I had the pleasure of staying at this charming well maintained cottage on Whidbey Island the first week of May, 2008. And let me tell you it was a delight. The Whidbey cottage is a well built, well stocked & designed cabin.
I went there with my dearest friend Allen, a designer, & my partner Nikee, a job super-intendent in construction, & they both couldn't stop raving about how well made & designed the cottage was. Me, I'm a feeler, as well as a cook & let me tell ya the first thing you feel is the love that went into this place, not to mention the great kitchen & all it's useful appliances & utensils. Which one cannot always find at other vacation rentals.
Whidbey Cottage is a charming place where one can go to rest & restore. And Whidbey island is a great destination to visit, from one end of the island to the next, but if you never even left the cabin you'd still have a great vacation for the place is packed with ambience, a great view, boardgames for the kids, TV & DVD's & comfy beds.
I look forward to visiting again & would highly reccomend it to either individuals looking to get away & relax & maybe have a romantic vacation or families looking to vacation together. It would meet even the most discriminating vactioners needs as the owners have thought of everything in providing for this place. So, many thanks to Heather & Steven Anderson for letting us stay at your little dream cottage...

| Our second time at your cottage and both times so enjoyed the peace and quiet of the area. The deer that cruised around and the handy location to Eby's Landing and Coupeville. We will definitely be back again. Thank you ..from us and the pups. |

Heather,
A quick note to say "Thank you" and to let you know that we really enjoyed our stay. The weather was amazing and we were able to enjoy the much needed rest and relaxation. Your house was beautiful and just what we were looking for. To put it simply, it was perfect.
We're already looking forward to coming back to walk the beautiful beaches & view the amazing sunsets.
Thanks again!

Steve and Heather, thanks so much for donating your cabin to the quest auction. We had a great time. Your cabin was meticulous! We had access to everything we could have possibly needed. You've thought of everything. It was so peaceful and quiet, and just the perfect break we all needed. We will certainly sing your praises to friends and family. Thanks again, Michelle Hubble |

Heather and Steve,
I have stayed in many cabins over the years, and this one is the best! The community beach and quiet surroundings are fantastic. Your cabin is first rate. Clean, very comfortable, not to mention the extremely well equipped kitchen. Perfect for families, or a romantic getaway. Will be back. |

| What a neat place! We've now rented 5 or more different cottages around Whidbey, and this is certainly one of the nicest, for adults and kids alike. Wonderful construction, design, furnishings (far nicer than my own home, frankly), great loft with 3 comfy, single beds for kids (2 can be used for adults easily), beautiful bedroom, high-end kitchen, washer/dryer/dishwasher, indoor entertainment in the form of an array of games as well as total TV/DVD/CD/VHS set-up (for bad weather, fussy kids, and/or sports-fan parents). Outdoors, there is a pleasant path down to the water -- where you find a grassy park, swing set, and beach to explore. Easy access to Coupeville and Ft. Casey. We brought our 4 and near-2 year old here, and all was good. A great deal! |

| Our first annual ladies weekend was absolutely perfect! While eating in Coupeville, shopping in Port Townsend and hiking in Deception Pass State Park were amazing, the best times were spent at the cottage, laughing, playing games, drinking coffee and enjoying each others company in the quiet Shangri La neighborhood. Our walks on the beach were so relaxing and watching the sun and moon rise from the big windows was spectacular. More than a few of us will be bringing the rest of our families back before we reschedule next year's ladies retreat! |

My family just had one of the most relaxing vacations, staying at your cabin. We all enjoyed waking up to deer meandering pass the front window, sipping lattes on the balcony while watching the clouds lift from the bay. The boys couldn't wait to scramble down the path to the beach and dock below. There, they caught crabs along the shore and played on the swings in the park-like setting. We all witnessed a salmon and a dungeness crab caught from the dock. At night, we barbequed at the beach with a nice fire next to the huge picnic table provided. The next day we drove into the quaint village of Coupville, known for their Penn Cove Mussels. Our timming was perfect, the Annual Street Festival was in full swing. After some good eats and snowcones, it was off to Fort Casey State Park. The boys had fun running through the well maintained historical artillery post. Thanks for providing us with a vacation memory that will last us a long, long time. We are looking forward to returning!

| A perfect Northwest week-end get-a-way. Awesome cabin in a very nice location, close to beach and short, scenic drive into Coupeville (nice historic town with good restaurants) The cabin has everything you would need for a no-hassle, good time. In short: Highly recommended! |

We had a great time at your cottage! It was the perfect weekend getaway for us to escape our hectic schedules and walk on the beach without having to catch a flight or drive for hours. It's central island location facilitated our Whidbey Island explorations, and all the amenities you've provided made it easy to relax and feel at home. Thanks for sharing your cottage with us... We'd definitely like to come back again!

Thank you so very much for the use of the cottage, it's wonderful!! The view from your deck, 5:45 Easter morning, was very moving...watching the sun rise, the colors turn from orange to full light, was magical...Enjoy the bottle of wine we left for you...
