| What a wonderful vacation home! My husband and I took our family, 3 children plus spouses 6 grandkids and 2 dogs in July 2009. The house worked perfectly for our family, everyone had there own bedroom and big enough for us to sitdown together for meals. The grandkids enjoyed all the activities they could do at the house. The hiking was great and the scenery was breathtaking. Loved it all. Thanks Karen and Bob for sharing your vacation home with us. Hope to come back again! Dorene Baier |

| What a wonderful home for a family reunion! Nine of us spent the week for our son's graduation from the Air Force Academy. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. A great place to relax - the outdoor fire pit was a big hit, the site of nightly marshallow roasts and good times. Young and old enjoyed playing on the swing set. The families who came out to share a barbecue with us were envious of our foresight in renting such a wonderful home. All enjoyed sharing with each other around the big dining area table and huge picnic table. The wildlife was a great plus - the deer and birds feeding right outside the back door. Plenty of room for all! We're ready to do it all over again! |

| OH What a place. We visited in the first week of May 2008. On our arrival we saw Elk just below the house. The background setting of the house is Romantic Setting. I was up most before 05:30 having my coffee everyday. The sun came up over the back hill around 08:00 and it was out all day. So much space in the house. Game's for the kids Galore! Mule Deer just about everyday coming through in the morning, afternoon and evening. Bear just across the street. I have Pictures of it all. The Hiking! Oh the Hiking.This house is located in just the right place. Close to everything! The Treasure Hunt was GREAT! Not going to spoil the fun for ya and tell ya anymore about it. View of Pike's Peak, WOW! Even though we had a few Snow (Sleet)times, we were in our shorts and short sleeves before 10:00 am. I just wanted to say around the house BUT, the beauty of Colorado is amazing. So much to see! Hope everyone who Stay's has a Great Visit like we did. Will visit AGAIN! Thank You Karen and Bob! What a vacation! |

| My husband, 2 kids (ages 9 & 11) and I had a fabulous time in Oct. at your home! It was also great to be able to accommodate my sister, brother-in-law and 81-year-old father who joined us for the final night of our stay. The kids absolutely LOVED all the extras, especially the treehouse, tetherball and treasure hunt. In fact, the treasure hunt (which Karen & Bob so cleverly devised) was probably the highlight of our stay. And it's no ordinary simple kids'-stuff hunt. It takes about 20 minutes or better of hiking to find the treasure (providing you catch all the subtle clues and don't give up). The kids actually found the cave three separate times (though the adults they drug along were doubtful each time). What fun! |

| We thoroughly enjoyed our week-long adventure here. It was the perfect retreat to relax, play in the snow with the kids and completely enjoy all the beauty of Colorado. Upon arriving to a warm and cozy home (the fire in the wood stove had been pre-lit for us) with welcoming music playing, Bob and Karen were most gracious. The adjacent National Forest allowed for exploring (Treasure map included) as well as sledding to our hearts delight. After a hard day of playing, completely unwind in the inside hot tub while gazing out on the billions of stars gracing the night sky. We had a wonderful time. |

| We have rented cabins in colorado on three previous occasions. None compared to the quality of this home. We look forward to returning,and enjoying this cabin again. |

I think you could easily promote 'The Lodge' as a great wedding spot. The local B & B's want to make you pay through the nose for the privilege of getting married there.

| We had a wonderful get away here. The setting is beautiful and secluded with hiking access to the National Forrest and yet it is within minutes of 24 with quick access to the Springs and Woodland Park. It is equiped like a camp with all kinds of activities indoors and out. This place is ideal and a great find. We look forward to coming back. |

We had a great time and appreciate the use of the home.
That was the longest vacation we have ever taken and we were able to stay busy enough that we didn't feel the need to leave early. You have a good central location and we were able to do a lot of different things in several different locations.

The house is beautiful and pleasant. I wanted to linger in bed forever--the beds were so comfortable and the view outside the window was delightful. It was fun to roam the house to look at the artifacts in each room. Everything was clean and neat.

We very much enjoyed our stay - slept great - had plenty of room - loved
starting our morning with coffee sitting on the bench swing - kitchen
was fully equipped for our needs - did I say we slept great ? It was
very nice of you to "leave the lights on" for us for our evening
arrival. And we enjoyed the stereo too. Kids spent A LOT of time
playing ping pong and really enjoyed the hot tub. My personal favorite
is all the windows - I love all the light during the day ! I also
really like the large table so we could all sit down together.
