and not crowded at all. And, last but not least, very good restaurants up and down the Golf Boulevard.
Thank you very much Isabel and Darryl, that we could rent this condo from you. It allowed us to spend a marvelous vacation, with the only 'blot' that our itinerary did not allow us to stay any longer ......
We can sincerely recommend your Gulf Retreat condo, which we would consider also as very suitable for a family with children and should we have the chance to spend a vacation in Florida again we will certainly try to find a vacancy in your condo (although it is a long way to get there from Switzerland, where we live).

If you are like me you wonder if the place you have rented for your vacation will be everything it claims to be.
Well, there is no need to worry about "Gulf Retreat". It is wonderful!
They have thought of everything for your comfort - from the spacious condo, beautiful furnishing, beach stuff, Apple computer, right down to the binoculars for seeing the wildlife from the patio.

Most beautiful and comfortable place you will ever stay at. Darryl goes out of his way to make you feel at home and that you have everything that you need. The gift basket was a big hit with my boys.
Our stay at The Gulf Retreat was so beautiful and relaxing. It is very convenient and close to everything. We went to visit some beautiful beaches, and dine on some great seafood.
The water is in walking distance from the condo a matter of feet!
We had the best trip, and there is no doubt in my mind that we will be back.
The best place to stay! Pictures are all what the place looks like and more. You will be very pleased!

What a wonderful surprise when we opened the door to your condo. Every room was decorated beautifully. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware, utensils and dishes. Every thing was clean and neat and a real pleasure to live in for two weeks. I'd say it was fit for a king. The beds were comfortable, and we could not stop enjoying the scenic view from our master bedroom, kitchen and living room windows. In the evening, especially, the lights shone on the water surrounding the condo. Such ambiance! We have paid a lot more for a lot less right in this area. The beach, right across the street is easy to get to. Thank you, Darryl, for the great time we had.

What a beautiful condo you guys have! My family and I have been coming to the Indian Rocks Beach area for vacation for several years and have stayed at many different condos and yours is by far the nicest one. It is very nicely decorated and quite large. The extras provided are wonderful, from the garage to the pool and beach supplies down to the home computer, it was all great. My initital concern was it was accross the street from the beach, however that was not an issue. It was a very short walk and the beach and the wagon you provided made for an easy trip. We were with you ten days and the entire family had a great time. My daughter was thrilled to be able to see her Yankees play at Tropicana field and we all enjoyed Busch Gardens as well as just relaxing around the pool or beach. I hope to be able to stay with you in the future.

This was the first time we had rented a condo, and was not sure what we were letting ourselves in for. The pictures looked good on the website so we went for it.Boy, were we pleased that we did.
The condo is home from home, airy, spacious and great natural light.
One of the best features for us was the washer /dryer if you have a family this is a great feature.The kitchen has all the appliancies you need and more.If you don't want to go to the beach you have the pool and a nice little fishing pier.
The condo is in a great location come out and turn to your left you can drive along to St Pete's Beach and to your right Clearwater.Next to the condo is small Food Mart handy if you need something quick.Also you have varies malls which are easy to reach and most of them have a cinema attached.
Daryl is a great host the paper work was easy and effortless.
We enjoyed our stay and have book for next May.

After spending a week in Disney at the Wilderness Lodge, my husband and I were worried that our daughters (ages 8 and 11) wouldn't enjoy the second week of our vacation. We booked your unit mainly for my husband and I to recover from a week at Disney. Well, as soon as we walked through the door of your condo, we all fell in love with it. We can't say enough about the view. It is spectacular!! We spent hours sitting on the patio or by the huge windows watching the dolphins, spoonbills, heron and other wildlife. Several nights we saw fireworks. We loved spending time at the beautiful beach and the pool. We greatly appreciated the beach cart and all the beach toys! My husband and the girls rented a jet ski (from Frenchie's -- which is a well run operation--they give a discount before 11 a.m.)and had five dolphins swim right alongside of them -- which is an experience they will never forget!! We also took a day trip to the beach at Fort Desoto. It is a beautiful beach and well worth the trip. I will definitely recommend your unit and the Indian Rocks/Indian Shores area to our friends. The community is quiet, clean, and family oriented. Your unit is very comfortable, tastefully decorated, well taken care of, and had everything we needed (having the computer was a real plus as well). We all had a very relaxing and enjoyable week and look forward to returning.

