Thank you for another wonderful get away. Enjoyed the new additions to the cabin, especially the reading light beside the rocking chair. And with all the rain and chilly air we LOVED the hot tub.
We had dinner Saturday evening at Lomo grill and the bread is to-die-for. We ate so much bread that we could barely finish our entree! It's a bit pricey but so worth it. Happy April Fools day---Wishing you a profitable season in '08.

We enjoyed our stay at Country Lovin'. It was very relaxing. Just wish our stay could have been longer. The cabin was very welcoming. We couldn't have asked for it to be anymore comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub and the nice robes. That was really a nice touch. We went into Waynesville Saturday and ate at Maggie's Galley. Just like another guest said, it looked like a shack, but the food was fantastic. I highly recommend it!! We will surely be back. Hopefully for a longer stay. Thank you for such an enjoyable stay.

This was a great escape from Grand Central Station. We share 4 1/2 acres w/two granddaughters, two grandson's & my aunts. We seldom have time alone. The cabin is secluded, but close to town, which we found very nice. We enjoyed the hot tub & the sound of the creek. We were also very impressed with your attention to detail. We had a great time & enjoyed the privacy!

7/8-11/07 Jamie & I were married on 7/7/07 and much needed a great honeymoon, a nice, cozy & comfortable place.
This was our first time at Balsam Cabins. It was more than I could have ever imagined.
I was amazed at it's cleanliness when we arrived, much unlike a musty motel room. The creek was an added bonus, that along with the comfy bed. I slept sound every night and didn't want to get up.
Shirlene was a very nice lady. We enjoyed the visit from Leo and Sandy, they are very well mannered dogs.
Shirlene's suggestion for Maggie's Galley couldn't have been more perfect, they have the best food, Fat Buddies BBQ has the best Baby Back Ribs I have ever eaten.
This honeymoon couldn't have been as exciting if we had stayed somewhere else.
Thanks for making this the perfect get-a-way that was much needed. I really hate having to leave. It was like having a little piece of Heaven
We will be back soon I hope. **sorry I took up 2 pages, too much to say.

10/23/06 We so enjoyed our stay in your cozy Country Lovin cabin. It was a great anniversary get away. I love the creek running right outside. It put us fast asleep. The fruit dishes are so pretty, by the way! Today was so beautiful! We went up the Blue Ridge Parkway & enjoyed the gorgeous fall colors. We ate Cracker Barrell in our camping chair at an overlook & then went to Grove Park Inn Spa-love that place!!! Tomorrow we're headed off to Chimney Rock Park & then back home. Thanks again!

10/14-21/06 This is a special place! We were looking to get to the mountains to take in the fall color, but this cabin alongside a brook was a real bonus. We visited Waynesville and I had the opportunity to fish the Davidson River with a guide from Altamont Anglers-best trout water I've ever been on. Took a drive up to Cades Cove in the Great Smokies and will be returning to Charleston via the Parkway. This was a great location for all of our travels. Many thanks for a great experience. The cabin was wonderful to return to each evening after a day's outing. This was a break we both needed. I can't think of a better place to have been this week.

9/1-4/06 Thank you for a wonderful experience. Like the song says "Almost Heaven" yet this is as good as West Virginia. My family had a grand time listening to the creations is the best medicine. My babies loved the rocking chair, quess we will have to purchase one. The hot tub will take you into another place in life. What a great way to spend our 3rd year anniversary. Our honeymoon was in this area which made the trip even better. The most joyous of all was the sound of the rumbling creek and feeling the nice breeze from sleeping with the door open. 6/17/06 Wow, I'm sitting on the porch listening to the creek in harmony with nature. If it wasn't for the occasional truck on the highway I could pretend I was one of the first settlers here. My husband & I have really enjoyed our stay. We needed this so much, so far not one arguement. That is a miracle! He hoves the hot tub, I have a feeling we may have to purchase one soon. Everything is so close here just a short drive to town or the parkway. I have to go further for a loaf of bread at home. We highly recommend Maggie's Galley seafood & so much more. The stuffed shrimp with dill sauce was great. My husband enjoyed his seafood platter. We even ate alligator. Even that was tasty, a little chewy. To future guests it was beside Eckerds looks like a shack from the outside, old time decor. I don't even like seafood and I liked it. Enough about food. I am the most relaxed I have been in months. Love this little cabin on the creekbank. The Bishop's. Oh about the tv, haven't even cut it on, didn't want to drown out the creek.

This area has always been our favorite fall camping destination. This year we're camping a home (after Katrina); so we were especially pleased with the Country Lovin' cabin. It is so pleasant, clean, well appointed and private! We will be back and will tell all of our friends. My husband was intrigued with the screen door. As a builder, he thought the solution innovative. He said next time he'll bring a planer. I thought that would take away from the character of the cabin. Thank you for this "time in retreat" from our disaster.

This log cabin has been the perfect choice for our vacation. Being a native of NC, returning home for a visit, plus bringing along my Italian husband made it important to me to stay somewhere that made a great impression and lacked nothing to make us comfortable. You've thought of everything to the last detail. I can't think of a way to improve the comfort or homeyness (is that a word?) Your personalities exude from placement of furniture to pictures on the wall. And you've thought of everything, including wine-bottle-opener. It was very private, although we knew you were only footsteps away- also a perfect combination...especially when you need someone to remove the screen door from it's hinges (when we locked ourselves out!!!) We wish you success in future rentals. I will refer it to the friends I've met and already have in Asheville, but mostly likely they will be referring it to friends of theirs, visiting the area. We will definitely be back! At the moment, it is unsure whether 1,2,or 3 years before returning for a USA visit from Europe, but we WILL return! Thanks for making a huge contribution to making our 2005 Summer Vacation a memorable one!!

I,m a writer and had requested a private, quiet place with a stream. Country Lovin was perfect! I felt safe enough to sleep with the door open so we could hear the stream. The cabin was nicely equipped and cute. The pets loved it as much , or more, as we did. The owners were near, but not intrusive and very nice. I wish we had more time. This is probably the most relaxed get-away we've ever expeienced. Most definitely will be back--very soon.
