Just wanted to thank you for letting us rent your condo. It was a very good time for all of us. The view is wonderful. Fripp Island is quite a place. We rented a cart one day and drove all around the island. The beach is great and the marsh is beautiful. One of my favorite things about the south. Hi, Lisa. Yes, we arrived safely, toured Savannah, Charleston and the beautiful towns all around Fripp. We got there late Saturday night and left Saturday morning.
Fripp is more beautiful than we ever imagined. We loved sitting on the balcony watching the sun rise. The deer were taking crackers from our hands, how cute are they?!?! We didn't see many dolphins, just their fins as they swam by a couple times. This was definitely one of our best trips. Your condo was beautiful, warm and inviting, we absolutely loved it. We thought about staying and making you evict us, that should take around six months, but we didn't have enough clothes with us. We found everything we needed.
So, thank you for everything, I hope some day we can return to your beautiful home.

I think I wrote you last week about how much fun we had...did you get the email? We had an absolute blast!!! Spotted the dolphins the minute we opened the door. Loved having such a convenient place. Everything in the condo was clean and nice and convenient. It was so great to be able to use your chairs, umbrellas and towels and not have to pack them ourselves. We found the hose by the front stairs very useful in keeping everything sand free after a fantastic day at the beach,. We crabbed, fished, caught sand crabs, watched alligators, swam in the pool, played on the beach, (our favorite spot is POA 2), fed the deer, road around on the golf cart, caught a flounder with my throwing net, caught a sting ray, ate great seafood from Bonita Boathouse, and Gay's...We went to the
little place just past the state park going out on the right beside Bubba's (can't remember the name.) Russ caught his first fish at the end of the island near the rocks at low tide. Wilson is an excellent crab snatcher!
Can't think of one thing to suggest! Really appreciated the coded door so that we did not have to keep up with a key...that was brilliant!
My brother and sister-in-law, nephew and neice live in Beaufort and they met us on the beach for some family time...it was great.
Needless to say, it was a welcomed and very enjoyable trip with Clete back home. We really appreciate your generosity...hope to visit again soon. I'll forward pictures a little later.

I want to apologize for not letting you know sooner about our wonderful vacation.
Debbie and I had an incredible time. The condo was beautiful with amazing views. It was all we had hoped for and more. It was so well equipped and very clean. We enjoyed so much watching the dolphins and the sunrise and sunsets were breathtaking. We had a full moon and the reflection on the water was a beautiful sight. Debbie enjoyed her walks on the beach and found some very pretty shells. We loved taking drives around the island and observing the many deer. We went to Beaufort and visited the historic district. Hi Lisa! The vacation was wonderful. However, no one told the fish. :) We only caught a few fish but it was fun being out there and being together as a family. My brother was in Hilton Head so he came over a couple days and fished with us. My husband and him braved the ocean one day and although they did not go far, they managed to get stuck on a sand bar. So that day they were out there til 8:30 pm when the tide had come back in enough to get unstuck. So they learned a valuable lesson. I just was happy the kids and I were not with them. We swam at the pool there at the condo and watched them from the rock wall. All in all, very amusing! We were very sad to leave and are trying to adjust to being home again.

It was my intent to write as soon as I returned from Fripp, but I got so far behind, that I'm just now starting to catch up.
Your condo was terrific!! I pretended it was my own as I cleaned up every morning!! You are so lucky! I can't help but be a little jealous! My daughter came with her two little ones, so it was just us girls, no husbands. I rented a golf cart, which I don't normally do.
The weather was perfect. My mom, who is 87, spent hours on the balcony plus I had her on the beach every day for several hours, which she didn't do when I had her there in April. It was just a fantastic five days for all of us.
Thank you again for letting us use the condo. It really is a great one.

We had an incredible vacation on Fripp Island!! We absolutely hated coming home yesterday. : ( Your villa is beautiful and the ocean view from your villa is breathtaking! We sat out on your balcony every morning with our coffee and every evening with our wine. The sunrise is absolutely incredible as well as the sunset. We went on the Sunset Cruise on Tuesday evening. It was so much fun! We went to the Beach Club every day and enjoyed that area as well. The beach is beautiful. We also spent every evening at the Sandbar with our kids. That's where all of the young people congregated each evening. My husband and I felt really old even though we are only 45 and 47!!
We were absolutely amazed at the deer! They are so tame. We have great pictures of us feeding them bread. The big bucks were eating right out of our hands! We also saw 8 baby alligators and one HUGE alligator in one of the swampy areas of one of the golf courses. Fripp truly is a wildlife refuge!
We had lots of great food while there as well! We ate at the Beach Club, Bonita Boathouse, Boondock's, Barbara-Jeans in Beaufort (We had the best crab cakes here we have ever had anywhere! In fact, we are having some shipped to our house! If you haven't ever eaten there I would highly recommend it!). We also went to the Gay Fish Co. and bought grouper and shrimp to cook. It was great!!!!
As soon as I get my pictures printed I will send you a copy of my family sitting on the ocean wall out by the pool at your villa. I think we will use this picture for our Christmas cards this year!
We are already trying to figure out when we can get back to Fripp Island again! It is a very beautiful, relaxing place to vacation!

