I must admit I was hesitant to share my experience at 422 Captains Walk for fear it will affect availability but it wouldn't be fair not to share. We visited #422 the week of 7/25 and our family of 5 could not have been more pleased. The pictures can't convey how beautiful, welcoming, and comfortable this condo was for our family.
We were first time visitors to Hilton Head and our extended family all stayed at various condos in Captains Walk. The complex is right on a spacious, beautiful beach. The water was warm and the kids loved swimming and exploring for sea creatures in the tide pools at low tide. The pool was also a big hit especially in the evenings.
We visited several other condos in the complex and 422 was hands down the best. The condo was extremely clean and the amenities paralleled home, upscale appliances and a kitchen stocked with more than just the "vacation rental basics". The sectional sofa was incredibly comfortable and easily sat 6, although there was sometimes a fight for the chaise section : ) The bedrooms were spacious and beautifully decorated. All the beds were amazingly comfy and the full-size beds in the second bedroom were a huge bonus (and a rarity in other Captains Walk condos). All rooms had ceiling fans, the carpets and rugs were newer and very clean. The view from the balcony was amazing and I wish I had the balcony furniture for my deck.
Our only complaint for the week was it simply went too fast. The Hills were so wonderful to deal with and everything was super easy. We all can't wait for our next visit to 422 Captains Walk!

| What an incredible home away from home! We stayed at 422CW 6/6-6/13. We were blown away by the amenities and view as soon as we walked in the door. In fact, I emailed Sherry as soon as we got there to tell her how excited we were to be staying there. We have been to HHI many years and this is the best place we have ever stayed. The condo was very well appointed. You really can't get any closer to the ocean. If you like to sit on the balcony and watch storms over the ocean at night this is a great place to do it. We had storms 2 nights in a row. Also, the Captain's Walk complex was very quiet overall. Sherry is great to work with and always responds. I can't say enough good things about Sherry and her condo. We will definitely be back! |

| What a wonderful getaway! We stayed 4/10-4/18 and it was perfect. The photos on the website are just a sample of how beautiful the villa really is. Everything is well-maintained and worked out great for our family of four. The updated features are beautiful and the cozy linens and furniture make it feel like a home away from home. Sherry: Just returned from 422 Captains Walk for a week with my girlfriends and it was great!! This is the second time I have stayed in one of your villas and they are the best. I have been renting condos for about 20 years in Florida and HHI and I have never found one more comfortable and well equipped as yours.

We had a great week at 422 Capt's Walk 3/21 - 3/28. Your place is the best place we have stayed in and we have been coming to Hilton Head for over 20 years. Capt's Walk is the ideal complex because of its size, location, great beach and beautiful grounds and pool area. Your villa is as close to perfect as one could get. The view, the decor and nice upgrades are much appreciated - such as HDTV in the LR and flat screens in the BRs; comfortable King Bed in the Master and (2) Queens in the 2nd BR; leather sectional in the LR is outstanding; ceiling fans throughout. We hope to come back next Spring for two weeks this time.

| We (two couples) stayed for four days in March 2009. We totally agree with another review that everything is exactly as described. The villa is nicely appointed with all that you could want, whether it be kitchenware, linens, furniture, televisions or wireless internet. The ocean view is spectacular. The balcony is a great place for both morning coffee and evening social hour, watching beachcombers, listening to the surf and being entertained by dolphins swimming just off-shore. Our only regret was not spending a longer time here. We plan to remedy that next year. |

| This was our second visit and it just keeps getting better. We have been coming to Hilton Head for more that 20 years and we've stayed in condos all over the Island. You just can't do better than this. The ocean view is unbelievable - not obscured by trees like many other "oceanfront" places. It's comfortable, clean and the supporting service is outstanding. With four adults in the unit at the same time, at no time did we feel cramped. The balcony with the pub table height table and chairs is perfect for relaxing with a drink and watching the sunset.(the blender is perfect for crushed ice drinks) The beds were comfortable, none of that vacation backache you sometimes get on overused mattresses. You cannot get any closer to the beach on Hilton Head. The pool is clean and well cared for, just like everything else connected to this unit. I would recommend this unit to anyone who asks. |

