My husband and I stayed at Elizabeth’s lovely house in the village of Saignon, Provence from November 1st 2005 to April 30th 2006.
We found it provided both English comfort and French ambiance in the spacious and well-appointed rooms. The house has four stories from street level to the roof deck and is right in the middle of the charming village of Saignon. The bakery, Chez Christine, is ten steps from the front door and has the best croissants in all of France. A few more paces down the main street and you will find the tiny restaurant, Le Baladin. Frederick and Stephan will feed you well.
The walk to the top of the rock in Saignon provides marvelous views from the Luberon down to the valley and beyond. At the foot of the hill is Apt, a town large enough to meet all your shopping needs. The Saturday market is wonderful. Saignon is not as touristy as some of the other more famous provencal villages but it is a central spot for touring the Luberon area.
We loved our stay in Saignon and will certainly return again.

It was SUCH FUN!!! A group of 8 girl friends all descended from various parts of the world, and we hired a couple of cars to explore the area over four or five days. Saignon itself is totally unspoilt and lovely sitting on top of a steep hill, and the house is nestled right in its heart, making a pre-supper stroll to gawp at the stunning views an absolute must! The house is simply but elegantly furnished, with comfortable beds, squishy sofas or roof terrace to spread out or curl up with a book, and a kitchen that evoked the creative instinct in us all in turn to cook up something fabulous each evening, with fresh food bought from the wonderful shops and market in Apt just down the road. Our last night, we ate out in a fabulously delicious restaurant in the village and were treated like royalty because we were staying in 'Elizabeth's House'. During the day, we explored/shopped/stayed put and drank far too much wine - and one day a group of us drove to the Carmargue and went horseback riding - an hilarious experience! Elizabeth has a real eye for casual elegance and I would recommend her lovely house in Saignon any time of year. A big thank you from us all!

Our family of six stayed at this property in June2006 and enjoyed both the property and the village of Saignon immensely.Elizabeth Parkers property was beautifully presented and immaculately clean. It was spacious , airy ,private and comfortable. Our four children enjoyed being able to explore the village whilst Caroline and I enjoyed the regional cycling. The staircases in this property are unavoidable so it is not for the very young or the very old.We would enjoy returning to this Saignon property. regards David Clarke

We consider ourselves most fortunate in having had the opportunity to spend a week in May ‘06, in this most beautiful Saignon home.
Where to start ?
The amenities are first class/5 stars, with everything as advertised being on hand. The description does not fully describe this spacious house, which is so beautifully decorated and appointed.
We stayed in other houses on this trip but none compared, or even came close to this.
The Village of Saignon is a story unto itself and there are so many close by places to go and things to see and do. The list is endless.
We wish we could have stayed much longer in this dream home, which we are pleased to highly recommend.
Elizabeth - you are to be commended on allowing visitors the experience of life in Saignon.
Best Regards
