We loved the house! It was really fun and close to downtown (or what passes for downtown). We loved being able to walk to Allen St. from the house. We will definitely keep you in mind for future vacations.

What a wonderful house. The Tombstone House exceeded our expectations. The house was very comfy & cozy. All the amenities needed for a relaxing vacation, beautifully landscaped and plenty of room. We spent a weekend here with friends of ours. A total of 10 people (6 of them kids) and there was plenty of room. I can't say much else except for we are all excited to have found this place & cannot wait to return.

We could not have been happier with our choice to stay in the Tombstone home. The house is charming, up-to-date and family friendly, with enough space for everyone. Thoughtful touches added to the pleasantness of our stay, especially the toys/games and kid books and the movies. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and the kids are ready to come back. Thank you so much for providing such a great alternative to a hotel.

I was very surprised to find a vintage home so well updated, pleasant to stay in and period to the time. This house has all the amenities to take your vacation to the most enjoyable of times. A classic western DVD collection for some history of the western times was greatly appreciated. The outdoor patio was a great place to read, visit around and barbeque at. The short walk uptown and pleaseant drive to Bisbee and surrounding area while staying away from the hustle and bustle was great.

We stayed at your wonderful home for my daughter's wedding that was held at the end of Allen Street in front of the Bird Cage Theater on February 29th. We used an 1880's theme, and the bride and the 10 attendants were all in period dress. The home was a clean, wonderful place to stay, and so much better than any hotel! It was perfect for our 1880's theme! It was so very conveniently located to our wedding site, and within walking distance to everything! The patio was wonderful for rest and relaxation, and the cactus garden was beautiful. We will certainly be back, and will heartily recommend Tombstone Home to our Illinois friends and family.

we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the home in Tombstone. The house was well kept, clean and furnished very nicely. The yard was a pleasure to sit in and relax. There were 5 adults in our "party" and we found we had plenty of room for everyone to have their own "space" when needed. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone wanting a relaxing, home away from home, during their vacation. We would definitely stay there again.

We had a lovely visit in your comfortable home. It was clean, roomy, and everything one would want while away from home. The kitchen has all the tools needed to cook what I wanted to cook. I appreciate that some items are provided, because I did not remember all I needed at the grocery store on the way in. We watched "Tombstone" the first night there and I read your books about Doc Holiday and Wyatt Earp. I gained a real appreciation for the history and the myths of the area. Again it's a wonderful place to unwind. Thank you.

PERFECT PERFECT PERFECT! I cannot tell you how perfect the home was. We spent my husbands 50th birthday and Christmas in this beautiful place. Everything was so convienent and amazingly clean. Our whole family fell in love with the home. We will certainly stay here again.

We want to thank you for letting us use your home. It was lovely and we had a wonderful stay. Once we recovered from our initial reaction to the stockade fence, and got inside, it was everything you advertised and then some. The location and the decor was clean, warm and wonderful. We had plenty of room. The accommodations were more than comfortable and we particularly enjoyed the selection of DVD's and books. We only wish the weather had been a little warmer and we could have availed ourselves of the kiva and BBQ. The off street parking bonus was much appreciated.
We mentioned your place to a couple of people we met in Tombstone and some of our friends in Sun Lakes. It is without a doubt the best place for a family or couple to stay in Tombstone.
We certainly enjoyed our stay.

The house was awesome. We enjoyed our stay so much we didn't want to leave. It reminded me of our house in Kansas. The pictures don't do the house any justice because it is so nicer than they look. We look forward to visiting again in the near future

My friends and I had a wonderful stay at the Tombstone Home. What a great way to get away from the city and relax. Beautiful settings, beautiful monsoon storms, and of course it is conveniently located. We enjoyed our trips into historic Tombstone and went down to Bisbee to do the mine tour. The house was so comfortable that we had already begun to call it home after our first day there. Thank you so much for this blessed experience!

What a quaint, and cozy home!! The pictures do not fully express the beauty and character of this home, nor the size. We were there for a week, with five adults and three kids, and were very comfortable. The owners thought of everything to help make the stay a, "home away from home" atmosphere. The AZ room, back patio and porch were ideal in making this home a relaxing and enjoyable retreat. The home was immaculate and the beds quite inviting after walking the town. We loved being walking distance from the town attractions, and 25 min. from the remarkable Kartchner Caverns and the historical town of Bisbee. I would highly recommend for those who are looking for a nice, clean, spacious rental close to the thrills of Tombstone.

What a GREAT house - our club truly enjoyed our stay - the only thing that could possibly make it any better would be a HOT TUB. Other than that, everything already thought of...

Thank you so much for opening your home to us. We look forward to speaking with you again and staying in this lovely, quaint home.

Thanks for the quick return of the deposit.. It almost beat us home...
We all can't thank you enough for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful home. It was absolutely perfect. We grilled out several times and had wonderful fires in the chiminea. Of course we all had to watch the movie Tombstone. The town of Tombstone itself was everything I could have hoped for. We all loved it. Made several day trips. Rode the motorcycles to beautiful Mt. Graham and of course to Old Tucson (also great fun).... Would love to come again some day and be able to stay in your home....Again, thanks for making it a perfect vacation...

