What a perfect place!! Just the right size and great location -- and of course the price was right. We are moving back to Black Mountain after being gone for 15 months to New York. I will recommend this place for any family/friends that visit. Thank you.

Bob & Suzanne -- What a wonderful month we have spent up here. Your apt. is everything we wanted and more. The opportunity to see the color changes has been awesome -- staying for a month we saw all the colors! Old Fort is in a perfect location between Asheville and Marion -- both are crossroads to wonderful sights. We loved the trains! Charles and Joel next door clued us in on shortcuts and fishing spots. Very helpful and nice "neighbors". On the coldest nights (30 degrees) we were toasty warm. The bed is great and endless hot water! The washer/dryer made such a difference, as did the internet hookup. Thanks to you for all the help before and during our visit. We will be in touch about returning -- hopefully in the Spring.

What a wonderful place to spend a long weekend! We came here to attend the wedding of two dear friends. The weather and fall trees of red and orange were lovely; unexpectedly so, in fact. Thank you for accomodating us and the wonders that are Old Fort!

Mr. and Mrs. Nelson, Thank you for sharing this apt. with otheres. I had a wonderful week of relaxing, reading, working and enjoying time with my Creator in the mountains. This was the perfect place to stay while my daughter was at camp.

Bob & Suzanne -- We had a wonderful time staying at your apt. It is a perfect getaway. Jim and I went to Biltmore which of course is fabulous, the Smoky Mt. train ride, we climbed Chimney Rock, shopped in Black Mt., drove the Blue Ridge Parkway, we shopped everywhere we could shop in Asheville! Thanks so much for a wonderful stay.

Thank you for a wonderful stay in the quaint town of Old Fort. Enjoyed a day at Black Mountain, horseback riding at Cross Creek Stables in Lake Lure, and a surprising time at the Biltmore Estate (walk the grounds and sample wines). Spent the day at the Blue Ridge BBQ and Music Show (check out Blue Mother Tupelo from Nashville). The "Mountain Music" was a treat on Friday night.

It was a wonderful, quiet place to stay. We loved that it was located in a nice, small town yet very close to so many activities. The apartment was very neat, clean, and affordable. We've recommended Bob's apartment to all of our family and friends and we will definitely be back!

The apartment was clean and neat and had all the amenities we could use as we spent the week researching the WNC area with retirement prospects in mind. The food in the Trainwatcher Cafe was home cooked and tasty. We enjoyed strolling through the Biltmore Estate and down the streets of Asheville and Hendersonville.

What a cute, quiet little apartment, we absolutely loved it. Very comfortable and clean, everything we needed was there. Best breakfast in town with great company. Susanne and the ladies were wonderful. We plan on staying again in the fall. Anyone planning to stay in the area should check this little place out, worth your time and what a great price.

We had a wonderful time on our long weekend stay in Bob's Apartment! We searched and searched and finally found a very reasonably priced, clean, and quaint apartment with everything we needed! It's so much more than a hotel room with its unique decor, location, and floor plan (plenty of room and lots of amenities with the kitchen, living room, etc.) The town of Old Fort is quiet and calm (We loved the Mountain Music on Friday night!) but is close enough to Asheville for day trips (sightseeing, eating, etc.) I know this place sounds too good to be true, but it really is as it has been described on the site! Black Mountain was a neat little town to visit not far from Old Fort, and we also saw the Biltmore, traveled to Maggie Valley/Cherokee, and went White Water Rafting. At night when we were tired and ready to come back and relax, Bob's apartment felt like home! It's a definite find! Enjoy! (Bob and Suzanne were more than accommodating, as well! We felt very comfortable and welcome but still had our privacy, which was perfect!) Thanks for a great weekend! Michael and Carrie

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Nelson,

Many thanks for the opportunity to stay in "Bob's Apartment". The location is ideal for exploring the nearby mountains, as well as experiencing the eclectic atmosphere of Asheville. Perhaps, however, one of our most precious memories will be the pickin' and cloggin' at Friday night's "Mountain Music" just around the corner.

All the best,

Kristin & Jim

Dear Bob & Suzanne,

Thank you for a very pleasant stay here in "Bob's Apt." The apt. is very cute, and we enjoyed our almost 3 week stay here.

We would gladly refer our friends and colleagues to stay at both your cabin (if they're brave enough to climb that mountain -- ha-ha) and your apartment.

We wish you best wishes, and great success with your coffee shop.

Sincerely,

Daryl & Edwina

This is a very charming apartment that we found convenient to visit Asheville and the surrounding mountains. The weekly price, along with breakfast items, juice and coffee, is an excellent deal! Very close by is the town of Black Mountain. It has some excellent restaurants, including a German restaurant, Veranda's, and the Red Rocker Inn. We enjoyed staying here. Suzanne, thanks.
