| This is a place we could go over and over again. The trails are great to hike; the river is so peaceful and wonderful to listen to at night. My husband caught a 23 inch rainbow trout right in the back yard! Who could ask for a more relaxing location and the house is great as are the owners. I look forward to going back up in the future |

| We stayed here March 10 to 17. Our only regert is that we could not stay longer. We like the house so much, especially our 10 years old son. We fished, hiked, played pool and watched TV. We caught some fish right in front of the house. Lisa and Strickland were very helpful. Thanks for sharing your house. |

I can't say enough good things about our week at the Mountain Side Cabin on the Hiawassee! The house, the river, the town, the owners....were all wonderful!
My son & his friend (13 yr olds) had a great time rafting, fishing, hiking and shooting pool. My dog, a golden retriever, thought she'd died and gone to doggy heaven - she stayed in the river. As for me, sitting on the screened in porch early in the morning overlooking the river, before anyone else was up was divine!
If you want a stress-free, relaxing vacation - this is the place!
When you are in town, visit the Cafe on the Corner and the Copper Door Restaurant and tell them Sharon sent you. |

This was a wonderful rental experience. The riverfront location is amazing and the cabin is even more charming and cozy than it looks in the pictures. It is tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The kitchen is fully stocked and roomy with a large island. There is a large screened back deck with rocking chairs and a comfy sofa – I enjoyed my coffee here in the mornings, watching steam rise off the river. The unscreened deck with a chiminea was perfect for hanging out on while playing pool or grilling dinner. Plenty of firewood was generously provided. We were lucky to have cold, clear weather, so we used the chiminea, gas fireplace, and fire pit down by the river. So many stars were visible here at night.
There is a wide trail next to the cabin that follows the river for several miles, so you can go hiking right from your back door. We always had this trail to ourselves, which allowed for great off-leash walks for our dog. If you bring a dog, I guarantee he or she will love it here.
While the cabin seemed secluded, it’s in a great location – it’s only 5 miles from a large grocery store and restaurants, and about halfway between Hayesville and Murphy so you can explore either town. It was very easy to run errands when necessary and all the roads are paved.
The cabin owners were friendly and helpful in every way – they definitely work hard to make sure their guests are comfortable and happy. We really appreciated their attention to detail and hospitality. It is obvious that they love this cabin and want to make it the best vacation rental possible. We hope to return again, as this was one of our most relaxing and enjoyable vacations ever. |

| We had a WONDERFUL time at this cozy cabin! Being right on the river made our vacation such a great experience! We were able to going hiking along the river and caught some really beautiful trout right in front of the cabin. I would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone who enjoys staying in a beautiful, comfortable cabin that has the most beautiful views around, and to anyone who loves to fish. It truly is a fisherman's dream! |
