| We stayed at Stella Luna for a week in August to get out of the Houston heat and had a wonderful family vacation. The location of the home outside of Taos is great for those interested in hiking and biking in the mountains and yet town is close enough to enjoy the restaurants and shopping. The house itself is nicely decorated, spacious and kid-friendly. Our host provided us with his signature welcome of wine and food and was extremely helpful with suggestions for activities in the area. We will definitely come back. |

The house, the amenities, and Sanjay's warm hospitality lived up to previous glowing reviews. The food basics, fruit and wine--plus the ready wood for the fire--made late arrival seem like "welcome home". The hot tub right outside the door made ski recovery easy and added to the many other special features. A wonderful place, and we plan to return.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Stella Luna. It was the perfect location for our Spring Break getaway...between Taos and the ski valley. It was a very comfortable, well decorated home. It was nice to meet our host, Sanjay, and we very much enjoyed the wine, fruit, coffee, chips and salsa and other goodies he had waiting for us. We would definitely recommend staying here. |

| Had a very nice stay at Stella Luna Jan 21-25. We stay at a lot of VRBO properties and were especially pleased ; Sanjay is a great host, the "extras" that he provides were a nice surprise for my family and greatly appreciated when we arrived fairly late in the evening. A nice location in between the town of Taos and the ski resort; it's a bit "off the beaten path", which gives you a nice experience of what it must be like to live in this beautiful place. Hope to return to Taos, and would surely consider staying here again... |

January 3 thru 9th, WOW – What a great experience! We leave AZ and arrive at Taos (9 pm) as one of the largest snow falls seen in past 10 years starts falling. It was cold, 25? if I remember right. The house was warm thanks to the great radiant floor heating and the fireplace, it was fun/difficult to get the wood out back covered with 2 feet of snow. But the house was so vary comfortable the entire trip and the outside temp was staying in the 19? area when the snow storm was there.
Well the snow fell and we knew we had to get some food so next morning we went to town to stock up. The road disappeared on the way back to the house. We had now stocked up and the entertainment provided in the house gave us a great 2 day snow in.
The house was far better than I imagined – yes I read ALL the reviews. The fruit bowl and wine waiting, and all the staples in the cabinets were just what we needed. The beds and bedding were great. We took advantage of the washer/drier, dishwasher, dvd’s, TV, magazines, 2 notebooks with area restaurant menus and things to do, but it was just too cold to try the Hot Tub out back.
Our last 3 days we went all over the valley; Rio Grande Gorge, Taos Ski Valley, Taos Pueblo, Taos. We plan to go back again, but I believe these desert dwellers will return when there is a little less white stuff.
Thanks Sanjay, you have 2 thumbs from us.

Had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home. We had an issue with the power, but Sanjay took all measures to remedy the situation. Sanjay is a very conscientious property manager, and was a pleasure to work with. The home was perfect for our needs, and I would highly recommend this home to anyone visiting the Taos area. |

A great house and Sanjay is a great host as well. The house is a joy, beautifully decorated, serene, and well stocked with all the essentials, including expresso machine, books, DVDs, games, and a welcome basket with wine as well.
Beautiful area as the foot of the sacred mountain with fabulous views -- but just a short drive into Taos or up to the ski basin as well.
Highly recommended. |

9/17/08 Just finished an 11 night stay at Stella Luna. The House & the hosts lived up to all (high) expectations as attested by prior renters. Sanjay kindly waited for our later than expected arrival & provided minute by minute phone directions when we got lost (due to exhaustion from our long trip). He even "shopped" for us providing requested organic skim milk, whole grain bread, a fantastic fruit bowl, etc! We had power outages for a couple hrs in the pm for 3 days (wind/rain storms in the mtns, I think, as it was nice where we were), otherwise everything was terrific. The out of town location was a great base for our extensive hiking in the area. We were VERY happy to be away from the congestion of town. We will definitely recommend Stella Luna to our friends & will rent again when we return to Taos area. |

| Our choice to stay at Stella Luna was based greatly on all the previous positive comments and they are all true! There were groceries awaiting us after a long drive and Sanjay and Maura patiently and enthusiastically filled us in on what to do and where to eat in Taos. I intended to do a good deal of cooking while there and there were all the kitchen appliances and cookware you could hope for. Cabinets were stocked with spices, cereal, and plenty of other dry goods. It was like staying at a good friend's house. The location is beautiful. I was glad to not be staying in town. The house was plenty spacious for four adults and everyone slept very soundly each night. Peaceful and comfortable, this is the perfect place to commune with the mountains. |