This was a WONDERFUL place to stay! So much better than a hotel. My dad, a cowboy-at-heart since he was 8 years old was like a kid again in Tombstone. The house was perfect, well stocked, neat as a pin, and cute as a button! It was great to be able to "spread out". The photos don't do this house justice, but you can't capture "atmosphere" in a picture. When I go back, I will be staying here again!

What a wonderful place to stay in Tombstone. Myself and 5 of my girlfriends from school get together somewhere each year for a reunion and this year it was Tombstone. I found this house and viewed it online but it was even nicer that I had imagined. It is spotless and very nicely decorated. It was very close to Allen Street and in a very quiet neighborhood. The Dours' hospitality is unmatched. Anything you would ever need was there waiting for you. We were very impressed. Thank you sooooo much for the use of your Tombstone Home.

This home is the best best to stay in Tombstone! I loved being so close to the historic area that I could walk to everything in a few minutes. The house is spotlessly clean and has all the amenities anyone could want. It's also the perfect place to enjoy the morning or evening, with the wonderful gardens or just sitting on the beautiful patios. It's the perfect blend of comfort, history and convenience.
Thanks for making it a fabulous trip, and I can't wait to stay at one of your homes again.

What a fabulous vacation spot!!! It was such a pleasure staying in a historic home in the old west with all the modern amenities. Relaxing in a part of history was great and with a short walk you are walking the old boards on the streets on Tombstone and enjoying the charm of the old west. This rental location was also a great starting point for breath taking day trips to Chiricahua National Monument, Cochise's Stronghold, Ramsey Canyon, Bisbee, Sierra Vista, Mexico and too many to mention. What a wonderful vacation spot, just wish we had more time to spend!! The Dour's made our stay in their rental a fantastic experience, looking forward to spending time in one of their cabins in Garyling, MI

Just a note to let you know what a wonderful time we had as guests in your beautiful home! Although we have been to Tombstone several times, and the shops get a little boring, this was our best trip ever. We didn't feel like we had to be "out on the town" - we had a wonderful home to go to that was soooo relaxing! We weren't "holed up" in a dingy motel room! To anyone that reads this, if you are planning a trip to the "town too tough to die," this home is the ONLY place to stay! We have already reserved the house for next year's "Memorial Day/Birthday" weekend! Thank you Ellen for all your prompt responses and your generosity and kindness. It was a wonderful experience!

This is a charming historic home, spacious, light filled and comfortable. There are lots of rooms to spread out and porches for sitting and reading. The yard is enclosed and private with lots of greenery and birds coming by the feeders. We parked the car and walked everywhere, the location is close to restaurants and the historic district. The house has been updated while lovingly preserving it's character. You will love staying here!

If you are looking for spacious and well appointed comfort in the heart of Tombstone then look no further! We were very happy to see that what we saw on the website was what we actually got...but the website cannot convey how charming this house is. Not only that, it cannot show just how close the town is to the home. Turn the corner and old town is right in front of you...how great!
My family of four (2 adults and 2 children), my father and stepmother all stayed here in comfort. The porch was great to grab a cup of coffee and wake up to the birds in the yard. In the evening we had a fire in the chiminea (we left some wood!) and the kids roasted marshmallows.
Ellen and Pat, you were a pleasure to deal with and your house is a treasure! I whole heartedly recommend this lovely house! We'll be back!

In spite of the home's apparent great age, the "House that was Too Tough to Die" insulated us from the cold as well as providing certain modern amenities
We found everything in working and sanitary condition and thank you for the cleanliness and conveniences.
I especially aappreciate the "tack" decor on the walls. You are to be commended for the lavish use of leather as well as authentic western replicas and genuine articlles, instead of the far more common, cheaper decor.
There will certainly be a place for accommodations like yours that match perfectly with historic settings for many decades.
You are doing a great job and provide good value for our tourism dollar at the same time.

We were SO happy with the house. Everything was PERFECT! It really made our trip and we are rebooking a year in advance. The photos don't begin to discribe the quaintness of this house. It was more spacious than it looked in the photos. Everything was absolutely immaculate. Fully stocked kitchen! We didn't dine out but cooked all our meals for the whole group. Had a great BBQ the first night. WHat a great place!

We had a wonderful time while in the comfortable setting of this quaint, but well kept and furnished home. The completely enclosed yard and home makes it feel like you're in your own little paradise. The location and proximity to the main sights on Allen Stree(3 blocks) is very convenient. To anyone who is going to visit tombstone, I recommend this home as everything you need is provided by the Dours. They are extremely accomodating and quick to respond to any questions you may have, as well as prompt in returning any deposits made. We also recommend a visit to Bisbee and definitely take the mine tour while there. All in all we had a great time there. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Dour
