We have a group of adult skiers/snowboarders that try to go on a trip each year. We like to stay together in one housing unit, which isn't always easy. In February 2009 we made our first visit to Big Sky, and it was one of our best trips ever. A lot of that was our accomodations. We had 11 adults, and the Firehouse was spacious, comfortable, beautifully decorated and very well-equiped. We have never had as much "elbow room" for such a large group, and the owners could not have been not have been more attentive and responsive. In addition, the location was great for us, not far from the shuttle and within walking distance of restaurants and equipment rental shops. Combine the accomodations with a great ski mountain and the location near Yellowstone and you have the setting for a perfect trip. We would have no trouble convincing our group to come back here for a repeat.

Thanks for a great stay at the Firehouse. The attention to detail and extra space made everything just perfect. The house is so comfortable and makes settling in to Montana life almost immediate. The loft is an especially great room for kids and gives them their own, very private, space. Looking forward to coming back soon. Jamie Ocean City, Maryland |

March 2007 - We had a fantastic time at the Firehouse. It accomodated our family easily, 7 kids, 2 adults. If the kids are pleased then you know it is good! Easy drive to Big Sky slopes, loved the open layout of the house - helped me to keep an eye on the younger ones while I cooked. Close to everything you will need. Rick was a gracious host and very responsive to our needs.

Enjoyed the Firehouse completely. We had a family reunion with people aged 6 months to 76 years and everyone felt comforatble with the home. We are looking forward to renting again. Rick was a pleasure to deal with and responded to every question we had in a timely manner.
Thanks

A group of 10 of my high school friends from MN gathered the summer of 2006 at this glorious home in Big Sky. We LOVED it, the quality of the home was amazing. It was decorated "first class", a true mountain decor and the top quality went down to the sheets, towels and kitchen appliances. The location was great to get to Yellowstone as well as close to Big Sky. We all left nurtured by the experience, plus we had tons of fun!

January, 2007 - Rick was a pleasure to deal with. This house was great for a group of 10 ageless baby-boomers. The main floor is spacious and accommodating. The upstairs bonus room allows for a separate TV viewing area complete with a “napping” sectional sofa. Compared to other 5/6 bedroom rentals in the past, this house was the most efficient. The house location is just a short drive when heading to the slopes, and convenient for travel to the surrounding areas such as snowmobiling in Yellowstone or in route to excellent meals such as those we found at Buck’s T-4 & Rainbow Ranch.

We had a great time in Big Sky staying at the Firehouse. It was a beautiful place and comfortably accomodated our large group. It was in a great location for our snowmobiling plans in Yellowstone and skiing at Big Sky. We are definitely planning many more trips out there and will stay at the Firehouse.

Great place! The Firehouse was perfect for our large group. We do a trip every year and this by far the best accomodations we've had for a group our size. Amenities were great, central location and VERY quiet. Rick was extremely responsive and helped make our trip a joy. My only regret in writing this is that everyone reading this will want to stay there!

Rick,
Just received the kids school schedule so we could reserve 'our' spot over Spring break. We had an fantastic time last Spring Break, the 'Firehouse' fit our group of five families perfectly. Great accommodations, awesome great room, nice bedrooms and enough bathrooms for all the ladies. The guys enjoyed the soak in hot tub (as did the ladies). The kitchen was great - we had some fantastic meals, furnishings were classy. The grill was convenient. Everything was perfect, can't think of a thing to improve on. Unfortunately, our week was booked. The kids are off from March 13-17. I told the other couples about our dilemma at the lake tonight and they are all disappointed. How early can we make reservations for next March? Call me if the house opens up!

We (4 adults, 8 kids) had a great New Years 2006 week at this home. The owner was a great communicator and was very fair in all dealings. The home was very clean/spacious and handled our group without a hitch. The loft is HUGE and tucked away from the living area and afforded an area where the kids could play and be loud without rocking the whole house. The house is 50 yards from the access road that takes you up the mountain to Big Sky and Moon Light Basin (about 12-15 minute drive in snow). If you ski, try Moon Light Basin as it has a very exclusive feel, no lines and a real bargain at only $40 per day. I highly recommend this house to all!