| We just returned from a wonderful week of vacation in Taos and Stella Luna is lovely place to stay. Stella Luna is serene, beautifully decorated and well maintained. Attention to detail is outstanding! We were greeted graciously by our hosts and found fresh fruit, wine and groceries to get us settled and immediately nourished upon our arrival - we were so grateful! The views of the mountains are gorgeous, the dark skies displayed more stars than you could possibly take in at once and we listened to the howl of coyotes at night. We came with our friends for a week of rest, relaxation and fun - that is just what we got. Thank you! Highly recommend Stella Luna! |

| THIS IS THE PLACE YOU WANT TO STAY! My wife and 2 year old spent a little over a wonderful week at Stella Luna and are looking forward to going back for sure. It is close enough and far enough from both the town of Taos and the Taos Ski Valley. It has everything you need: comfortable beds, laundry facilities, 2 bed and 2 full baths, hot tub, kiva fireplace, kitchen with everything you need including a wonderful suprise of some wine and a little food to get us started in into vacation mode. Sanjay, the owner, was wonderful to deal with every step of the way. Plain and simple, it is just a lovely place. Look, I am going to stop now because I want to make sure it doesn't get so popular that we can't rent it again, becuase we really want to go back! And great sunsets. Ok, that's it, that's it! :) |

| Staying at Stella Luna was like being a pampered guest in a private home. The level of comfort and luxury far exceeded our expectations, and we were delighted with the generous welcome provided by a nice bottle of wine and some carefully chosen local foods to start off our stay. We have fond memories of true relaxation sipping coffee in the morning sun on the deck at the base of the mountains, and the kids loved their nightly hot tub "swims." Sanjay went way beyond the call of duty in helping our family plan our New Mexico vacation, and his enthusiasm, local knowledge and endless patience with our questions were phenomenal. We whole-heartedly recommend this vacation rental, and we look forward to a return visit one day. |

| Stella Luna truly exceeded our expectations in every way. Four women celebrated our birthdays together, a memorable time. What made Stella Luna the very best vacation rental I've enountered? - Location, accessible to both mountains (great hiking and horse back riding) and Taos (museums, shopping, Pueblo reservation); Comfort of Stella Luna (tastefully furnished); and the Kindness of our host Sanjay, who really understands the needs of travelers seeking a special vacation. we wanted to say a great big thank you for our stay at stella luna. as you will see from the pictures below we thoroughly enjoyed every minute at the house....and the surrounding area. there is so much to see and do, and if you don't want to do anything, that's ok too. we had a very nice place to hang out in when we just wanted to relax.
one thing we particularly appreciated was the wonderfully equipped kitchen. we like to cook in for dinner, taking advantage of the ingredients we cannot get on cape cod. the pots and pans were probably the best we have ever found in a house we have rented. one night as we were making green chili stew we discovered i had not bought the needed onions. i called Abe's to see if they had onions. No, but they would sell me what i needed.....one large onion for 75 cents. of course i was able to buy a couple of their wonderful empanadas too. seco is just a neat place to be.
thanks for all the goodies you left. we enjoyed them all as i am sure you noticed there was not much left.
i hope all was in satisfactory shape when we left and we do hope to return one day.

What a beautiful place to stay in the Taos Valley. My daughter and I stayed over a weekend in January. The home truely gives the taste of Taos. The high ceilings, the hot tub, the fireplace, the great beds were exceptional. The best part were all the little things you did to make it so comfortable; firewood to burn, food in the refrigerator and cabinets, the snacks and fresh fruit. We had such a wonderful time and it was so close to the ski area. We were up the mountain and on the chair lift in 20 minutes. I would defintely reccomend family and friends to use your place the next time they go to Taos. Thanks again, Monette Sedberry |

An unforgetably wonderful experience is the only way to describe my stay at Stella Luna. I spent a week there with 5 knitting friends. We all wish our stay could have been much longer. Sanjay and Marah provided for our every need and then some including 6 separate sleeping spaces. Stella Luna is beautiful inside and out. How luxurious to start the morning around the fireplace, have brunch on the patio looking out at the snow covered mountains, and relax in the hottub under the stars! There is so much to do and see in Taos but we found ourselves wanting to just hang out at Stella Luna. |

With some effort, it is possible to find a good vacation house almost anywhere. With a little more time, a good location can also be found and with even more research one can get a fair price. However, finding a vacation house with all the above plus an ambience and feel of a peaceful, restful HOME is a true bonus !
