What an amazing island. So much to do and see. Your condo is in a perfect location to explore North, South, East and West. The helicopter ride with no doors off was absoutely amazing. I was looking forward to the Na Pali Coast but it was Mt Wei that blew us away, fantastic. Your ice making fridge is terrific we filled the big esky with ice, put food in the little esky, put the little esky in the big esky and took water bottles and we were ways all day, everyday exploring. Monk, your condo is so comfortable we loved staying here. (from the condo written guest book.)

| We stayed at Monk's condo for 8 nights for our 20th Anniversary. I was wonderful. We were so close to the beach we would walk down and watch the sunrise. We packed very light and used the washer and dryer which was a great convenience. We appreciated having the beach coolers and chairs to go to the beach each day with our lunch. The location made it easy to go sight seeing either North or South. Everything was as promised it would be and we were very happy with the service. Very prompt! Monk's condo is very comfortable and has nice amenities, like a washer/dryer combo and A/C! Don't let people fool you-sure, there are trade winds, sometimes, but some people (like us) are more comfortable (especially sleeping) with no humidity and it's still humid no matter what temp.
We were comfortable all-around, and I appreciated the king-size bed, although a bit soft for our taste.
Location is great for being central to everything on Kauai! |

| Mounque, the condo was an amazing great deal for us and our daughter. It is the nicest and best equipped we've ever rented. The sofa bed was great for her and having Air conditioning in both rooms made it nice for our small family and affordable. Your right it's not a rental, it is a home away from home. Everything is lovely, so relaxing and tasteful. The location is perfect to get to everywhere and shop easily. Being so close to the airport gave us an extra half a day before leaving. We really enjoyed your extra's, the bed is excellent and the sheets a new level for us. The washer and dryer in the unit was wonderful. Thanks for providing all the little extras, condiments, laundry soap, all the paper stuff that we usually have to buy with other condo's. You've thought of everything. We used you information extensively and it was always right on. Receiving the deposit back in the 30 days was great. Now we have to get bedsheets that nice! | We had such a wonderful time while staying in this condo. Throughout our stay we felt very comfortable, as if we were at home. The condo has so many extras to offer a guest to make their stay amazing. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything one may need to make wonderful home cooked meals. This was such a plus for us while we stayed. We were looking for a mini vacation, and that is exactly what we got! If you choose to venture out, you are centrally located, making travel easy. We found the condo was a true "Home Away From Home" as we escaped from the B.C. winter for a month. The extras were noted & appreciated, the memory foam mattress topper, exceptional bed linens , Spa shower towels, lots of hot water, a fully equipped kitchen, etc., etc. Great location for us to get to everywhere easily and yet so secluded far off the road and the secluded beach was wonderful. Wow, what a great condo to stay in, just s perfect, beautiful and ideally located for touring. We stayed in Kapaa last time at Pono Kai and they cheap dumps, dirty, run down & no A/C. Now we are in a palace, so clean, well appointed, attention to detail, the doors, the 600 thread count sheets, all the extras, just so nice. The two A/C units really make it nice. Your guide book was very helpful, we tried many recommendations and you were never off. Pau Hana, Cafe Coco, Hamaras (the pie!!!) and the fine restuarants Gaylords, Coconuts great. The Botanical gardens were magnificant. It was our 25th aniversary and may be the 25 year highlight to all our travels. The place you stay makes such a big difference to any trip and you have provided an eleganant and romantic villa we will never forget. Mahalo

Our little family of three enjoyed your comfortable place. it was nice to BBQ, play in thr tide pools, and spend 1/2 a day at the Hilton Pools and waterslide. We enjoyed Kountry Kitchen (Kapaa) Monico's (Kapaa) and Kalapeki Joes (Nawiliwilli) also enjoyed walking the Mariott & seeing the georgeouys grounds and Kauai Lagoons. This trip we celebrated our 10 year wedding aniversary. Thank you for providing a family friendly (& clean) place for us to temporality call home. PS. Must go to Cafe Cocco! The best dinner & atmoshphere all week, great gumbo and Ahi. Also get some frsh fish Poki from the grocery stores.

Mahalo Monk, Kauai has been such a wonderful experience and adventure. We explored so many parts of the island from Tunnels beach (great snorkeling! to Waimea Canyon (amazing)! Larsens beach and the beautiful Polihale State Park. What a crazy road, I was certain we would be stuck in a pot hole!! But, we were fine and lived to tell the story. The food here was terrific (we ate dinner out every night) and the Smith Luau was very well done and entertaining. Thanks for sharing your bautiful condo. It was perfect!!! Thanks for the chocolates, too. Oh, the zip and dip is a blast, we highly recommend it.