| Our family enjoyed a fantastic week at Captain's Walk! It was our first visit to this condo and the accomodations were just as described online--- and actually even prettier than the photos. The location was terrific - very convenient to many restaurants & shopping centers - and yet still only a few steps to the beach or pool. With 3 young children in tow we found the condo to be very child-friendly and safe. The linens and comforters in both bedrooms were top-notch & stylish and the flat screen tv's were a nice extra. All of us enjoyed relaxing on the sprawling leather sectional and taking in the gorgeous views of the beach! We did have a small mixup about our check-in time, but it was handled with the utmost professionalism and completely resolved to our satisfaction. We will definitely rent this property (or the larger sister unit) on our next visit to Hilton Head!! |

| This was our family's third year at Captain's Walk. We consider it our "home away from home"! The condo is located right on the beach which makes it perfect for beach day fun, shell seeking, crab hunting. We are on the beach frequently with the kids and the fact that it steps away is awesome! When we're done with the beach for the day - we can go to the pool! Captain's Walk is located conveniently with dining, shopping, and bike rental nearby. Palmetto Dunes is very pretty with inlets and bike paths. The condo is open and spacious. There are great views of the ocean from the master bedroom and the living room. The boys love their room as much as we love the master - the softest beds we've ever slept in away from home! The kitchen is well stocked and the laundry is an essential. Everything is clean and efficient. Captain's Walk is a perfect retreat for our family - whether we are on the beach, relaxing on the veranda or altogether on the big sectional in the livingroom enjoying a dvd. Since we miss being there already, we'll have to start planning our next trip! |

This was the second time I have stayed in this lovely condo. I have stayed all over Palmetto Dunes, and Captains Walk and this particular condo is definitely the best!! The view is wonderful, even from the kitchen sink!
The beds are so comfortable and the leather grouping in the living room, my family loves. I don't want to stay anywhere but here when on Hilton Head.

This was our second stay at 422 Captain's Walk. It should have been our 3rd but it was already booked last year. This place is so nice and convenient (especially with kids!!!) that you need to book early!
This was our 5th year coming to Hilton Head. We tried 2 other condos and they do not even begin to compare in:

*Sherry's professionalism in making booking easy!!!

Based upon the previous comments of other guests and the photos, etc., we had fairly high expectations for this condo. And we are happy to say that the condo exceeded them without question. The view and proximity to the sea is better than the photos can capture. It is very tastefully decorated. It is very large. Our 2 1/2 year old was running laps from the living room to the back bedroom.
We biked all over the island and saw some of the nearby Palmetto Dunes condos that we had also considered renting (VillaMare, Barrington, etc.), and definitely think Captain's Walk is the better choice. Here's why: some of those other complexes look a little newer and may have a few more common amenities onsite, but they are much larger and most of the units don't have unobstructed ocean views, while at Captain's Walk EVERY unit has a wide open direct ocean view. In addition, Captain's Walk has a lot fewer units spread out over a larger area, and thus the beach in front of Captain's Walk is WAY less crowded than all the other condos and hotels. And the pool is very nice. It would be nice to have a fitness center, but there is a big public gym a five minute drive away that you can buy a day pass at for $10, and it's much better than any condo or hotel gym would be anyway.
I don't know about the other units in this complex, but it is an older complex, so some of them could be a little more run down, I don't know, but this one is not, it feels new and very modern, yet also cozy. Highly recommended. |

This was our third year to use this lovely villa which is most definitely ocean front. The complex is small and quiet and the villa is large. The beach is very wide, flat, and well maintained. The ocean view is remarkable.
The villa is well maintained, well appointed and CLEAN which is very refreshing. Each year we have found various upgrades - this year it was new flat screen TV's.

| This was our first time staying in this unit – it was wonderful. The unit is quiet, clean and very comfortable. The view is stunning – from the moment you walk in the door you can see the ocean. We ate every breakfast and lunch out on the balcony. We enjoyed watching the pelicans dive for their food. Being on the forth floor was a perfect viewing height- you could see up and down the beach a great distance. And we never heard the people staying above us or below us. The condo complex is not crowded nor was the beach area – and it only took minutes to get to the beach. The complex is also in a great location right on the main street going through Palmetto Dunes. While staying there we needed on extra pair of contacts sent from home overnight (lost a pair while riding the boogie board in the waves), I contacted the management company they said to have them sent there and they would call when they received them. They called us by 10:30 the next day – they were very nice and everything worked out well. I did a lot of research when picking a condo this year and I made a great choice – we would definitely return. |

