Great place to stay! Fantastic view. We saw lots of whales from the lanai. The owners have appointed the condo with many conveniences for their guests. We would definitely stay here again!

We have vacationed at the Kuleana Resort for many years. Staying in this unit has been a dream come true, and we look forward to returning each year for many years to come.
The view from the lanai if fantastic! Whales, turtles and rainbows galore!
The unit has everything needed for a very comfortable, enjoyable vacation in paradise.
West Maui is our favorite destination, The Kuleana being the #1 spot.

What a lovely place! The beauty and vitality of Maui is right outside. We snorkeled daily and swam with several sea turtles right out back! Look for them at dusk. I would add to the suggestions previously noted: health food and veggie goodies are the first market on your left toward Lahaina (farmers Market). Definitely enjoy fresh ahi on the grill. Set out for Hana or Haleakala early to have more time. Mama’s Fish House, although very expensive, has always provided world-class dinning. Slack key music on Tuesdays at the Ritz Carlton though pricey, is a genuine Hawaiian musical goodtime.
Enjoy and hope to return to write again, one of the nicest places we’ve stayed.

Aloha,

Lovely, lovely condo! We enjoyed it very much.
Take the road to Hana on a Sunday. There is hardly any traffic. Be sure to allow for a long day. Take a cooler full of drinks with you.
We also suggest that you stop by the farmers market and fish store down the road. We grilled our own fish & the most fabulous Maui corn on the cob on the extremely clean grills outside. Even you can cook as well as any chef on Maui when you have the freshest ingredients.
Oh, the aloha Mixed Plate has the best coconut fried shrimp on the planet!
The view from this condo is awesome!

Aloha,

We’ve had a wonderful vacation in a beautiful Condo!
We golfed at Puhilana (great fairways, slippery greens). We enjoyed a great hike in the lava fields south of Wialea. We ate in most nights because where can you find a view like the one here!! We did go out one night to the Sea Horse. The food was good and the view terrific.

Mahalo Jerry & Jeff!

What a beautiful vacation spot. Me, Elias (8) Savanna (6) & Joy 9 Husband had the most spectacular time-
The highs for us were Molokini, turtle town, Mile Marker 14 Must see the royal Lahaina Luau (awesome) & the seven pools!
Thanks so much for all the amenities (we loved the pineapple wine).

Aloha…
We’ll miss this beautiful place! Our trip from southern California to Maui was even better than I could have imagined. This place is truly magical. Our first day here we drove around Lahaina and absorbed the beach community and it’s quality and it’s quaint shops. On our second day we drove the road to Hana with the “Maui Revealed” book. The bleu pool is worth it! Make the trip there! Disregard the deep out sighs…. The charge is $2 for parking (no biggie).
Day 3 we were a little worn out from Hana so I made breakfast and we sat on the lanai! Our favorite view in all of Maui! (Mahalo, Jeff!)
That evening we went to U’lalena a great show in old Lahaina. The theater was more state of the art than expected. Get the directors package the after show is cool!
Day 5 we went snorkeling at Molokini and turtle town w/Maui Dive shop. Capt. Was Joe w/sidekick Heidi, we saw about 16 turtles and tons of fish! Maui dive shop leaves the earliest we were the 2nd boat out to Molokini!
That night we ate at Gerard’s plantation Inn, excellent food! We were prepared to spend $$$, but since it was our 5 year anniversary the people at the table next to us bought our entire meal! How’s that for aloha spirit! We are sad to be leaving this place, but we’ll be back! We’re already looking at coming back.

Aloha,

We had a wonderful time! The view was beautiful. We did see some whales on Tuesday early in the morning at 7:00am. The snorkeling as great right in front of the condo. Went to the Marriott Luau, not impressive. Drove down to La Perouse Bay for snorkeling, lots of fish, go early. McKenna landing also good for snorkeling. The kids loved hiking in the bamboo forests and swimming at twin falls on the way to Hana. Snorkeling at Molokini was nice and we saw a lot of turtles at turtle town. The fish market was excellent!

Aloha!

