This was a wonderful place to stay. Breakfast on the lanai every morning, followed by a walk along the beach and then...off to explore! Our favorite beach by far, was Yukohama Bay-great for snorkling, bodyboarding ( if you have some experience)& just hanging out! Never crowded & the weather & water were beautiful every time we went.
Haleiwa on the North Shore is a funky & fun town! Get a custom bikini from Miss Hawaii herself, just allow a week for it to be made if you'd like to wear it on the island.
KoOlina's lagoons are a must! 20 minute drive there & the water is beautiful, wasn't crowded, very safe to swim here!
Kailua is also a spectacular beach w/ amazing turquoise water! Fun beach town for shopping too.
International Marketplace is a one stop shopping for gifts, located in Waikiki.

The older folks enjoyed having our first cups of coffee each AM watching the sunrise over Diamond Head sitting in the little lawn chairs listening and watching the waves roll in. We took H2 to the Nshore, Dole Planation, Waimea Bay and Garden, stopped at more beaches than I will ever remember the names to walk, take pix, get wet. Drove the whole Nshore, did Kualoa Ranch, saw Nuuanpali Lookout, shopped at AlaMoana Shopping Center (Hilo Hatties is the best)Also did the Int'l Market-some good deals there-parked for free at AlaMoana Center and road the pink bus for $2 to the Int'l Market.
We did the Arizona Memorial and it was as I remembered it 35 years ago, but I missed the painting that use to hang in the memorial. The ranger told me it's being restores. We hiked up to Diamond Head-breath taking views and I wasn't even sore the next day! Saw the blow holes and a munk seal on the beach near there. We loved to come home to the beach at the house each evening, fix dinner, wade/swim for a while, take a walk and look for treasures. Thank you Marci for opening your home to us! Until next time! This house was simply perfect. Away from the hustle and bustle or the city, yet close to everything. The mornings here are so peaceful. Our joy of coffee in the morning was supplemened by coffee and beautiful sunrises and the sounds of the pacific. Absolutely gorgeous! We enjoyed the folding chairs by the shore and watching, feeling the waves at our feet. Thank you so much for sharing this beauty with us. We loved our vacation.

Marci, We truly enjoyed your wonderful beach house. While traffic on Ft Weaver Rd was very heavy (at times), Ewa Beach is very convenient for travel to most locations on the island. While we saw many attractions on this vacation, our visit to the USS Arizona Menorial, The Missouri battleship and Pearl Harbor Naval Base will be our most memorable. The house is awesome! It had everything we needed. It is quiet ( except for the waves!) Back home we're having all time record setting temperatures so we were used to the heat here. It is a lot less humid than Florida and your cloths/towels actually dry on the line. We had no bug or ant problems which you can encounter regularly in other areas. Day trips around the island are easy to do if you don't go during rush hour. We went to Pearl Harbor at 8am and had no problems with traffic. Beautiful State, Beautiful flowers. We had a wonderful stay! Marci thought of everything and is a very hands on hostess. You are in good hands with her!
The house is perfect and the location is first rate.
We found the traffic to be improved. There weren't long delays, even during rush hours. If you are heading into Waikiki leave early to maximize your day. There is so much to see and do. Don't forget to set aside some time to relax. Spend time on the beach in front of the house. Go swimming - the water doesn't get too deep for a while.

We really enjoyed this beach house. The beds are soft and the yard is great. We did the following: when we got here we went into the backyard beach. On Wednesday we went to Yokahoma Beach were there were huge waves. On Thurs. we went to Pearl Harbor. On Friday, we went to Sunset Beach on the North Shore. On Saturday, we went to the eastern Pounder Park Beach. On Sunday, we went to church and Duke's and went to the swap meet to buy souveniers. On Monday we hiked Diamond Head and went to Waikiki Beach the most popular on earth. And on Tuesday, today, we are packing to leave. We had so much fun and we hope to come again! Love Luke

We enjoyed every minute from sun up to sun down! The kids thought the house was awesome. We would definitely come back again and again... The only complaints - traffic and there was too little time to do all the things we wanted to do. The Polynesian Cultural Center was the best-especially for the kids. The small shows were great. Waikiki Beach, Diamond Head, Dole Plantation, Hanauma Bay, Pearl Harbor. It was great. Just the drive around the island was a great scenic tour. Marci was a great host. Very helpful. Wakefield Family

We totally enjoyed the house, it is so gorgeous. Thanks for letting us use everything. Luau at Paradise Cove - wonderful. Honolulu Star Dinner Cruise- beautiful scenery. Dole Plantation - train ride and shop, Polynesian Cultural Center - Interesting Buddha Temple. Also Pearl Harbor and Stadium Flea Market - GREAT! Waikiki Beach and North Shore Drive, so many beaches, so Beautiful!! The view here is so beautiful. We cooked a lot of meals here and was great!
Lots of souvenirs to take back to MN. June 3rd today, must head home to Minnesota. Arrive there 5pm Jun 4th - 4 hour layover in Phonix - Aloha Bernice and Leroy.

