Our family of six had a wonderful time here. The house was perfect for our family and we loved seeing the rocky beach and lighthouse from the home. It was a perfect location for going north to Bandon Oregon and south to Eureka. We explored the coastline, played on the beach, hiked the redwoods, and loved it all! One of our favorites was walking down to the beach after dinner to watch the night fall over the ocean. Thank you so much!

We enjoyed the Chart Room- a great suggestion! But most of all, we loved toasting sunsets with fine wine in the observation room. A must return!

My wife & I had a great time here. It was alot nicer than staying in a motel like we usually do. We did a little crabbin' and walked to the beach some. Pretty nice throwing on a couple of steaks on the barbi instead of eating out. We come over every month or so. I'm sure we'll be back.

Very nice home. Nicely furnished with modern furniture and appliances. Comfortable beds, good views of ocean from upstairs bedroom. Fantastic beach access (just across the street)! Good weather except it was very windy every afternoon... got the feeling that this is normal this time of year. 10 min. walk to Battery Point Lighthouse. Quiet town, not a lot of touristy shops. Gorgeous redwoods short drive away.

I have been in awe of the beauty that surrounds Crescent City. We traveled over 3,000 miles by car from South Carolina taking 4 and a half long days to get here. Your home has been the icing on the cake for a childhood dream come true. I immediately felt comfortable when I walked through the door. The views from the observation room are incredible! We even got to see some sea lions (and their babies) from the upstairs windows! Next time we come, please order warmer weather (or at least a little less wind)!

Thank you so much for letting our whole crew enjoy this terrific beach house. It was so nice to come "home" each night to this warm & welcoming house. The great views made it hard to leave each day to go look for birds because we could see so many from the upstairs windows... Harliquin Duck, Surf Scooter, Brown Pelican, Black Turnstone, Red-throated Loon, Black Oystercatcher, Common Murre, Pelagic Cormorant, and of course, Aleutian Canada Goose! Your house also provided enjoyment for the many participants of the fesitval since we were relaxed & well rested. Thanks again!

Thank you for sharing your wonderful beach house with us. We had a very memorable week. The Battery Point Lighthouse tour was delightful and being able to walk there from the house was very nice (at low tide of course!). Your house is so centrally located for many day trips so it made things very convenient for us: Trees of Mystery (amazing gondola ride!), Jedediah Smith State Park, Del Norte Historical Museum (fantastic artifacts!), Ocean World, Marine Mammal Center (sponsored a sea lion), lots of walks on the beach and at the harbor, Point St. George (we could see the lighthouse), and collecting agates and exploring tidepools. The views from the observation room were inspiring and entertaining (we loved the sea lions & harbor seals!). Thank you again for making your house available for others to enjoy!

We had a delightful stay at Lighthouse view
cottage. We enjoyed breakfast in the
upstairs sitting room overlooking the
lighthouse and the seals out on the rocks.
We enjoyed all the space in the cottage and
the kitchen was so complete we could
prepare our faviorite dishes.
When returning at night from visiting the
Smith River or the Klamath river or Oregon
coast, we felt safe and comfortable and
always got a great nights sleep to prepare
us for out next days adventures.
We just loved it! |

This was a very special trip for us as my Great-Great-Great Uncle was Captain Samuel Isaac DeWolf of the Brother Joanthan.
As a child my grandmother told me stories of the Captain and the shipwreck. To actually be here 138 years after seems like a dream. It has been the high point of our trip and made all the more special due to staying here.
