| We are from the Pittsburgh area and we had a relaxing peaceful vacation. It reminded me of summer vacations I spent growing up at Deep Creek Lake in MD but D.C. is so built up. We rented a boat and enjoyed several days cruising the lake and tubing. The paddle boat was fun. We hope to return to SML in the future. Thank you for sharing your home with us as it was our first time at SML and the area is very quiet. |

| We could not have asked for a more peaceful getaway. The boys loved the game room and when they weren't fishing...they were playing pool. The house was spacious enough for everyone to have their own space and privacy. Everyone got a kick out of the ice cream boat. We had a wonderful vacation. |

| My boys and I had a great time at Smith Mountain Lake. The game room downstairs was worth the rental. Convenient location and perfect access to the lake. Couple nice golf courses within 15 minutes. Paddleboat was was nice, although we didn't catch any fish. Would definitely stay here again. |

| My fiancee and I needed to getaway for a couple of days to somewhere cozy and quiet. We found Dianne's house online and loved what was offered for the price. Dianne was so accomodating, it was as if she wanted us to enjoy ourselves more than we did. Once we arrived at the house, it was much more then we expected, it was much larger then the pictures and very comfortable and cozy. I loved the fireplace, and the deck off the masterbed room. Also, the lower level kept us entertained for hours. Smith Mountain Lake is one of my favorite winter escapes and now this house is where we plan to stay each visit. Thanks so much Dianne, your enthusiasm and customer service made all the difference in our decision to stay at your home. |

| My husband and I are originally from Delaware, and that is where all our family is from. Since we have moved to Tennessee it is hard to visit the family. Smith Mountain Lake is at about the halfway point from Tennessee to Delaware, and it was an EXCELLENT meeting place! We had an absolute BLAST at the Mills' home, and we cannot wait until the next trip! The lower level game room alone kept us busy for hours, and the lake view kept us speechless due to its beauty. Our dog even had such a great time that she passed out at the end of the night due to exhaustion (which is saying a LOT because she is a Jack Russell Terrier)! You will not be disappointed in your stay here! Thanks for everything, Dianne! |

I was not good at any of the games in the basement but I love this house. It is very pretty and cozy. Hello...this is Mom. Nice home, lots of space for toddlers and teens on this visit. We were blessed with warm weather. Upper 60's in December!! We enjoyed the little boat and dock. My son practiced his golf swing on the dock and we got a lot of star-gazing in. Game room is neat! We rented a boat for four days and next time we will probably rent one for the whole week. This was our first trip to the lake and will not be the last. It is really pretty. I like to exercise and the hill from your home up the driveway and up your street to corner is a great workout.

We ABSOLUTELY enjoyed our week at SML. When we got up on Saturday morning, I couldn't resist calling my friend here in
Florida to paint a "verbal picture" of what I saw from the deck. The fog was just lifting off the lake, the sun was coming up and creating a reflection in the water of the beautiful fall colors of the leaves on the trees. It was truly breathtakingly beautiful. If only I were an artist.....
My family members in Rocky Mount as well as our daughter and five grandchildren who live in Northern Virginia visited "in shifts" for the duration of the week. The game room certainly got a work-out and "Grandpa" and I found just how "bad" we were at both air hockey and pool!!! It is truly a wonderful home for children and adults alike.
Our Thanksgiving Holiday was nothing short of perfect!!! Many thanks to you. |

This was our first visit to Smith Mountain Lake. We found the house on the internet, and we've been very pleased with the accommodations, the location on the cove, and the SML area in general. It's been a nice HOT week - perfect for swimming & tubing & catching a nice breeze while boating. The evenings and the early mornings have been ideal for fishing - caught 4 nice fish in 1 day, including a striper. The kids love the proximity to the water and we've put the pedal boat to frequent use. It's rare that they're indoors, but when they are inside, they're having fun with the pool table and air hockey table as well as some of the boardgames. When we are not all down at the water it's been great to watch them from both decks. The deck built off the master bedroom is such a nice touch.
We found the boat traffic surprising light which afforded the opportunity to have more fun with tubing. Thank you for sharing your lovely home and lakefront property. It was just the right spot for perfect family vacation.

| What a fantastic home for kids. We really enjoyed being able to "spread-out". The weather wasn't very cooperative. Colder than expected with some rain. It was great that we found Kroger has a $1.00 DVD rental kiosk. We watched a lot of movies in the evening. We even brought some of our own board games and had a great time. We would love to come back when the weather is warmer and there is more activity on and around the lake. |

Hey Dianne, we left SML early this morning, what a great place you have. The lake was horribly busy but we managed to find a few nice coves right near by to water ski. It was a great family trip and a wonderful way to end the summer!!! My 15 year old son was in heaven finding a little blue lizard that was on your dock a lot. Also the spiders outside were HUGE!!!!

The kids LOVED it and we are looking forward to returning to the lake next year. The cottage was so much bigger than it looks on the outside! Plenty of room and privacy. Providing the linens was definitely a PLUS! (especially when you travel as far as we did.) I hope the hammock is yours because it was GREAT! Nice and comfy! It was very enjoyable. | Thanks for the use of your lake home over the week-end. We had a very nice time. I appreciated all the kitchenware. Plenty for the group. The dining room/living room are so nice and open. We were able to play games and enjoy sitting around inside even though the weather outside was pretty dismal. The Charity Tour of Homes was awesome. We managed to get to 6 of the 8 homes. We would love to return next year with our grandchildren. Thanks! |

| Just a note to let you know about our stay at your comfortable, cozy home. We had a great time! The beds were all very comfortable and linens and towels being provided was a big plus! The kids (11-17) thoroughly enjoyed the pool and air hockey table. Many games were played during the heat of the day. I enjoyed sitting on the deck with my morning coffee and just enjoying the view. We certainly appreciated the fact that your house is pet friendly and our dog, loved the lake and went swimming several times with the kids. We also got a kick out of the ice cream boat that came around a few nights that we were there. There was plenty of room to find a quiet spot and just enjoy relaxing, which is what vacation should be all about! Appreciated the washer and dryer and used it during the week and before our departure on Friday. Again, we are very happy that we found your home and hope to return at a future date. |

| We really had a GREAT vacation and love SML. Your home was perfect for us. Our granddaughters (5 and 2) loved swimming in the cove (so did the rest of us) and we played pool for the first time in years. It was an unforgettable family time that flew by too fast. |

| I stayed here recently with seven close friends. We spent weeks planning the relaxing retreat, and that is exactly what we got. The house is very spacious with all the comforts of home. We found the quiet, secluded area to be very soothing, but with the marina nearby there was plenty of excitment. |