This is a great place well set up to take day excusrisions around the entire island, the sunrises at the beach are spactacular. If you want to surf, the break at the south of the bathrooms at the playgrounds and it is a great reef break.The reef lights up with the sun at wild dog.We treid Shaka Taco in Kapaa on 2 occassions, I recommend you stay away. The poorest customer service we found on the island. My family had a great time thanks for the use of this great condo.

There are so many thoughtful things -- the large ice chest (which we used every single day of our two-week stay), the condiments, the two TVs with cable, and especially the high-speed Internet access, which is essential for me to continue my business while on vacation. The book of rental information, condo specifics and dining/activities suggestions was outstanding! The Pau Hana Grill & Bar is now also one of our favorites. For those considering staying here, TRUST ME -- we have even stayed at other condos in this complex as well as condos at Poipu and on the Big Island, Maui,Oahu and Molokai, and this one is absolutely hands-down the best. We enjoyed your Condo ever so much. We were on the go the entire time of our visit. With all the activities of the wedding, site seeing as much as we could, plus of course, squeezing in lots of shopping, we were extremely busy. It was such a treat to come back to the Condo "Our Retreat" relax, and get prepared for the next day. I had morning coffee on the patio, which was heaven. The grounds surrounding the Condo are like something from a magazine...absolutely beautiful and serene. I loved all the flowers, plants, birds and especially the roosters...,they are gorgeous! It was such a wonderful time. Hopefully one day we will be able to return.

We stayed in Monk and Tracy's condo August, 2007. It was a dream vacation we will remember forever. Their home is beautiful and comfortable, just like being in my own home. All the comforts are there only we were in Kauai! The location is ideal because it is central to all the island activities. We found Monk"s "Unofficial Guide" to be invaluable. We were happy with every restaurant and activity which was recommended. Favorites were snorkling at Po'ipu, zipping at Princeville Ranch, Kauai Helicopter flight, and Na Pali Catamaran. | We had a hard time deciding whether to stay north or south, then read that the Lihue area is a good place so you can get to the entire island easily. This was great advice, and we found the perfect centrally located condo with Mounque and Tracy's place. We found that we really, really liked the beaches on the north side of the island. The drive there was beautiful and not too long from here. We also enjoyed exploring the south and west areas, especially Poipu and Waimea. Nearly all of our paid activities, though, were near the condo (Jack Harter helicopter, Smith Family Luau, Kipu Ranch ATV tour, Keapana Horsemanship). In other words, this was the perfect location if you are still not sure where you want to be. This was our first stay in a condo, so we were thrilled to discover so many useful items such as water coolers for day trips, lunch size cooler, beach chairs, beach mats, beach towels, books to read while there, hiking guides, etc. And the famous "island guide" was great. It did not lead us astray. With that guide and The Ultimate Kauai Guidebook, we were set. Thanks for the great place, Mounque and Tracy, and thanks for ensuring that it stays smoke-free. It has just been remodeled, the kitchen is more then fully equiped, attention to details is plenty and the place located right were it should be, two air conditionings units, wonderful patio, good sugestions from Mounque and Tracy which made everything even easier for us to enjoy. | Monk, my wife and I spent a month in your very comfortable and well appointed condo. It's location is excellent for all the day trips and sightseeing we did. The beach is conveniently located for our morning walks. We also spent a month on Maui and would recommend Kauai in a heartbeat based on the dramatic scenery and less touristry crowds than Maui. With the Hilton being located on the property added a great additional feature of being able to enjoy nitely entertainment in the lounge with drinks and sandwiches at reasonable prices. Our favorite memories will be 1)Sunset Cruise to Napli Coast 2) Canyon sightseeing 3) Helicoter Ride 4)Kayak river trip 5)Sunset views from the Beach House and Hanalei Bay Resort(Nitely entertainment)in Princeville and all the great beaches. The condo Island Writeup Manual is a true asset for a condo renter because it affords personal experience of owner's indepth knowledge of island and it's surroundings which allowed me to chose items and activities I might be interested in vs. not knowing where to start. Please keep this up. |

| This condo is fantastic!! It is nicer than most peoples homes! You could not do better anywhere and that is coming from a local who rented this condo for visiting inlaws who are very picky. They did not really like the last two places we picked for them (Plantation Hale in Kapaa and Banyan Harbor in Lihue). Those places are nice enough but Tracy and Mounque's place is like the HYATT in comparison. I can assure you this place is awesome and you will love the location in between Hanalei and Waimea. Poipu and Kapaa are even closer in opposite directions. Lastly you can avoid the daily Kapaa traffic. |

We had a great time, the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, except full size salt and pepper which we bought, no big deal. The fact that there were plenty of towels, beach towels, beach mats, etc was really nice.
We loved the new patio furniture! We spent so much time out there enjoying the view and the peace and quiet. Our two favorite places from the write up are definately the Fish Express and Pau Hana Bar and Grill. We had lunch from Fish Express every day we could.
Thanks again, everything was great, also the washer and dryer is a great thing to have! Your write up was very helpful.