We came to celebrate our honeymoon, and now that it’s coming to a close we couldn’t imagine spending it anywhere else. This condo, island, and everything it has to offer is perfect.
There we’re turtles and whales (including a magnificent breach right in front of the condo) every day the food was ex excellent! We highly recommend nick’s fish market in Wialea, Lelani’s right on the beach in whalers village, and Roy’s just up the road in Kahana.
Whale watching (Kapalua Kai) and snorkeling off the coast of lanai (ocean riders) were unforgettable experiences.
If you decide to drive up to see the sunrise at Haleakala, make sure you check cloud conditions before you go. However, even though the sunrise we went to see was somewhat blocked, we had a great time.
We can’t say enough about the helicopter tour though. Truly amazing! Air Maui and our pilot Dave gave us a ride that provided unbelievable view and some very interesting facts about the islands.
Make sure you make time to drive… all the way around the island if you can. Some roads are a little rugged, but we made it in a mustang. There is so much to see here.

Mahalo jerry and Jeff! We can’t say it enough. We will never forger this place.

Aloha,
Just wanted to let you know that this place is awesome!!! Dave and I have found it to be our home away from home. Everything you could possibly need is here. I don’t think there has been one thing that we needed that was not supplied in this great condo. Right down to packing tape and a Marker to send a box home with souvenirs. The view is spectacular it’s going to be very difficult leaving here and going back home. We tried sport fishing (that was Dave’s dream by the way)! Dave caught a 500lb Blue Marlin the highlight of the trip for him! Went out with the “start me up” sport fishermen in Lahaina. The crew was great! (Joel & John) However, this job is not for the weak (like me!). Pulling in those fish was a word out to the max! We were all exhausted after the 1½ hour fight with the Blue Marlin.
This is our last night here in Maui and we have enjoyed 11 glorious days here. I hope everyone will enjoy the place the way that we have.
Best wishes can’t wait to come back.

Mahalo Jerry and Jeff!

Thank you thank you for allowing us to stay in your Beautiful home while on vacation. Our main objective was to relax an absorb. And that we did. We had a fabulous stay here and could truly feel the spirit of Maui moving in all around us. The turtles by the shore here greeted us each morning. One afternoon we watched 2 bottle nosed Dolphins feeding right here off the shore. There must have been an abundance of fish because they were having a great time feeding. The ever changing sky was magnificent each day. I recommend to all who come during whale season to go out with “The Ultimate Whale Watching Tour” we were so impressed and excited that we went twice. You are in a zodiac – only 18 people/boat – water/whale level. Awesome. Katie, the Naturalist was fun and knowledgeable 9 she lives I Alaska during the summer following the migration).
We saw up close and personal breaching, tails 2 ft from the boat. Males singing, babies and mamas and one baby actually sleeping on mama’s nose (head). You can only approach them to 100 yds but many came to us out of curiosity so the rule is “sit Idle” Leanne our captain was fantastic in both respect for these animals and giving us a perfect view.
We are feeling sad today because we are leaving - But we are taking with us the aloha spirit and wish all of you who come to this place, to sit, relax and just breathe it all in. So Beautiful –
Mahalo-Randy and Toni Homan

P.S. this very moment, a perfect rainbow arch encompassing our shore – (condo) Maui is saying farewell…--
We’ll be back…….
The art on the wall is beautiful and the Hawaiian wood Vases Gorgeous!!

Coming from Montana – what can we say? We’ve had a fabulous time spent here! Luckily our son lives in Pa-ia and he has taken us to al the tourist areas – but also off the beaten paths.
Sitting on the Lanai – we have been able to observe several whales swim through the turtles each morning, surfers, and various cruise ships etc. (sunsets…Sunrises… etc.) the accommodations were wonderful – a home away from home. Very relaxing and we would love to come back!

