What a terrific, relaxing, and inspiring place! We love the "at home" feeling of your lovely cabin! The neighberhood is very quiet, friendly and scenic! My partner, our German Shepard - Chow, liked walking to the park and hanging out on the decks! The fully-stocked kitchen is a big plus! The beds are extrememly comfortable! Who knew that just a short hour and a half drive from our home in the city could transport us to a beautiful forest setting! With the price of gas being what it is, our usual vacations to the Northwest (Oregon and Washington) will now be replaced with a short road trip to the highway! Our friends from Arizona had a great time as well!

What a wonderful place to stay. We stayed for a 4 day weekend in late July 07' and it was so much fun. This facility has it ALL!!! You literally only need to bring clothes. Bernie and Stacie provide the rest, from tons of pillows, to towels for the beach, to laundry dertergent. It was like being at home but MUCH cleaner!!! The house was so CLEAN and so well thought out with a TVs in everyroom and enough beds to house our family of 5 and my parents.
I recommend taking advantage of the Beach Passes they provide, these beaches were great and with the pass you can check out lounge chairs and beach toys for free!!!
I can't wait to come back up! |

The serenity of the environment is irresistable! Anastasia's Hideaway made Antonio and I rested, relaxed, and brought us once again to the beauty of nature...the high mountains,the green tall trees around. Guam's Beauty are the white sand and beaches...Lake Arrowhead's is the lake. I've been to Arrowhead before and had stayed at the UCLA Conference, but this year, when we got Norm, our wonderful mild-mannered basset, we decided that your place was the best option to keep Norm with us. Well, I was more than impressed! I loved the view, bedrooms, fireplaces, wine in fridge (though we don't drink), cleanliness, and firewood. Norm especially loved to forage in the backyard and walk down the streets toward the village.
My sister also came with us, and I believed that she totally enjoyed herself. She had really nothing to say about your place--which is a compliment! Usually, she would complain flat out about a place, but with your house, I believed it stunned her quiet. =)
Anyhow, we really loved your place and look forward to more days spent there in the future.

Thank you so much for everything. Once again, your efforts helped make for a perfect weekend. Dad was absolutely blown away by all that you did. The banner… the cake… the “6-pack”., wine and candies….. You are so very thoughtful!
We all had a wonderful 3 ½ days. I was up there by 11:00 on Friday. The folks didn’t get there until 3:30 which gave me plenty of time to decorate. I brought silver candlesticks, white linen tablecloth… appetizers, fresh flowers (bought at Jensens), potted mums and more flowers. I had the 4’ “80” balloons blown up at the party store in Blue Jay… also bought a dozen more balloons there… (5 of which popped on the way to the house… so I had to go back for more!)… to go with the ones you left! Jensen’s was a great “last minute” store. Very impressive.
The weather was totally picture-perfect… and boy did I take a lot of pictures!
I’ve got pictures of Dad with his “80 balloons” taken in front of the house. I’ll make sure to make an extra copy for you. Or… if I can figure out how to email it (brain dead, here)…. I’ll do that.
We took another picnic at “our” park. Even staked out “our” picnic table. My nephew went fishing right there in the lake; he was perfectly happy to fish there, so we never made it to Lake Gregory. Good thing too; we were all just to darned lazy. He caught tadpoles… but no fish. Never-the-less, he was in hog heaven.
We did have a GREAT time in Arrowhead Village on Saturday eating Bratworst, Polish Sausage and listening to the OOOMPAH Band… compliments of Oktoberfest. We had a blast. The band was a real hoot; the lead singer a real goofball that kept us laughing.
Stacie, thank you again for everything. You are a very special lady. I think you need to open up a school for hospitality services. You are a pro… but, more than that, you are caring and very, very sweet. That comes across loud and clear.
I would love to experience Anastasia’s Hideaway for a weekend during the winter.

We have really enjoyed our stay in your warm and hospitable cabin. What a lovely setting! - it has been like living in the tree tops! The cabin is so well equipped even to the extent of paper products, coffee, tea, spices, and soap supplies. Everything has been thought of.
The cabin was our last stop on a 3 week holiday in which we saw the coast from Alaska to Vancouver and then again from San Francisco to L.A. and it was just the right thing to do. Now of course we are amost too relaxed but that's what holidays are about.
We found the village friendly and welcoming and St. Richard's church is lovely.

We had a FABULOUS week. We all just loved your home; thanks for letting us come back in September for my Dad's 80th birthday.
Our week there was so wonderful. I loved your "partk" at the bottom of Tunnel Rd. My dog, Fletcher, and I spent the better part of an afternoon there...me reading a book and Fletch sprawled in the grass. In addition to that wonderful afternoon, Mom, Dad, Fletch and I had THREE picnics in that park. When my daughter arrived, the two of us had a picnic there as well. WE all just loved it.
Petra, Dad & I went horseback riding over in Big Bear... fabulous! Tho' it was cut short due to lightening and thunder.
We also took the "paddle boat" ride on the lake. We highly recomment it to all "newbies". Prior to the boat ride, Dad took us all to the Waffle House for breakfast. The waffle-lover's among us gave it a thumbs up. I, on the other hand, thought the eggs and sausage were great.
We are so looking forward to our return in September.

Stacie, Bernie, and Family,
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with our family. It felt just like home to us from the moment we walked in the front door. We enjoyed bar-b-queing and playing games on the deck by day and star gazing by night. We swam daily in Tavern Bay and my oldest girl even went water skiing for her first time! Lucy, our Labrador, enjoyed the hiking and watching birds from the deck. The neighbors were friendly too! We will definitely return!