This was our 3rd visit to this villa. We had yet another great week in this villa. This villa is always immaculate. The addition of the ceiling fans makes a tremendous difference. We've always enjoyed keeping the windows and door open so we can listen to the surf. Prior to the installation of the fans, it was a little stuffy and we had to run the AC. This time, we didn't have to turn the AC on at all. It was extremely comfortable while sleeping. Listening to the surf while sleeping is much better than the white sound machine we use at home and when traveling to other destinations.
As always, we're looking forward to our next visit to this villa which will be the first week of October. We always return home so refreshed and relaxed.
For those unfamiliar with Captain's Walk, there are a limited number of units. The result is it isn't packed with people. It's very easy to find the perfect spot of solitude on the beach. It's great for those of us who like to get away from heavily populated areas. |

We just wanted to let you know that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your condo! It had plenty of room for the kids to play and was so convenient. We both said we will be back to stay here next year. We would love the same week but we'll have two in school at this time next year so it'll have to be earlier in the summer.
You all have a lovely place. It was very neat, comfortable, and Brian loved sitting out on the balcony! I think he stayed out there the entire time except sleeping and being at the beach.
We did leave early due to the weather but the weather was perfect through Wednesday night. You can't ask for much more than that. (We didn't want to chance it with the kids.)
We thank you all again and look forward to staying at one of your condos in the future.

| For a first time VRBO user, this rental went smooth as silk. This condo was a perfect location for viewing/listening to the ocean from the balcony & master bdrm. You would not want to be lower as the palm trees would distort your view. The furnishings were lovely and comfortable and provided a much needed restful vacation. Many many thanks from all of us for the fantastic week we spent in your beautiful condo. I've never booked a vacation site unseen and I was somewhat leery until I spoke to you. You were so kind and caring and full of information and I felt a sense of trust with you right away. The pictures you have online, altho quite nice... does not do your condo justice. It's simply beautiful!
Like so many others, the leather wrap around sofa was a hit with my family. So very comfortable and we all gathered there every evening to spend even more time together. The kitchen was nicely stocked and we found everything we needed when cooking our meals. The master bedroom was wonderful.....loved the bed. The color of the walls was unique and quite becoming with bedspread and furnishings. Kids were very comfortable in the 2nd bedroom. Altho you had told me the bathrooms were not up to date as others have done, we found them to be quite efficient.
The grounds around the condo were so lush with the beautiful vegetation, flowers and gorgeous trees.
All in all I can't say enough good things about your condo.
Our only regret is that one of our sons could not join us this year as he and his new bride had used up their vacation time on their honeymoon in April.
We hope to bring the WHOLE family back again next year. I see that you also have a 3 bedroom....so that would accomodate us well.
There is so much more exploring we have to do on Hilton Head Island....we barely scratched the surface. My husband and I spent a day in Savannah in which we really enjoyed. We didn't make it to Charleston, but hope to in the future.
In the past, we have taken many vacations to Florida. This has Florida beat by far.
I want to thank you for everything! You made it possible for us to have a wonderful family vacation that none of us will ever forget!

| We have just returned from our week at Hilton Head in your fabulous condo. The built-in chaise and recliner were a big hit with my daughters-I claimed the separate recliner. My two grandchildren enjoyed playing on the SOFT berber carpeting. Although we had a vist from "Alberto", we spent that rainy day going to the movie and shopping for the grandkids' souvenirs. Just wanted to let you know how much Kent and I enjoyed your villa last week. It certainly met and exceeded our expectations. The furnishings were very upscale and extremely comfortable. The view was marvelous. It was much nicer than the villa we stayed in in the middle unit last November. It was nice not having the pool in view or within hearing distance. I was very impressed the minute I opened the glassware cabinet and found the martini glasses! It's not a martini without the correct stemware.

WOW! Thanks for everything. You did a great job with the condo. My parents, sister and husband were pleased. The view is awesome! I did rent a unit (3 bedroom) for myself, kids and hubby through an agency. Your unit made mine look like the slums! The attention to details was awesome and appreciated. To include books and an umbrella was SO thoughtful. And sending the keys so we wouldn't have to go through check in was VERY appreciated. If we were to come back, I would rent through you in a heart beat. Thanks so much.
