Aloha! We had a great time. Got to do so much! Overnight trip to Hana, drove the "goat path" up north, plenty of snorkeling on several different beaches, saw lots of whales, relaxed! We enjoyed the location and views. I found your dad's interesting and entertaining books on the shelf ... thanks! What nice neighbors! You will return to your home in Hawaii today after we leave. Thanks for sharing your wonderful place and for being so accommodating. We enjoyed our trip and hate to go back to the frigid winter in Ohio. We got to experience the high winds that gave the local schools the day off. The waves sure pounded outside the lanai! Great fishing our first day. We had mahi mahi and tuna all week long. Aloha! Wow! What a "pleasant Hawaiian holiday" we had! Came to Maui to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary (Dec. 9) and the whole week was unforgettable. We saw one whale for sure over towards Lana'i (thanks so much for having binoculars here, Lani!). Exciting!!! We also saw several turtles and surfers from the lanai here. Love this place! We enjoyed the sunsets, Lahaina, swap meet in Kahului, drove to Haleakala for sunset(!), drove road to Hana, went to lavender farm in Kula Ali'i Kula Lavender, drove to Kihei, drove the NW Maui coast, and more! Dinner at Mama's Fish House for our anniversary. Pricey but excellent!

Words can't capture the beauty that can be experienced from your special place. Thank you for sharing this slice of heaven! To those who are patient -- whales, turtles and fish do not disappoint one's morning coffee on the lanai. Your place and suggestions for good eating and sightseeing were appreciated. Cozy set-up with everything one needs. Maui will always be a special memory as we enjoyed our honeymoon 30 years ago at the Royal Kahana. Your place made this trip back that much more special. For those not sure about hitting the road to Haleakala at 4 a.m.: Take the trip to see the sunrise. It's the views prior to the sun making its appearance that is most beautiful. The drive back in daylight is an experience not to miss. If you travel Hwy. 37 to Kula, a stop at Grandma's Coffee House is a special treat if you like local gathering places. Thanks! Mahalo!

***** 5-star location!!! Moon sets just as stunning as sunsets! We were a bit concerned about not having AC ... but we slept with the lanai doors open every night (nothing to fear!) and realized we would never have heard the crashing waves otherwise. (Now our only concern is being able to sleep without the waves lulling us to sleep!!) Kapalua beach 5 minutes away great for a.m. relaxation and Kahana beach right next door for a quick dip before showering and going out to dinner ... our stay was really wonderful! Mahalao!

Wow! What a fantastic location for our first visit to Maui! We arrived in the dark on our first day so to wake up the next morning to that most beautiful view over the ocean from the lanai was just perfect! We've explored a lot of the island, had a wonderful visit up to Haleakala to watch a fantastic sunrise! Just stunning! and well worth getting up at 2:30 a.m. for. Went snorkeling at a few locations, one being a trip to Molokai with the Boss Frog's. The staff were very friendly and made the trip fun for all. The fish and coral were amazing! Today, 18th August, also snorkeled at Black Rock and was so privileged to see a green turtle and a ray. Wow, they really made my day! We visited Hana also and yes, the road really is something! haha, but the drive was well worth it to see the fantastic views, waterfalls, pools and a trip down a lava tube. Maui really is the most wonderful place. Thank you, thank you for sharing this fantastic place with us. Just perfect for our 25th wedding anniversary vacation!

Can't imagine a more perfect spot and beautiful setting to celebrate 10 years of marriage. Thanks so much for sharing this slice of paradise. Picturesque sunsets every night, scenic drives along the coast, swimming and snorkeling made for a simultaneously exciting and relaxing time. Haleakala Crater was spectacular, the road to Hana is loaded with hidden gems off the beaten path. Helicopter ride is a must! The condo is beautiful and comfortable. We had a wonderful stay in West Maui! We absolutely loved the condo! Great location, comforts of home, and what an amazing view. Sunsets were great every day. Must do's: Road to Hana, Haleakala sunrise, Honolua Bay snorkeling, Warren & Annabelle's Dinner/Magic Show in Lahaina, Maui Ocean Center, Four Winds II to Molokini. We also enjoyed the Bailey House Museum after Iao Valley as well as the Sugar Museum. The Craig Henderson CD's for the drive up Haleakala and the Road to Hana are great! With all we did, it's amazing we had time to just sit and enjoy the condo, the beach, and the magnificent views, but we did. Mahalo! We will be back again! P.S. If you like Mexican food, check out Cilantro in Lahaina!