| We had a wonderful week in Darryl and Isabel's condo! The pictures cannot possibly show how beautiful this condo really is. It gives you a very comfortable and "home" feeling the second that you walk in. It is very convenient to the beach and the beach is never crowded. The Intra-costal waterway gave us a great view of boaters as well as many fish, birds, dolphins and manatees! On top of all of this, we got engaged at this wonderful place! We had a great stay in Darryl & Isabel's condo. It's even better than the pictures on the website suggest. A great location on the intra-coastal waterway. Always something going on and we were lucky enough to see dolphins on 2 occasions.
We were the first to test drive the beach kart and used it most days - why go to any other beach when it's so easy to load it up and cross the road.
We also appreciated the PC with broadband. |

After 10 weeks we are so sad to leave this beautiful
home away from home. As we entered we were
pleased to see that the condo is exactly as the
pictures portray it.
We enjoyed morning coffee on the dock watching
the birds and dolphins. Long walks on the beach.
Pilates and Yoga classes through the Southcoast
YMCA and catching the sunset over the gulf.
The private garage is a real plus. Our balcony was
very quiet and private.
We discovered a great new Italian restaurant called
"Al and Stellas" on Gulf Blvd in Indian Rocks. Stella
is actually in the kitchen. Salt Rock Cafe is great as
is Boulevard Bistro and E&E Stakeout.
If you eat in the kitchen is very well equipped.
We had a wonderful time. Darryl was most helpful.

| We Have now stayed twice in this beautiful condo,and we just can't say how we enjoy our vacations at Darryl and Isabel's Retreat. The welcome basket is greatly appreciated after a long trip from PA. The view is just great with the birds and dophins in the channel, let's you know your in FLA. The condo comfort and location is what keeps us coming back. The beach just across the road and the resturants just a short drive. Darryl's favorite Salt Rock Grill and Our's Fishbone's were both great for seafood. We come for just R & R with peace and quite with all the convenience of home, this is the place to be. It's always good to know Darryl just a call and a short distance away if needed, thanks Darryl. I doubt if we'll ever spend another week of Fla. vacation in a hotel knowing there's a beautiful condo with terrific hospitality like the Glenns have shown us during our stay. Thanks very much. August 7th-14th. If you are looking for a condo that has all the charm of home plus so much more this is where you want to be.Our whole family--Mom, Dad, 2 boys ages 8 and 14--had a wonderful time. No detail is forgotten from impeccable cleanliness, lovely furnishing, beautiful views of the intercoastal waterway, and a thoughtful gift basket waiting on your arrival.
The private fishing pier provided many happy hours of fishing, dolphin encounters, and bird watching.
We also encountered dolphins while waverunning. They swim all around you and love to play with you.
We highly reccommend for Italian food CJ'S and for steak and seafood and all around good food try The Salty Rock Grill.
This was our first time to this area of Florida and was truly delighted. There is much to do or do nothing at all and just relax.
A trip to Johns Pass will provide a great day of shopping and all the water sports you could want.
The beaches are not crowded and the condo provides chairs, umbrella, and small children toys.
You will not be sorry if you pick this condo. Darryl,the owner of this fabulous retreat, is so very nice to work with. He will do all he can to make your stay a vacation to remember.

As our son said – this condo is more like a home than a vacation place. As

The boy’s both loved their room and want a mattress like the one on the

| This is a beautiful condo where we really felt right at home. The view of the intercoastal is awesome and everything you need for a great stay is right at your fingertips; cookware, beach stuff including chairs and towels, charcoal grill, washer/dryer, and very modern kitchen appliances. What a nice touch with the welcome basket chocked full of goodies such as pasta, wine, and a disposable camera. By the way, the master bedroom with two walk-in closets is huge and the second bedroom is perfect for two children. As a single father, I gave my 14 year old daughter the master and she was in heaven with the king-size bed and magnificent view of the water. For me, I was always up early to enjoy the view from the living room. And don't forget the huge garage where I kept my 21-foot ski boat. Although a little tight on turn space, I managed to get it in without much of a problem. Quite honestly, I was hesitant to enter a guest comment because I want to make sure there is availablilty when I'm ready to come back. This is a great condo deal. Please save some time for me because I plan to come back this summer. |

Thank you so much for the use of your beautiful condo. So roomy and all the
comforts of home. The weather was great and pool in the afternoon help wind
down the day. Salt Rock Grill was as you said “will worth it”. Thanks for the
recommendations. This location couldn’t be better with all the eateries and the
views, breathtaking. Hope your summer is much less eventful than last. Be
looking for a return visit in 2006.
