My partner and I rented the first floor of the Sandpiper with two straight friends who were celebrating their 30th anniversary. (Amateurs - we have 33). I'd stayed at this place in 1975 when it was a rooming house. WOW! What a change! Elegance throughout. The sliding pocket doors of Victorian vintage, the unique antique pieces strategically placed to revive the old sea captain's home feel, made this home-away-from-home one of the most relaxing vacations we've had - and we are in the travel industry. (No, this was not a comp!)
The comfortable beds, the Irish linens, the Cape Cod scented soaps were appreciated details. And, of course, the NY Times delivered to the door every morning to enjoy with that steaming cup of coffee was great.
The views of sunrises and sunsets, clam diggers wading past in the surf, the cries of gulls and other birds were enhanced by the warmth of "our" home. (I never had the feeling that this was someone else's home.)
Since it was off-season (November 1-8, 2008) the town was quiet. But there were still a lot of shops open - and number of great sales. Some wonderful restaurants were packed nightly requiring reservations - and Spiritus Pizza, after all these years, was still serving some of the best Pizza you'll ever eat. They even had an Obama special after the election - Hawaiian style.
We brought a couple cases of fine wines from our own collection with us (though there are several wine shops in P-Town) and we cooked many meals at the house. Even though it was November, we enjoyed several lunches on the deck overlooking the bay.
We went to Wellfleet and found what was probably the last lobster pound open for the season and we bought four 2.5 pound lobsters that we devoured back at the house.
We visited local lighthouses, beaches, commercial piers and art galleries. The winery in Truro is definitely worth a visit.
Now, I can't get "Old Cape Cod" out of my mind.

We stayed from April 26 - May 7, 2008. The only words I can think of to describe the experience are AMAZING PERFECTION!!!! The quality of everything was beyond exquisite. The owners, Brad and Michael, went over and above in making sure everything was satisfactory.
This was our first trip to Provincetown and I knew little about the area. However, the location of the home is central to absolutely everything. I do not believe I could have hand picked a better location!
In the future when I travel to Provincetown the only place I intend to stay is the Main Floor of the Sandpiper. There simply is nowhere better in terms of location, amenities, scenery and views.
Brad and Michael have done it up right and their hard work, effort and attention to detail has made a desirable and ideal vacation location into a perfect destination.
If you are going to visit Provincetown, do not turn down a chance to stay at the Sandpiper. I can promise it will be a vacation of a lifetime!!

We've been going to Provincetown for 11 years and this was undoubtedly the best time we've ever had. Being able to relax in your home made all the difference. The location is perfect, the view is spectacular, but the warmth of the home you have created is what is so special.
We are so happy to have found your Sandpiper at 165 and thank you for making it so special. We were so sad to leave on Saturday.
We're not wishing time away, but we are already looking forward to next year. |

| We stayed at the Sandpiper in November of 2006 and it was extraordinary. It has beautiful and comfortable rooms and a well equipped kitchen with a spectacular view of the rising sun. Then, of course, there is the huge deck. There were four of us and it was a perfect place to enjoy Provincetown. Brad and Michael were also attentive in terms of making sure everything was perfect. We'll be back. |

| Gracious, comfortable, tasteful, and completely equipped...the Sandpiper could not have been more perfect. I realized on the third day of our stay how at ease I was, for example, making breakfast in the kitchen. It just felt like home. Clearly, the place just works and lives beautifully. Oh, that view! Picture sitting in a luxury suite onboard a ship, watching the changing sky and bay and you have a sense of how it was. Thank you, Brad and Michael, for making the Sandpiper available. It truly is the best place in Provincetown to stay. |

| I stayed at Brad and Michael's wonderful home at the perfect time -- early fall. The unit itself is just beautiful, but nothing beats the amazing deck and its views! Brad and Michael are wonderful "virtual hosts," providing everything you need for your stay (even the morning NY Times and a Sunday delivery of breakfast goodies!). Thank you both so much. |

When you visit P-Town, there is no question that this is the best house for location and comfort. Whether we were on the front porch people watching, or on the back deck sunning over the bay, we felt so relaxed. And thats not to mention all the amenities the home has to offer and which allowed us to catch up with friends rather than worry about other things. Thanks Michael and Brad.

| I wanted to tell you how wonderful it was to stay in your lovely home in P-Town. I enjoyed meeting you both and thanks again Michael for picking us all up at the dock. We all had such a great time and have all expressed an interest in a return trip (assuming you will have us :) |

| We were tempted to spend the entire week indoors in this beautifully furnished house with the fabulous view of water out the window. We ended up getting take out food, because the deck was the loveliest place in town to eat. What an ideal combination of a lovely home right on the beach, located in the center of town! |

| From June 11 - 18, we spend a wonderful week at the Sandpiper. The house is just lovely and the location is grand! The view from the deck out onto the Bay is spectacular! And our group spent countless hours sitting on the front porch, watching the parade of folks going by. The on-site property manager Tom is a delightful person and the welcome basket of muffins and cookies was an unexpected treat. All in all, we had a great time and are very much hoping to repeat the trip in 2006! Thanks Brad and Michael - thanks so very much! |

Our family spent a wonderful week in May 2005 at the Sandpiper Beach House despite inclement weather. We enjoyed the spectacular water views, the refined decoration of the apartment, the large and well-appointed kitchen/dining area, and the convenience of a huge and comfortable deck. We also appreciated the apartment’s central location and all its amenities (especially wireless Internet access). This condo provides all the ingredients for a very special vacation. Thank you Brad and Michael for the special welcoming gift! |

Homeowner Response:
We are so glad you enjoyed our home. We know just how you feel. In February we spent a full week during a snowstorm -- fully content to stay indoors and mesmerized by the views over the water!

We spent an unforgettable week in what is definitely Provincetown's best vacation rental. The location is right in the middle of town - and those views are hypnotic! We never seemed to stop staring out over the water. Tom, the porter who lives in the basement, made us feel very welcome. We're definitely back next year!" C. Mertz, Dallas, TX

| We spent last August (2004)at the main floor apartment. It is by far the nicest, most luxurious and best appointed condo. in Provincetown. Rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated, dining room and kitchen are big enough to throw great dinner parties. The terrace facing the water is spectacular. And the front porch is a riot - allowing you to watch all the action! |
