Heaven! We baked brownies, drank coffee on the porch, rolled in the golden leaves, mooed at the cows, and played hours of games. I was so happy to find a nice place to relax and enjoy the view out of every window. Thanks for everything!

We really enjoyed the old country charm of your home. We also appreciated the modern conveniences. Thanks for the well-stocked kitchen. We ate all our meals here and didn't wnat for any pot, dish, or gadget. The front porch swing was a real favorite spot. It feels like being up in a treehouse with the beautiful trees out there.

| My family and I came to NC for a wedding and stayed in this home and it was wonderful. I loved the country feel that it had. The whole house is beautiful. It was so cool to see the cows running around in the background in the morning. If you stay here, be very careful of the electric fence. My uncle proved that it is on and painful. Their were quite a few bugs in the house but it's the country so that was expected. All in all it was a great way for our family to come together to enjoy our cousin's wedding. |

We extermininate regularly for ants, spiders, roaches, and other household pests.
Because we are in a remote location, we do have moths and small flying insects that are attracted to the lights in the house at night. They can come in through open doors or slip through the screens at times. This is normal insect behavior and is not a reflection of poor maintenance or upkeep by the homeowner. Keeping doors shut after dark is recommended.

| I rented this house for my son and daughter in law and my 2 grandchildren and their freinds from Florida...It worked out wonderful..There was so much room..We were able to have a family gathering at Thanksgiving..My son was able to "bag" 2 deer..The family went sight seeing..I got to be Grandma and baby sit and barely had to leave home...Many thanks to you guys...Your Neighbor |

What a wonderful place to relax with our family! My husband and I were joined by our daughter, son-in-law and their two toddlers, our son and daughter-in-law, and our college-aged son. It was a great place for a family vacation - we brought a portable crib and everyone had a bed to sleep in! The upstairs living area was a wonderful gathering place for fun and games and the downstairs living area was a wonderful spot to relax, drink coffee and read. The farmhouse was well equipped with books, games and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed (including a blender for smoothies!) The men golfed, fished, hiked Grandfather mountain, we all went to the Jamboree, the ladies enjoyed the quaint shops and outlet mall in Boone --all had a great time. It was a nice break from the fast pace we are all used to living.

We got stuck in horrible traffic, it rained almost the whole weekend, and it was one of the best vacations we have ever had. Our kids (all 8 of them!) loved the fall colors and the full moon and the foggy night was perfect for ghost stories. The day we left the fog rose off the river behind the barn and the leaves were at their peak as the sun was rising. What a sight! We would love to experience all the different seasons in the magical house.