That is a great note Lisa-Thanks for responding. Since we are pretty familiar with the lowcountry we fit right in. Dee was awesome-I called her right after we got there and she had housekeeping bring over 12 more rolls of TP. The guys before us must have snagged it. It was really clean and airy, much like the Kiawah villas we have stayed in. It was clean, cool and tastefully decorated.
Almost every day we started at the beach at John Fripp and got to know alot of the help. I always try and get to know them at the food courts, shops, activities center. We went into Beaufort during the water festival and walked around town. It is like a small Charleston. Restaurant wise we ate at Johnson's Creek twice, Boondocks twice. 35 cent shrimp on Wednesdays fills up fast so get there early, Shrimp Shack, Plums, Pizza one night at the food court. No complaints at any of the places. The golfcarts are great and the amenity cards are great for pools. They don't card you too much once they get to know you. The one thing we noticed is that Fripp is not pretentious like Kiawah and you don't get alot of that NY/NJ attitude from tourists that you get in Charleston. Kids had a great time, my 12 yr old went to all the teen nights and met other kids also.
I always liked the guestbook idea where each renter could write in it during his stay. The info book we could add to was a cool idea.
Anyway I appreciate you letting us stay there and we will definitely be back. You have done a fabulous job down there.

The description of the property and its condition was entirely accurate. The kitchen was well equipped, including utensils. Rooms were freshly painted and nicely furnished. The owner provided great customer service and was attentive and responsive. I would highly recommend this property to a family as it is situated right across from the swimming pool. My family and I used to spend a week in Hilton Head, but since discovering Fripp Island last year, we prefer it. No hotels, very slow pace, little traffic (mostly golf carts). Great place to relax, wind down, and spend time with the family.

WE loved FRIPP and the condo was fantastic !!! Thanks so much for renting us your place….wow !!! We wanted to stay another week !!!!!
The deer are PRECIOUS and the BABY alligators were cute. What a beautiful scenic paradise !!!!!! Brian called it a giant petting zoo.
All of us LOVED it and the kids didn’t even complain about the lack of ‘commercial activities’…I think EVERYONE enjoyed the restful chill time and access to beaches, wildlife and picturesque VIEWS everywhere !
I thought we would all go to the other pools but I think only Kent and Nate made it to another pool…we went and looked at them and then came back to N. Hampton…we LOVED the view of the rocky beach !! We went and walked on the sandy beaches at night on a couple of the nights. We walked on the walkways through the Marsh, we took the golf cart EVERYWHERE and Brian played both golf courses….
FRIPP is incredible !!! You have a lovely place Thanks !

Just a couple of things. First of all, I wanted to thank you for all your efforts to make our visit to Fripp Island so pleasant. You bent over backward to make sure we were equipped and informed. Think you are probably the "hostess with the mostess"!
Also, I was struck with what an exceptional guest suite for this size of condo with the pocket door in the hall. I knew that our grandson's would want to sleep later than us and when we closed the door they had physical and sound privacy. You may want to touch on that in your description of the condo on the internet because sometimes there are two couples that appreciate that privacy.

Last time I was on Fripp there were only a few homes down near the marina. And all the new pools are fantastic. We spent a lot of time at the Cabana Club Pool. Thanks for a beautiful week! We REALLY did wake up to watch a few beautiful sunrises, and the dolphins playing in the water visible from the mater bed. We found this place EXACTLY as we expected from the photos. We have rented at Fripp a few times and would gladly go back to this place.
Everything was very convenient in the condo: laundry, lots of large towels, a well supplied kitchen, inviting bathtubs, and comfy beds. Location was good, especially for access to the golf. The weather was not good enough for swimming in the pool, but the pool was very clean, and looked inviting even at 37 degress. The day it got to 75 we thought about going in the pool, however we opted for a walk at the beach instead, taking our shoes off to wade in the sun-warmed tidal pools... yes, in November. The water was warmer in the tidal pools than you might think. The beach further south is getting even wider than the last time I was on the island, and nice to stroll.
The only problem we had was with the Fripp front gate and guests trying to visit us, but that was an issue for other condos and homes we have stayed at on island too. Lisa had this covered, as we had a contact "on island" that helped with this. (They DO protect the island from sightseers who do not belong there, which is a plus for guests.) This issue was more than compensated for by the BEAUTIFUL landscaping around the island, good job Fripp Island. The views are fantastic at Fripp, and you definite want to remember to pack a good camera.
The condo was great, and we started an info book for future guests. As returning guests, we knew where things were located on island and off, but thought future guests would enjoy a notebook with maps, info, etc. We look forward to going back to Fripp, and to this condo again. ENJOY!

Very nice comments from a West Chester, Ohio family that stayed at our place Aug. 5 - 12:
Lisa - just a quick note to tell you how much we enjoyed Fripp Island and your wonderful condo. The view was great. We thought the beach was closer but after exploring a little found several different access points that offered us everything from sand dollars and shells to big waves. The kids thought driving the golf cart to the beach was cool.
A couple of things we loved about your unit: the keyless entry is the best, high speed wireless a bonus, and the DVD player. The only thing we would of hoped for was a larger bed in the master. (Note from owner - The bed is Queen size, not King.)