We loved out stay at the "boob house". The beach was a blast cause we were the only ones on it. We played out their for hours. One of the most memorable moments was when a 500 lb seal come up to this very beach and decided to take a nap. The house was perfect and I loved every minute of staying in it. We came for Kirk Banks Soccer and the house was perfect for our family. My favorite part was the loft, which I stayed in most of the time. But, the only thing bad, was the traffic, it was terrible. But, once the construction is done, the next stay will be great! The beach was very entertaining. Me and my brother found part of a shark fin(or we think so) and we collected a bunch of sea glass. Enjoyed the house and the beach. We enjoyed the Northside and Eastside. Westside is hotter and dryer. Must see, the Polynesian Cultural Center, Pearl Harbor and USS MIssouri. To late in March for much whale watching. We used our GPS to get around. Outside of Waikiki or Honolulu we really did not need it. We took a few afternoons and hit a beach on the northside, southwest and westside. The waves let you know who is boss. Some good rides with the boogie boards. All was good! Traffic is what it is. Second time here - Fantastic - Weather was cool and cloudy most of the time, but still warmer than home.
Paradise Cove Laua is fantastic, great entertainment. Diamond Head is a must! Made it to the top this time. What a view!
Toured the island on 2 days, tried to avoid the traffic as much as possible-
The Atlantis submarine was well worth the time.
Sunset Cruise had spectacular views-
Enjoyed our stay- hope to come back again!

Stayed 1st 3 days in Timeshare on Waikiki Beach. It was great but also very commercial. House was a nice change. Marci- you have a lovely home, your hospitality was appreciated and I will definitely recommend you to others.
Now- to future guests, especially if you're a first timer.
Swap Meet - Aloha Stadium - Sat and Wed, the place for sourvneirrs. But don't rule out Hilo Hatties at 700 N Nimitz Hwy, Honolulu. Great deals, lots of variety and it has it's own parking. My GPS only showed the one on Ala Moana Blvd, but being here before I know this was still the best one. Now the fun stuff. Parasailing with Hawaiian Parasail. Incredible! Don't be afraid. Go For It !
Diamond Head - I am not going to tell you the trek is easy, but I had knee replacement in Aug. My sister has had 2 replacements in the same knee and needs another one in the other knee. It may of taken us twice as long as anyone else, but the view was worth every Ibuprofen taken.
Hanauma Bay - a must do. If you are afraid of the water, rent a safety vest at snorkel Bob's. Go Early. We left here at 6:45am and got there about 8:15am. The parking lot was full by 9-9:30am.

Great House. Lots of room to spread out. Lanai is wonderful! Traffic is not wonderful, better on the weekends.
Highlights of our visit-Kailua Beach Park best beach by far on the island. We visited it 3 times. KoOlina resort second on our list for snorkeling and swimming (calm waters) The cultural Center was a great experience, but once would be enough. The first 5 days we stayed in Waikiki, it's crazy with people, yet lots of fun and shopping, shopping, shopping!!!
The beach house is quiet and maybe a little far away from most attractions. We put on lots of miles getting around. Although it was nice to have a full kitchen to cook some meals in and enjoy them on the lanai.

What a gorgeous place. The island is breathtaking and this beachhouse caps off, with a perfect place to stay. The traffic is heavy, but equal to our hometown.
My advise is to explore the entire island, don't miss anything, from keava point on the northwest tip, to surfing on the northshore, there is just so much to see. Don't miss Hanuama Bay for snorkeling or sea life park, for a swim with the dolphins. We enjoyed our stay at Paradize III. We will definitely suggest it to our friends. This is definitely the way to stay on Oahu. Marci, we are so glad we found this house. Came for my son's wedding (he is based here in the Navy at Pearl Harbor) and also made a vacation out of it. It is so nice to relax here away from the awful traffic and the crowds on Waikiki. Things to do: 1. drive the windward side of the island, Hanauma Bay, Kailua, Pali Point, 2. Go deep sea fishing on the SeaHawk or Maggie Jo 3. Dole Plantation 4. North Shore, Haliewa, Jameson's 5. Pearl Harbor.
Things not to do: 1. drive anywhere further on the leeward side than KoOlina. 2.try and drive in and our of Ewa Beach from 5-9am and 3-7pm ( construction on the main road from 8-2). O'don't miss the swap meet. Great way to get all your souveniers. Fishing is great right from the beach. The locals gave us great tips, wade out 100 yards, cast your line and walk back. | The house was awesome. frist trip to hawaii and i couldnt believe the view. Made it a whole lot easier to enjoy the evenings after we got off work. We could stay in and cook dinner ,eat on the patio with the waves crashing in the background, and not have to deal with all the traffic and ridiculous prices. all in all i would have to say we could not have picked a more perfect location to stay and would recommend the house to anyone looking for an authentic hawaiian vacation.TWO THUMBS WAY UP!!!!!!!!! |