This was our second week in Hawaii. Our first was on Oahu; today we leave for the Big Island until Friday (four nights). I agree with all other visitors to this beautiful bungalow condo: great view, ocean waves at night, super convenient, etc. Advice: read the little book about Lahaina Royal History, try to locate buried historical sites, drive Hwy 340 but don't be in a hurry, go to Moose McGilliddy's and sit by the railing and people watch. Thank you, Lani, for advertising on vrbo. We loved our stay here!

Enjoyed our honeymoon beyond words! Only 2 days of vog; the rest of our stay was awesome. We swam with turtles at Honolua Bay. The snorkel trip to Molokini was wonderful. If you go, be sure to take the Four Winds II. Be sure to try the Aloha Mixed Plate in Lahaina as well as the Hula Grill, Maui Brewing Company and Kimo's on Front Street. We were engaged last May at sunrise on top of Haleakala and watched the sun come up this time as a married couple. If you haven't done it - do it! The place here was even better than we expected. The location and being able to listen to the waves at night made it for us. Mahalo nui for your hospitality! Aloha!

Your condo is absolutely Amazing!! the view is spectacular... not to mention how comfortable you have made our stay. Love how you have decorated and all the extras that we have here to make it feel like home is unbelievable. Must admit that we are already thinking about when we can return, we really appreciate all of the little tips you gave us. No worries we are taking the best care of your little palace with the most consideration and respect. Nothing more tranquill then MAUI. We found this whole experience to be so memorable. Palm trees, whales and the sunshine is going to make it rather upsetting to leave on Monday. But as you know the 2010 Olympics is coming to Vancouver; hopefully we can escape back to this Amazing island. Every day we sat out on the lanai and watched the whales. It is peaceful and very quiet here. Another fav of ours was to walk along the sandy beach every morning. We ate at many restaurants including Lahaina Coolers, Bubba Gumps, Hula Grill, Leilani's, Rusty Harpoon and Sansei. ALL were great. Things are NOT cheap around here, so having a kitchen and fridge was great! The whale watching was amazing! We highly recommend it! We hope to come back next year.

Our week was spent mostly relaxing, which is how I love spending my vacations. Since we've been to Maui before, we enjoyed many of Maui's attractions in the past. However, this trip we went to the summit of Haleakala to witness an AMAZING sunrise! This is a definite "must do." It was hard getting up so early, but worth it. (In case you go, it took us almost two hours to reach summit. Get there by 6:30, sunrise was around 7:00, but call to get weather and sunrise time.) Whale watching from lanai or any beach was great. Played Trivial Pursuit in evenings ... if you don't know the answer, guess the Kennedy's or Muhammad Ali! (haha!) Had great times, views, food, and rest. Thanks!

We explored most of Maui, and Kahana was one of the nicer spots ... kind of out of the way, not too many high rises, which was nice. You definitely are as close to the ocean as you can get! Went to Halloween in Lahaina ... crazy but fun! Taking the taxi for $25 is the only way to go! The Maui Revealed book is a definite must read.

Thank you so much for opening your home to us. This was the perfect spot for our honeymoon. The view was wonderful and the sound of the ocean right outside was awesome. Thanks for your tips and suggesting "Maui Revealed" ... It helped a lot. We loved:
- surfing - private lessons at Goofy Foot Surf School
- Mama's Fish House & David Paul's (expensive but out-of-this-world)
- Zipline & Eco Adventures
- rent snorkel gear from Maui Dive Shop and snorkel at Honolua Bay ... we swam with multiple turtles and the coral was incredible (Maui Dive Shop is by McDonald's) ... *don't pay for a charter trip; you have more fun going alone and it's cheaper!
We did a lot of stuff and saw a lot of things. We had a wonderful time and hate to leave. This was a perfect honeymoon and a great first Maui experience. Thank you!

Wow! My first time in Maui, in Hawaii. We love the condo. Every night on the lanai with our coffee watching the sunset. Listening to the ocean. Mornings on the lanai are peaceful, serene. We forgot to write in your book before we departed Maui on the 23rd. We wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay in your wonderful home in Hawaii! The condo was very nice and well kept, and what a BEAUTIFUL & BREATH-TAKING view. We just love to sleep with the sound of the ocean, and you just can't get much closer than we were! It was very convenient to have a parking spot right in front of the door. It was our 3 yr. old daughter's first trip to Hawaii with us, and I think she fell in love with it just as we love it!
We traveled to Kauai from Maui. Paul's father invited us to stay with him and his wife at a house they have rented for a month in Princeville. It was a very beautiful home, but we found ourselves missing the LaniMaui condo!

