| My wife and I had the vacation of a lifetime at this wonderful camp right on Cobscook Bay. The house is perfect, with views from every window, magnificent fireplace, and the atmosphere of the way camps in Maine should be. Free from the distractions of contemporary living, you have the chance to really relax and begin to experience the abundance of nature that lives in this bay. The 2 sea kayaks are a big plus, as well as the seals, the eagles, the hummingbird, etc. We can’t wait to return to this slice of paradise. |

I have been meaning to write to say that we had a very pleasant two weeks at the Pembroke cabin. We live in a small paradise in northern Vermont and it can be difficult to find a place as quiet and peaceful as our own home to spend our vacation. Your place on Cobscook Bay was perfect. We feasted on the view and Betty's crab meat just down the road. thanks so much, Don Avery

Thanks again for a wonderful week at your beautiful cottage, Tom. It really is one of the most spectacular locations for a week of rest and relaxation that we have seen. Kayaking in the bay with the seals, reading on the deck, and walking the surrounding woods were all highlights. And the local seafood was outstanding! We came home feeling refreshed and rejeuvenated, and we look forward to vacationing at your cabin for many more summers ahead.

| When we arrive at the cottage this August, it will be our 5th time staying here - we love the peace, privacy, beauty, and easily available fresh bread and seafood. Our dogs seem to enjoy the week as much as we do! It's just what I need to wind down before returning to teach High School in the Fall.Thank You! |

Tom, Our week was fantastic. Yes we saw the beautiful full moon and its refection on the water. Your house was just the place we needed to relax for a week. Truly secluded and peaceful. Exploring the beach with our dogs was fun we even saw a seal popping its head up to take a look at us. We enjoyed watching the fishing boats. Incredible views, great weather, you have a wonderful place. The area was fantastic we went "lighthouse hunting" and struck gold. We'd love to know more of the history of your cottage. We'll be back again, hopefully soon. Thanks Again, Jim and June Luck Virginia Beach VA |

Subject: re: a week at the Sheehan/Collins cottage
Hi - This is a belated note just to let you know how much we enjoyed staying at the cottage. I guess that the temperatures down in our area (the North Shore of Massachusetts) were in the high 90's all week that week, but we were blissfully unaware as we had no radio, newspapers, or other contact with the "outside world", and we were more than adequately cooled by the breezes off of Cobscook Bay.
Since our greyhound was recovering from her chemo, we took only short excursions, but we very much enjoyed hiking around the new state park in Eastport, going for a schooner sail, kayaking with a curious seal, doing some fishing, and visiting the crafts booths at the Machias Blueberry Festival. Mostly, we did puzzles, family games, and TONS of reading and eating!
We would indeed be interested in renting the cottage again next year, most likely for the same week if it becomes available. Perhaps you could let us know. Thanks again - Amy

Hi Tom
We got back last night from a wonderful week in Pembroke. The setting could not have been better, we got lucky and saw a family of bald eagles our first night!
The people from Tidal Trails were great, we had a fantastic kayak tour Friday evening and it really ended our week on a high note. Thanks again.

Tom, We had a great week at your cottage. We loved the area and really enjoyed its peacefulness and beauty. We loved the views from the cottage and exploring your beach. We made day trips to Machias Seal Island and Campobello and went sea fishing and kayaking with Tidal Trails. All in all, a very good week. We hope to return to downeast Maine again. Regards, Clare Yerburgh

Tom,
We have been meaning to send you a thank you note. The week was wonderful. We saw a few bald eagles and seals off the porch. The dogs went swimming everyday. It was the most relaxing vacation we'd ever spent. And to think that something off the internet was exactly what it was promised to be! We've already passed the word on to my father and some of our friends about the house. Our only regret was that we didn't bring our canoe with us. Maybe another time. You have a wonderful spot up there. Thank you for sharing it with us. Deb and Kurt

Hi. I was just going through some old email, and came across your name. I thought I'd take this moment to thank you for the wonderful experience Steve and I had renting your cottage last August. We loved sitting on the porch, or on the large rocks , waiting for the seals to pop up. I just adored shelling at low tide with our dog running happily over the exposed sea floor, and the swimming was breathtaking (sometimes literally, because of the temperature.) Steve and I took several wonderful scooter trips to points north, including Canada, and were just blown away by the beauty of the area. I don't know if we'll make it to Maine again this year, but I just wanted to thank you for the opportunity to stay at your wonderful, atmospheric house on the sea, and hope that we can do it again sometime. With best wishes, Patricia Caya

The week was magical! The cottage was so charming, just what we were looking for. Spending time in that area really puts things in perspective. We found a wonderful trail just before Cutler that leads to an overlook. It was like standing on the edge of the world. We also found a new Smoked Salmon business that opened up the week before we arrived called Reir's on Rt.189- Delicious! We would love to visit again, hopefully for a longer period of time. Please stay in touch, Jamison