What a great house! We loved the sound of the waves. Everyone had plenty of room - very comfortable. Activities that we did: Atlantis submarine, Navatek dinner cruise, both very good, although the singer on the cruise sounded a lot like William Hung(pretty bad!) We went to the Paradise Cove luau- excellent! Snorkeling at Hanauma Bay and Sharks cove on the north shore ( saw more fish there- great!) We also went to Pearl Harbor - a must see.

This beautiful beach house convinced us that a vacation house rental can be soooo much better than a hotel. We had one small problem with the fridge. Marci's response was fast and gracious and she more than compensated for the inconvenience. In addition to seeing many of the big attractions, we found our way to the Ko Olina beach #4 (with breakers to reduce waves - great for the little ones) and Sway Meet ( Saturday in the Aloha Stadium) Also there is a ferry from Barbers's Point Harbor to Waikiki/downtown. We had such a great time staying at this house- absolutely loved it! If you go boogie-boarding here make sure you wear your water shoes since it is rocky, We came for AYSO National Games- soccer and knew we didn't want to stay in Waikiki so it was a great starting place for all of our adventures...*Pearl Harbor and USS Missouri- really great. * NorthShore excursion, Dole platation, Matsumoto's shaved ice, Turtle Bay(Tim swam out farther and a turtle was right next to him)and lots of turtles near the shore and rocks, and Pounders Beach- stumbled on to it as a place to eat our pineapple we had just bought at a fruit stand. It was awesome, waves for boogie boards-amazing day! * Hiking- the Judd Trail, about a 1 mile loop which leads to Jackass Pool, swimming hole with rocks to slide down or jump off, more tropical jungle type of hike. * Pali lookout- beautiful views * Hawaiian Adventure Water Park - lots of fun, * Hanging out here at the beach, finding coconuts and catching crabs - lots of pictures. Thanks Marci for making us comfortable and welcome.

The house is beautiful and perfect for us. Kitchen was great, you had everything that we needed. You also equipped all of us with maskes, snorkels, boogie boards and chairs, ice chest and beach towels to use. You thought of everything to make our vacation easy and fun.
The boys played for hours daily on the beach.
Highlights: Hawaii Maritime Center - excellent museum plus hours of activities for kids. Glass Bottom Boat - only one on Oahu- out of Kaneohe Bay 808-292-8470. Pacific Aviation Museum at Pearl Harbor- our 10 year old wanted to go twice! Shaved ice at Ewa Seed Co, end of the mini-mall with Foodland and Longs Drugs. All breakfast and most dinners on the lanai. Shrimp shacks on the North Shore and great snorkeling at puupuukea Beach. Dole whips on the plantation - yum! Germaines Laua - the kids loved it.

We were here for a Regional Soccer Tournament at Waipio Soccer Complex. Good location for that and the team was in Waikiki. The house was great. Brad and friends spent sometime in the ocean. We had long walks along the beach. Ate many meals out of the kitchen. Having lived on Maui previously, we enjoyed the "local" feel. Thanks for your help, the basket and all the information.

We enjoyed out stay on the island. We enjoyed snorkeling at Hanauma Bay, it is beautiful there. Take a drive to the North Shore and East Side. We went to Pearl Harbor and the Dole Plantation-pineapples are so good! Polynesian Center was fun but the food was not the greatest. Shopped in Weikele Outlets and in Waikiki. Beach stuff at the house came in handy. Thanks for a enjoyable stay.

Enjoyed our stay and avoided traffic by not traveling in rush hour - 6am-8am and 4-7pm.
Events we enjoyed! snorkeling in Hanauma Bay, Sailboat riding in Waikiki, Surf lessons by "Stan Van the surfing Man" in Haleiwa, beautiful historic rustic/quaint town about 45-60 minutes away from Ewa ( North Shore). Be sure to get shaved ice, extra condensed milk, ice-crean at Matsamotos grocery store. Skip Laua at Polynesian Cultural Center its "cheesy" and buffet style.

Great place for our 6 year re-union. We agree with most, that the traffic is a problem. But we learned to keep away from peak times, a small price to pay. Temp at home 30 degrees below zero, 84 degrees here.
This started out as a joke for the last year, to go to the pro bowl, and then we found and rented this beautiful house. From there we progressed to plane tickets and Pro Bowl tickets, 6th row north end of the end zone.
In 6 days, we saw and did as much as possible driving thru this endless traffic, so didn't spend much time in the house. Adventured out to waikiki beach, dole plantation, diamond head, polynesian cultural center, International marketplace, pearl harbor and each place will stay with us on our trip for a lifetime!!!