We had a great time in Hawaii! A week on Kauai and nearly a week at LaniMaui ... everything fantastic! Highlights were the seafood (lunch at the new rooftop dining room at the Lahaina Store Front) and the history of Lahaina. I appreciated all of the information books you left in the room ... it made the strolls through Lahaina more memorable. We also enjoyed the snorkel/whale watch trip to Molokini. The Four Winds II out of Maalaea provided great service (they'll give you a 15% discount, if you ask ...). Time to go home ... We'll definitely miss the view, whales, sun, fun and food! Thank you! Wow, what a great view! Didn't see whales or turtles, unfortunately had too much wind. The first night, even with the blind closed, we ended up with 1-1/2" of sand and rocks on the lanai because of the ocean splash! Loved the Gazebo restaurant and the Plantation House. Our first 3 days on Maui were spent here at LaniMaui ... We had never been north of Kaanapali, so we wanted to check it out. As I searched the possible places to stay on the internet, I just kept coming back to this place. There seemed to be something special about it ... and there really is! A great little corner spot, and you just can't get any closer to the water without being on it! Loved the beach a few steps away ... made good use of the beautiful pool across the street to swim laps in, as well. Favorite place, tho, was the lanai ... especially sitting out there for breakfast, and then being graced with the most beautiful rainbow ever ... Looked like it stretched from Molokai to Lanai!
Appreciated all the tips, Lani, of things to do and places to go up there ... Found a couple of the good snorkel beaches and took the drive around the north end. One nice surprise was finding Hula Pie at Leilani's in Kaanapali (had discovered it at Dukes in Kauai a couple of years ago). Thanks again, Lani, for sharing your corner of paradise! God bless!

What a fantastic week! This was the perfect place to stay. So comfortable and the view was priceless. Watching the moon cascade across the water with that palm tree overhanging was a work of art! I wish I could paint that! Everything was perfect all week except the last day we ate at Aloha Mixed Plate on Front Street. The food was cold and horrible -- don't eat there! We did a lot of things in the Maui Revealed book, and all the views were breathtaking ... then we came back to this condo and again the view is breathtaking. This truly was the perfect vacation. Thank you SO much! (This was our 30th anniversary!)

What an amazing place to stay! So close to the water, you can almost feel it! The sun rising and setting is so beautiful. Hearing the waves crash against the shore is so relaxing and peaceful. Because the beds were so comfortable, it wasn't any trouble to fall asleep. THANKS!

What a view! Sunrise and sunset is just breathtaking! The location is just perfect ... easy access to many beautiful beaches. The condo is clean and cozy ... the place is perfect! Next time when I visit Maui, I will surely be back here again!

After driving up and down Highway 30 and seeing all the huge resort hotels, Steve and I know that we made the right decision. How wonderful it is to be able to live at one's own pace, and not have to keep up with everyone around you. I am always nervous booking anywhere "sight unseen," but what a joy it was to walk into your little piece of paradise! Very tastefully decorated and we spent more time in the bathroom than normal because of the wonderful map of the Hawaiian Islands! We had to go out and buy one for our home. Mahalo for two wonderful weeks! Aloha!
P.S. We beat the last couple by 10 years. It was our 35th anniversary! Hang loose!

This was a long dreamed of trip and it was "NO KAOI!" The condo is in a terrific location for beaching and sunset watching. Enjoyed the Lahaina Friday night events and saw all sides of the island ... west, east, and upcountry. Great place to stay and very well-equipped. Mahalo!

Well, it was the hottest it's been in Hawaii in 400 years (they say) ... We had tropical storms that made it hot and humid! The weather got better, though, and we adjusted. Otherwise, the view is amazing and we had a great time!! Thanks!

High spots -- (lots of these) --the view, the sunsets, a drink on the lanai ... helicopter ride over Haleakala, Ulalena, Feast at Lele, the food at the Sea House, Mama's Fish House and the turtle who swam back and forth the last two days ...
Low spots -- 3 days when the sea stormed onto the lanai! Cold food at th Fish & Game Restaurant, and the arrogant female owner!
All in all, a lovely trip ... sharing time with Lani's parents made it even more special ...

Aahhh ... Maui sunsets right off our lanai, gentle lapping surf to ease us to sleep, views of the ocean and Molokai that are out of this world! Jeremy and I noticed that with the ocean this close to the room, it almost feels like we're on a boat! It's perfect! Thank you! (We'll be back!)
