I've had a great stay in this lovely apartment. I will miss the pain au chocolat and the apricot tarts from the two great bakeries around the corner. The marche biologique on boulevard des Batignolles Saturday morning was terrific. I wish I could buy duck breast filets like that at home. I spent my days soaking up culture all around Paris.It was great to come back to the apartment, watch the Gilmore Girls in French, listen to the neighbor practicing piano and put my feet up.

These last two weeks have been wonderful and I am sad to leave. Usually, we stay in the 7th or 15th, but we stumbled on this arrondissement last year and thought it was almost like the 7th, but without all the touristy stuff. We love it here. It's almost impossible to walk one block without running into a boulangerie.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful, comfortable apartment. We thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks in Paris. We had fun exploring the neighborhood, with highlights being Augustine Boulangerie, the Saturday organic market, Primeurs 17 and Famille Mary. The kids enjoyed Lire et Ecrire, and my husband and I enjoyed several nice wines from the patient folk at Le Vin En Tete. We put kilometers on our shoes during the days and it was lovely to know that at the end of the day we could come "home", cook a great meal and enjoy a glass of wine. Thank you!

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this comfortable apartment in such a charming neighborhood. The kitchen is well-equipped and we've enjoyed preparing dinner "chez nous" every night. Before dinner, we take time to walk over to the lovely little park with the waterfall and pond, full of geese and ducks, and regally presided over by a splendid pair of black swans. We enjoy watching the children's delight in the scene.

As others have stated before us, the combination of having the sights and sounds of Paris practically at our doorstep, while having the ability to setp off the grands boulevards into the beautifully appointed and comfortable apartment--unbeatable!
The apartment is delightful. We had many a morning coffee on the balcony, cooked a number of delicious meals from goods found at the marché, and were plesantly surprised how the neighborhood quieted down at night. You most definitely have a gem, and we hope to return.

This was our third trip to Paris and quite possibly our best one yet.
The apartment was lovely and very well located. It's a quick walk to Place de Clichy or Villiers Metro with access to subway lines 2, 3 and 13.
Several times we walked down to Elise Madeleine to visit Hediard, Fauchon, and La Maison du Chocolat. It's also an easy walks through Montmarte to visit Sacre Coeur.
The neighbourhood itself offers every amenity: an organic farmers market each Saturday, outstanding bakeries, fromageries, wine stores, cafes, restaurants and other shops.
Our 2 year old daughter loved the neighbourhood, especially Square des Batignolles with its swings, slides and carousel.
We would love to have stayed longer and hope to return soon... |

We did indeed have a terrific time in Paris--in no small measure because we enjoyed your flat so much. We had never been in the Batignolles area and found it completely delightful--as were the restaurants we tried. Our Paris friends, who were curious to see the apartment that we raved about all through lunch, were very much impressed with the way in which it was furnished--as were we. It was comfortable, convenient, warm, and altogether beyond our expectations. We cannot say enough about how great our stay was! The place is very well-situated, enormous compared to hotel rooms in Paris, comfortable, handsomely appointed, reasonable in price, easy to navigate, and very easy to use. Both the beds are comfortable and your instruction manual is a confused American's dream! We hadn't spent time in Batignolles before this visit, and really enjoyed exploring the neighborhood. We were really pleased with the internet hookup which allowed us to be in contact with family and friends in the U.S. without big phone bills.
You can count on us to be in touch every time we travel to Paris--perhaps now it'll be a bit more often, since we've found such a satisfactory place. You will certainly get references from us when our friends go to Paris.

We had a wonderful time in Paris and wish we could have stayed longer. The apartment was very comfortable, even with four people, and we loved the neighborhood, which was entirely charming. We felt very safe, even when returning home late at night. Lauren was most helpful in explaining numerous points about the apartment, the neighborhood and the city. In fact, she was encyclopedic.
Your restaurant list was very helpful, and we dined at three of the restaurants you recommeneded. One night we had a very lively time in the little bar on the corner where we stopped for a nightcap. We were welcomed with open arms and ended up dancing with the other patrons. Across from the bar was a boulangerie, which was very convenient. The pain viennois was a real winner, but all the breads we tried were delicious. We would like to have had lunch or dinner at the little Russian restaurant down the street, but never got the chance.
In the apartment, we had plenty of closet space, the drapes kept the light out on sunny mornings, the beds were very comfortable, and we had an abundance of towels. It was handy to have a dining table for breakfast and we had more than enough dishes and kitchen utensils.
Would we go back? Yes, yes, yes and we would like to stay longer. What are the rates for a month?

| The apartment is absolutely charming and is in a wonderful neighbourhood. It is an easy 10 minute bus or metro ride to the tourist district and easy walking distance to the Monmantre district. If you are there on a Saturday to not miss the wonderous steet market about 3 blocks from your door. I would hearltly reccommend staying there . The owners are very nice as are those who meet you there in Paris. Two thumbs up. Way up. |