Love the house and beach, perfect for the 2 of the 3 of us who are non-swimmers and just want to see and feel and smell and touch the ocean but not actually get into it.
Thank you for getting the phone fixed pronto! Everything else that we need to work-worked. We never needed ice-maker or even a.c. ( the ceiling fans were great).
Loved our master bedroom and bath and double headed shower! Mostly loved the fact that there was always enough hot water and it came out of the shower head fast.. not trickling out ( a pet peeve of mine).
For any one reading this-regarding the city bus- we took it (line#42, $2.00, one morning to Waikiki, which took about 1 1/2 hours. The trip back to Ewa Beach however took 3 hours! We left Waikiki at 4:20 pm so BEWARE!!
Having the washer/dryer was a blessing! We knew it was here and still brought too many clothes!

We were very happy with the Paradize III house on the beach. It was nice not having the hassels of dealing with hotel rooms and having the convenience of your own appliances (especially a full size fridge!). The beach was great in searching for shells and glass. Swimming was great down the road at Ewa Beach Park. (we went there every other day to let the kids swim)
The home is clean, comfortable, and located in a good spot to drive your rental car from (it's a centrally located spot for driving to attractions etc). The enclosed lanai/porch was a great gathering place for our family every evening.
I would highly recommend this home to anyone that is traveling in a larger group of people and don't want the hassles of hotels. The house is reasonably priced and you get to know what it would be like to live there not just visit! Having the spacious room of a house made it easier to maintain the four children we had with us - compared to sitting in two hotel rooms with each having two large beds in the middle of those rooms! The private (exluding the beach side - who wants that scene blocked anyway?) and fully enclosed yard made it very easy to maintain our two five year olds outside the house. We spent most of our time on the lanai enjoying the sound of the ocean and fresh hawaiian air when we were not out shopping, swimming, visiting the water park, or any of the other numerous things you can do on the island (and we did a lot!) - it was very nice and a relaxing spot to start and end the day. We maybe heard two sirens the whole time we were there and they have a fire department one street over!
I wouldn't be surprised if we ended up vacationing there again in the future. Without a doubt it will be our choice if we ever visit Oahu again!

This area has the best fireworks display in the world for New Years! We really enjoyed the Paradise of the island. The locals call this the Boob house. Pretty funny.
We had 2 days of sunshine on the beach and it was terrific to just play in the backyard. Swimming was a little ruff without the water shoes. Locals taught us how to fish out back. Just walk out 100 yards, drop your hook, walk back, when you reach the beach you have a nice 3 lb bone fish on your line. We went snorkling out their, ran into a sea snake, we went for a "man hike" up Mt pali only 2000 mosquito bites, sprained ankle and pinky finger, lots of mud- The women were safe- they went shopping, only had to fend off the marked up prices at the marketplace! We all had a super time, thanks Marci

Right out of our boys mouths says it all " it was awesome!"
We loved this house and found it comfortable and perfect for our family. We spend hours and hours playing in the beach, boogie boarding and making sand castles. It was fun going through the goodies and treasures left in the closet!
My 3 year old even gave us her own rendition of the hula dance with some of the blow up toys. The location was great and easy to get around- EXCEPT downtown Honolulu on a Friday night. ( we didn't know it was marathon weekend - opps!) We hit all the biggies, I think, but missed Diamond Head ( kids too tired that day we planned)None of us are ready to leave and wish we had another week in your house, watching the sunrise and sunset and hearing that beautiful ocean all night. This was my third trip to this same property! I love the serenity and location away from the tourists. It is close enough to visit the hot spots of the island, but still offers true island flair. The fenced backyard allows safety for children and peace of mind, while still offering a spectacular view of the ocean. The sound of the ocean in the master bedroom lulled me to sleep every night. On one visit, I actually was able to see the whales migrating right from the covered patio."

Loved it here! Great Place! Very peaceful and quiet! and everything we needed. Loved the sound of the waves at night. The girls loved the A/C after sunburns.

I just wanted to send you a quick message to let you know we LOVED the house - although the acoustics were kind of interesting ;-)
Lorin's welcome was fun and he had a lot of great local information for us. We loved every detail to the house from the winding staircase to the lovely stained glass throughout to the well-manicured yard.
Falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the surf (and the myna birds & pigeons) was a wonderful way to spend our week at Paradize III and it was difficult to get used to the quiet when we got back home to Washington! I have been recommending it to anyone who is even thinking about visiting Oahu.
