We had the priviledge to stay in this very nice condo Sept. 10 thru Sept. 14, 2009. We LOVED it! The location was wonderful, the condo was great, loved the decor and loved cooking in the kitchen. The master suite was great..we slept so good!! and the view...it was a God sent wonderful vacation. The beach was beautiful. The weather was great..a little rainy at first, but praise God for it! We enjoyed our stay so much! I love the sunrise walks and enjoyed the sunsets at Palm Street Pier...fun place to go if you want a night of entertainmnet and great food. The staff at Suntide II was very friendly and very informative on things to do/places to go. Thank you!! |

| We stayed in this beautiful condo June 8, 2008 - June 13, 2008. We were very impressed with the ocean view and the tasteful decor. We loved the fact that we could go down to the beach for a while, rinse off, then take a dip in the pool, then rest a while in the condo, and then repeat. :) We enjoyed several meals out on the balcony. The TV and DVD player entertained the children while we prepared meals. We were amazed that the pool, jacuzzi and sun deck never seemed crowded, even though this is peak season. We also noticed after walking the beach that the Suntide II complex has the most beautiful, soft, sandy beach area compared to many of the other complexes. We had hoped for a beach vacation in a beautifully furnished condo, with ocean views, where the whole family could relax and have fun. We were truly satisfied, and hope to return next year. |

Our visit almost coincided with Hurricane Dean, but luckily for us and Texas it decided to head further south.
We arrived Saturday, August 25th and stayed for three nights. When we first walked into the condo, our son and his friend (both 14) headed straight for the door leading to the deck. They were wowed, as we were! The owners are spot on stating the condo looks right over the Gulf of Mexico. And the beach access point just to the side of the complex has a wooden foot bridge over the sand depositing you right on the beach just about in the surf. There is a volleyball net set up right there in front of the complex on the sand...perfect for a quick game! The complex also offers complimentary boogey boards, which the boys used. The tennis court in on the street side of the complex on the second floor - allowing for covered parking just below which is great when it is hot or a great rain shower visits the island.
The 2nd floor unit itself is just like the pictures. A/C works great, kitchen is wonderful, living room furniture is comfortable, and the dining set seats more than enough. The master bedroom which has floor to ceiling windows lets in the glorious morning sun, making one feel so alive and ready to head out for a walk on the beach. And I am not a morning person myself! The second bedroom is spacious even with the two beds. Both bathrooms are newly tiled. Tile floors are perfect for a beach location; don't have to worry about sand too much, because sand will follow you no matter how hard you try to shake it! There are several outdoor shower areas on property so you can rinse the sand and salt water off before heading up to the condo.
Having the internet connection right in the condo was an added bonus for us. The boys both spent time on their myspace sites in the evenings, allowing us adults to relax.
The mid-island location on Gulf Blvd. was perfect. Blackbeard's, an island tradition is just up the road (Saturn is the name of the road).
Marcia (the owner) was great to work with. As was Aurora, the gal that works the desk.
Feel free to contact me with any questions. We will rent again.

| The condo was very nice. If anything, pictures understate the condo. View is great, plenty of space. Family atmosphere, but we went for spring break and had no gripes. Everything was within walking distance or a cheap cab ride. The owner was helpful with all questions we had leading up to our trip. |

Welcome to our "Island Retreat". My family has enjoyed South Padre Island since the early '80's. We are windsurfers, so we tend to visit in the Spring and Fall. We just bought this condo in December and updated it with a brand new kitchen, new furniture, fresh paint, moldings, and all new window treatments. We plan to add many more enhancements over the coming months and will keep you posted on progress. In the mean time, please feel free to put any comments you have after a visit here for future guests to see!
