We enjoyed our stay tremendously! The displays put on by the whales was just amazing. The sound of the surf and daily visits from turtles, what more can you ask for? I recommend guests visit the lagoons at Ko'Olina and eat at Kohen's & Southern Swell. This was our first time on this side of the island and we will definitely consider it for our next year's trip. Thank you so much!

Where do we start? We spent three weeks in this unit, and could have spent three months. The apartment is absolutely perfect, well equipped with everything you need. There is also high speed internet access (that was very important to me, since I had to keep in touch with my office). All of your beach needs are taken care of, including chairs, hats, umbrellas, beach bags and boogy boards. The views are amazing, and we enjoyed watching the whales and the turtles just about every day. I would recommend this place to anyone - excellant value, the neighbours are friendly, security was unquestionable. We just had a wonderful, relaxing time. We will definitely stay at this place on our next trip to Hawaii.

Wow! What a beautiful place to stay. This last Thanksgiving (2007) my wife, myself and our married son and daughter-in-law spent a bit over a week here. Makaha has a small town atmosphere the is definitely not touristy. Many people at the Cabanas live here year around. The people are friendly and helpful and the property is on one of the most beautiful beaches on Hawaii. Snorkeling with the sea turtles as well as boogie boarding when the surf came up was great fun. The sunsets are fantastic. We made it a point to be at the condo for each sunset. This stay will be remembered forever.

Norm and I really want to thank you for sharing your unit with us. It was very comfortable and equipped excellent. The trip was fabulous and it is the most beautiful state we have ever been to visit. We could have asked for nothing more, and know how blessed we were to have spent the time in Makaha Valley. It was hard to leave, but I am so glad we trusted our heart and followed our dream and stayed at your unit. We recommend it for everyone. Thank you again, Love, The Shipleys

We stayed in this lovely condo over-looking the ocean below, Oct. 18-25, 2006. Such a great place that we hated to leave it daily and only did so to visit our grand and great grandchildren. We drove all around the island, stopping to enjoy the beaches and look-outs. I can highly suggest that you go and have lunch at The White Shrimp Truck. (Pricey, but delicious!) The Luau at Paradise Cove was also good as well as Roy's Restaurant. A must is the Arizona Memorial. Regarding the lanai at the condo, be prepared to be on it most of the time to enjoy the view. SUNSETS ARE GORGEOUS! |

We stayed at this beautiful condo from 3-1-06 thru 5-31-06. We had a wonderful time. The mornings brought turtles, dolphins, whales, seals and even a couple of sharks, all from the lanai. This is a quiet side of the island so is great for relaxing. Honolulu and Waikiki are 45 min. away, but when you are from the mainland that is practically a nothing drive. The evenings brought the sunsets. Good to FANTASTIC! Again all from the lanai.
The building was well maintained. The people friendly and helpful.
We had a wonderful time and would definitely come back.

Everything you need for a great time was there...beach, sun, well appointed condo, and friendly people who make you feel at home. Didn't miss a sunset, or the people who blew conch shells at each one. If you look in the morning you'll see turtles, and occasionally dolphins on the horizon. Enjoy!

We had wonderful vacations in Makaha, your condominium has a marvelous view to the ocean (from laina), to the mountain...we sit on the laina to enjoy the sunset on Makaha beach, then at night the moonlight on the sea, sometimes we feel having "rich & famous" lifestyle...in this Paradise corner!
In the condo, every thing is clean and we just feel at home. Thank you so much for renting me your house in Makaha. We enjoy each minute, each second in Makaha. I traveled to North Shore, Dole plantation, Waimea Bay, Sunset Beach, then Kailua, Waimanalo, Sandy Beach, Hanauma Bay, Waikiki, Honolulu downtown, China town, Diamond Head crater, Manoa Falls...
We feel peace in Hawaii, people are so nice!

my husbnd and i stayed at this condo for our honeymoon and it was wonderful!! That area of Oahau is very quiet, the bedroom of the condo faces the beach and its wonderful at night hearing the ocean. The condo is really clean and we felt at home. The beach is nice, you can do some snorkeling right off the shore and near the rocks to the left of the condo. The beach is not crowded either which makes for a very relaxing experience. If you want to do any activities you will have to drive into Honolulu or Waikiki which is about 45 min depending on traffic. We went to Germains Luau and it was ok, 10 years ago i was in Maui and went to an awesome luau, germains was ok but didnt compare to the one in Maui, but from what i hear there are only a few luaus on oahau. Anyways, this condo is number one on my list i would def stay here again and suggest this place to anyone looking for a quiet relaxing stay in hawaii.

I had a very relaxing stay at this unit. The condo was very attractive and clean. I particularly enjoyed watching the sun set over the ocean from the lanai. Additionally, the administrative and security staff were very friendly and helpful. The ocean and beach are just steps away from the building.

You will be very happy here. The ocean crashing at your back door is enough to soothe anyone. Fully furnished condo. In the bedroom you will find a queen (firm) Beautyrest mattress, color T.V., DVD player and a full size dresser. All the bedding, linnen and towels are included. Beach towels and beach chairs are provided for your convenience. In the living room there's a double / queen sized futon couch / bed (the futon is definitely more comfortable than a sofa bed). There's a 27 inch color T.V. & DVD player in the living room and a small stereo that plays CD's and tapes. The kitchen is stocked with quality pots and pans, silverware and dinnerware. Items included in kitchen are a microwave, blender, automatic coffee pot (with auto shut off) and toaster. There's no reason to leave the condo unless you want to sight see around the Island. One of our favorite locations is Turtle Beach on the North Shore. You can swim and snorkel with the beautiful sea turtles all you want (just don't touch the turtles it's illegal). For teenagers there is a great shop called "North Shore Surf Shop" where you will find a local line of swim suits & great board shorts for both male and female. For fine dining go to Roy's. It's the best!!! Located on a Golf Course only 15 minutes from the condo. Paradise Cove has by far the best Luau on the island (also not far from the condo) near Roys. You could just sit on your lanai and watch sea turtles play in your own back yard day or night. You have the beach at your own back door, what more could you ask for? What ever your reason to visit you will feel like your at home away from home.