Aloha!
We were just finishing breakfast on the lanai commenting what a great spot this condo has been for 25th Anniversary trip, when a whale passed by straight in front of the unit!
Place was great-clean, quiet & well equipped. We used the grills (remarkably clean) for a few dinners, but were out and a bout more of the time. Walena is an inspiring performance. Good to do this early in the week to immerse in Hawaiian history & culture. Perhaps overly aggressive- we tackled the Haleakala sunrise and road to Hana in one day. We borrowed the Hana Cd- it added a lot to the trip but should have brought the accompanying map. The hike at O'heo gulch was well worth it- 400’ waterfall Beaches offer great variety- Kaanapali, Napili, Mahena, Hookipa – all spectacular. Pacifica is marvelous made reservation especially on the weekend.
Mahalo!!

Aloha,

This place is true paradise. The view from the lanai is pre heaven the island of lanai to the left and Molokai to the right is postcard perfect. Don’t waste your time searching for any better views, this is it!! I can’t emphasize enough to find the aloha spirit and slowdown and experience the magic of the Hawaiian Islands. Please don’t make the same mistake that we did and try to do everything in one week. We deeply regret not spending more time right here at the Kuleana on the Lanai watching the sunset and grilling fresh fish. Turn on the radio to station 93.5 and sit on the lanai with a corona or a mai tai and enjoy.
With all that said, we did enjoy the Marriott Luau, fishing with “Start Me Up” sport fishing charter, (we caught only 1 fish but the crew is fantastic), driving the road to Hana, we recommend driving clockwise from the condo up through Kapalua all the way around the north side and then to Hana and go all the way around the south side (watch for cows on the road) and the one lane bridges!
We did eat some glorious meals at Sarento’s on the beach in Wialea, Kimo’s in Lahaina and at the Hula Grill in Kaanapali. The drive down to Makena south of Wialea is Lava fields and desolate but awe-inspiring! Kihei and Wialea are nice and magnificent but we found Kaanapali with the beach walk and shops the best place to stroll. North of the condo on the way to Hana there is blow-hole with the ocean waves blasting through it what a sight!!
It is with deep regret that we are leaving here I hope deep in my heart that we can some of the Aloha spirit and practice the virtues that make Hawaii a very special place.
Special Mahalo to Jerry and Jeff who make this truly memorable vacation possible. The condo is luxuriously decorated and very comfortable. The furnishings and their hospitality is unmatched!!

Aloha,
We stayed at this place for a week. We absolutely loved it. Excellent view and very well furnished to be a home.
Suggestions about places:
As much as “Haleakala sunrise” is hyped, spare some time for Haleakala during day time. Expansive views of crater and adjacent islands are breathtaking.
We circled both volcanoes on this island. The on to the north, on freeway 30 to 340, drive on dirt-road was nerve-racking & exciting.
Suggestions about food: Farmers Markett is the first market to left on the way to Downtown Lahaina is a great place for vegetarian and health food. For trips to Hana or Haleakala, pack you lunch, a great place to pick-up food is “Down to earth” on dairy rd, just before 36 intersection.
We strongly recommend “Pita Paradiso” at 1913 S. Kihea Rd. a very reasonably priced & excellent food. I’O at front Rd Lahaina. Was very expensive and great food. Café Brooklyn at 2010 Main Rd Wailuku is another great café.
We had a great week; overall we hope you do too. Looking forward to coming back here again. :) .

We were married on Maui and wanted to return here to enjoy our special place. This month here was special. Enjoyed dinners & sunsets on lanai while watching whales out front. Watching the full moon set at 5:30am was a sight not to forget. We plan to return next year. The unit is very clean and neat. Thank you for letting us experience it all by sharing your wonderful place with us.

First couple of days we searched all over for the most gorgous ocean view. While we had dinner-then realized the best view was right on our own lanai. Gorgeous sunsets!
Saw five whales while we were here. We were lucky to see them this late. We also enjoyed viewing the turtles as they came up for air.

This is our second visit to this resort during spring break. we really enjoy this little place, just a stones throw away from Kapalua airport-great location, grounds, quiet and private. Highlights last spring incredible rainbow right off the lanai on our last day-and a green flash at sunset the first evening-
This year another perfectly formed, brilliant rainbow has once again bid us an aloha fairwell on the morning of our departure- we'll be back! Mahalo