We had an amazing time during our 2 week stay in paradise. Kauai is beautiful and has so much to offer, it really is the dream vacation come true. We have been to Maui and Oahu and by far, Kauai is the most beautiful and relaxing of all.
This is the first condo we have booked online and it was exactly as it appears on the website, beautiful and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. The ceiling fans and sliding glass door give great air circulation. We are both designers and really enjoyed the interior remodel. The interior doors were beautiful. This condo has all the comforts of home and we felt relaxed right away. The chocolates and cookies were thoughtful.
Mounque is wonderful and made the process of renting very easy. Our
deposit was refunded right away. The island guide he provided was great. Pau Hana bar & grill is not to be missed...great fish tacos and friendly people. The Wyland drawings on the wall were a fun surprise! Kalapaki beach was our favorite spot, it was great watching the local surfers there.
We are recommending this condo to everyone and will look forward to staying here again. After coming back home to more record breaking cold temperatures mixed with snow and ice it won't be soon enough!

We were very pleased with our experience at our Condo we rented from Monque.
Monque was exceptionally responsive to us when we needed his help, and we look forward to future visits to this great spot in Kauai, because we know we have the place, and a staff we can trust. The other thing we loved about being there, is the location. It is an hour or a little more to ANY other part of the island. If we had stayed in Princeville, or Poipu, to see other popular parts of the island from those lacations would cost us a 3-4 hour (round trip) commute. By being on the east shore, we felt free to explore all the island, and not burdened with alot of driving. Also, the weather was just as good as other parts of the island as we looked at daily local island forcasts.
Monque wins our A grade rating.

My wife and I had a wonderful time in Kauai celebrating her 40th birthday. The condo was just as expected. A great location to enjoy either the North or South Shore.
We really enjoyed Hideaways Beach for Snorkelling. We also really enjoyed our Catamaran ride with HoloHolo Charters.
Also, your suggestions for restaurants was great. We wondered when entering "Aromas" as there was no one else there, but the food was the best we had anywhere. |

| We were so relieved to arrive at your condo after three days at Waikiki. It was so comfortable and Mounque, you were very accommodating. I've stayed at over 15 vrbo's over the year and usually we are expected to bring our own beach towels (which I had forgotten), and necessities such as salt and pepper and toilet paper. Mounque, you have a lovely condo!! We very much enjoyed the time we spent on the island. Kauai is such a beautiful place, but if you visit in the winter be prepared for mother nature. it rained much of the time, once so hard 3-4" in 18 hours we were glad we were on the second floor. We ate out at various places and the food was always good, the service varried. The best meal was the grilled Tuna and Sordfish with garlic prawns, french bread, ceasar salad and Mondavi Pinot Nior at ....... your condo. Time to head back, rumour has it our teenage daughter is missing us. Who would have ever thought! From our guest book in the condo.

| We just finished a trip to the Hawaiian Islands a week ago (we returned home on 3-1-06). We also stayed on the Big Island and Maui during our trip and rented a condo on Maui and a house on the Big Island and this condo on Kauai was the best of all. We felt more comfortable here than at the other 2 places we rented. Mounque called us during our stay to see how we were doing and that act was appreciated. This is a great condo and would recommend it to anyone. |

| Wow. We never expected a rental this nice. The deposit was refunded promptly. It is beautifully decorated, large and a real home with everything we could ever need and even more. The condiment drawer is a real extra. The free unlimited long distance was also great. The oceanfront property is beautifully landscaped. The location is so perfectly loctaed to easily get everywhere on the island and be close to all the main stores and airport. The golf course right next door was a big big plus. We could get in a quick morning and evening 9 in and then go off and do things. Thanks for all the tips in your "semi famous island write up" you are wonderful hosts. |

Beautiful property away from the highway with no noise, long beach to walk on, pool, juccuzzi and BBQ's close to the condo, nice tennis courts and having hotel facilities next door was a plus. Really located perfect for seeing the both sides of the island without long drives and right between Lihue and Kapaa made shopping and restuarants easy to get to. I will return. |

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at your beautiful Condo. It's the little touches that mean a lot as well as the things one expects. The decor was very tasteful and makes one feel very much at home. I was really impressed with the area as well...the closeness to the airport...all the amenities..the pool, jacuzzi and BBQs etc. The landscaping was very well kept and clean. I enjoyed the proximity to the good restaurants and shopping places. I would highly recommend your Conco to all my friends.

Really well equipped, better then we expected. Nice pool, whirlpool and bbq's. The property is secluded and a way from everything and the landscaping is lovely, lagoons, fountains, waterfalls, geese, and ducks. Near the airport so we did not have to pack and leave hours before our flight. Great deal and may be the best place we've stayed at. We will return. |
