We just returned from our Hawaiian vacation in March 08 and we had three lovely days at Kawika's Hill in Hana. The home was beyond our expectations and the pictures just give you a small glimpse of how beautiful the home is. We enjoyed watching the sunrise over the ocean every morning from the comfort of the hot tub. There were airy spacious rooms with large windows and a wraparound deck. There were all the comforts of home. It was also very nice to stay in Hana and not feel rushed to try and get all the site seeing in. We plan on returning to Kawika's Hill and will stay longer next time.

We spent two weeks in Maui in December (06) and stayed in several different vacation rentals but this was the family favorite. EVERYTHING was perfect. Personally, I appreciated things like the quality linens and very comfortable beds. The hot tub was perfect after a day of fun in the sun and great in the rain. The house was beautiful and well-equipped and the views were spectacular. Next time we come we will spend our whole stay there. Thank you for sharing this great home with us, and at such a reasonable price. We hope to return:)

What a pleasant surprise. We didn't know what to expect having never been to Maui, but this was the perfect place to begin our lives together. Its a stunning little cottage when you first see it. Beautiful woodwork and the coolest little floor-plan with a vast overlook of the Pacific. You always feel partly outside here, even the round design slightly resembles the center of two giant bayan trees, yet clearly a comfortable dwelling embellished with the finest amenities. Secluded from Hana Highway and any neighbors, the forest rises behind for miles to the lower crest of Haleakala crater. In front, the ocean is silent from its lofty mountain perch. On a clear night the stars are stunningly bold against a black sky, unsubdued by foreign light. The kitchen had all the best appliances to concoct a feast, and mood lighting for dinner. By day, Kawika made for the perfect home base to forge our little expeditions around the east side. Hana is delightful, with a small town charm untouched by modern development... Many pleasant beaches, waterfalls and trails nearby, even snorkeling was excellent with an array of tropical fish to feast the eyes. On days when a strenuous hike or body surfing tired us out, the cottage always had a way of welcoming us home. An easy place to settle back into its comforts. Warm up in the Jacuzzi and back to a nice perch on the lanai to reflect on the days adventures. Ah... the perfect honeymoon!

We had a wonderful time - the perfect getaway for Kim and me and a special time for my sister to get to know our new baby. I have raved to many people about our visit and I'm sure that you will have people calling. We hope to visit again soon.

Just a note to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay last week. We are back in cold New England now and our trip already feels like a distant memory :(. The house and grounds are beautiful and so relaxing. We ventured out to the jacuzzi, settled in and enjoyed the stars and serenity of our home away from home. I would recommend the property to anyone looking for a place away from it all. My sister in Makawao loved it, also, and may be in touch in the future for a last minute get-away, vacancy permitting. I wish there was a place on the web-site for guests to write about it to let others know... although I'd rather keep it a secret for our own future travel plans :).... Again, thanks so much for the opportunity to stay there. We will look forward to a future stay...

We had a wonderful time at Kawika’s Hill – it was a fabulous house in a spectacular setting. The house was beautiful and very comfortable. It was tastefully decorated and stocked with all basic necessities – which really made it feel like it was a first-class resort. What can I say about the house that you don’t know? I loved the wood and all the windows. It was wonderful to always be able to see the surrounding beauty. I spent lots of time going from window to window looking at the views. I loved waking up every morning prior to sunrise and sipping my coffee in the deck as the sun rose. The spa was a wonderful addition. We spent time in it every day. The chaise lounge made a big difference for me – I am a sun lover and spent hours in the sun, feeling the breeze, watching the clouds go by, and listening to the birds. We truly did not want to leave. It was two of the most relaxing and peaceful weeks I’ve ever had in my life.

We had such a wonderful time at Kawika's. You were right the internet pictures do not do it justice. We have stayed in other homes in Maui, and have decided that Kawika's is our favorite. Thank you so much for all your help and attentiveness. When we return, we hope to return to Kawika's.
