| We stayed for the weekend at the end of March. It is beautiful. I would recommend no more than 3 couples, if you are booking. Even though the weather was not great, the house was a great retreat. We were able to watch March Madness on the big screen TV. Everything is very clean and neat and well-maintained. We will most likely go back again. |

We had a great time over New Years Weekend. Your house was beautiful. None of us ever expected it to be so nice. The pictures you sent us did not show how beautiful the property and the interior was. Thank you for a great experience. That weekend ended up being an "engagement weekend" for Jason and I. He asked me to marry him right before the holiday and we celebrated at Arrowhead Lake with our closest friends. How often does that happen? Thank you for an awesome weekend. | We spent a relaxing spring weekend at Arrowhead Lake in the Pocono Palace. The lakes are very quiet and beautiful. We picniced on the beach while taking turns in the canoe. The kids loved the playground and floating swim platforms. The wrap around deck and hot tub were great for down time. The kitchen was very well equipped. The golf cart was a fun way to see the beaches and explore the grounds. THE BEST SURROUND SOUND SYSTEM EVER including all the required DVD's to enjoy it. Next time we need a whole week. |

We recently stayed at the Burkey Pocono House over New Years Weekend. We had 8 adults, but the house was more than enough room for everyone. Cozy, yet modern, the house is filled with everything we needed, even a complimentary bottle of champagne from the owners to help us bring in the new year. The weather was a little warmer than we would have liked, but we were still able to spend an evening at Big Boulder located just 10 minutes away.
There's plenty to do around the area, but we didn't even want to leave the house. The big screen TV in the main room was perfect for the New Years Bowl games, yet each bedroom had it's own TV and DVD player for those who wanted some peace and quiet. At night, the living room was the perfect hang out for all of us - board games by the fire, followed by a dip in the relaxing hot tub under the stars.
The condition of the house is what amazed us the most. Not a single flaw. It had the comforts of a hotel suite in the quiet and peacefulness of the Poconos.
The location of Arrowhead Lake is close to the major highways, yet far enough away to make it seem like your own private hideaway. Add to that a good price, scenic views, and a beautiful home to share with your closest friends and family, and it made for the perfect vacation! |

I highly recommend this property, loved the house, the location, nearby area and accessibility to the ski resorts. I stayed in this property for 3 nights during the Christmas weekend 2005, with my friend’s family (3 adults and a 8-yr old girl). This is probably one of the best houses in the Aroohead Lake property, and I’m not exaggerating. The layout of the house is perfect, with the windows facing the lake, and large ceilings creating a pleasant ambiance early in the morning and in the afternoon.
There is plenty of space in the main room for several adults to relax and kids to play, my friend’s daughter loved Playstation 2 set-up upstairs, and she spent a few afternoons watching DVDs in one of the rooms on the second floor, while we sat and chatted in the main room downstairs. The kitchen is also very convenient, with a little bar area wide enough to have a meal, but just perfect for a few drinks later in the day. The master bedroom is quite large too and very conveniently located next to the kitchen – so no long walks to the fridge… it’s a vacation, right, so why go far for food? We cooked in the kitchen pretty much all of our meals, the pots, pans, utensils were all new. If you like the modern style, with European accents of a chalet in the alps – this house reminded me of exactly that. Everything seem to be brand new, and it really exceeded all expectations.
Loved the hot tub – we spent hours jumping in and out after skiing, and the fact that there are showers upstairs and downstairs made it easy for everyone to cool off fast afterwards. Other interestingly convenient things were plugs in the floorboard, which can be opened for easy access to power up, say, a laptop. Several times I sat in the main room with my laptop, and noone tripped over my power cables, which happens at my house all the time.
The weather was a little too warm and it didn’t snow, so we didn’t go to Big Boulder and went to Camelback where they seemed to have had more snow. The drive was pretty fast ~20 minutes, and we did that twice during our stay. Much thanks to the owners for keep the property in such great shape. We’ll definitely come back!

I just returned from a long weekend Thanksgiving get away at this rental property with my family (two girls 7 and 9), and wanted to let everyone know what a wonderful rental property this is. I'm not sure what the age of the house is, but everything looked brand new and was in working condition. It was a really nice convenient property right in near Jack Frost and Big Boulder. When we arrived there were 4 deer in the back yard, and they stayed with us on and off the entire weekend. The Arrowhead lake community was nice as well. We were just a short walk from a lake, and the renters also had two bikes available for riding around the community.
We were able to do some hiking, go horseback riding, check out some shops and took an afternoon to go to BushKill Falls. The house was equiped with everything you would need. The kids loved the video/game library and watching a movie on the wide screen TV. With the lake and the location to Poconos activities this is a great place to stay on and off ski season.
Don't forget to bring your bathing suit for the hot tub after a long day of skiing.
Again, we had a wonderful time, and want to thank the renters for everything. |
