We had 6 adults, and were very comfortable. The 3rd bedroom is a bit small, but 2 twin beds worked out fine for us. The baths were great, as was the kitchen. We had wonderful weather, and spent most free time outside, in the walled, garden area. We could walk to all the sights, but even with a full week, we couldn't see it all. Incredible food wherever we went. Loved the market in the morning for cappucino & sweets, as well as for fresh cheeses/veggies/meats. Trattorias and Gelato everywhere. Florence was a wonderful experience, and staying here made it that much better. Christina, you were a wonderful host...thank you! Judi, Patte and Company

We loved this apartment. It was beautifully designed and very comfortable. It was very spacious, and easily accommodated our crew of 3 adults, 1 toddler and a baby. In a great part of Florence - close to Santa Croce and the local market. Walking distance to all the main sites (past some great leather shops on the way!), but far enough away from the hotels and tourist areas that we could enjoy a sense of the real Florence. We were greeted by the owner on our arrival (even though we were 3 hours late!). She was very helpful and even provided a bus map, and a cot. She was also readily available if we needed help during our stay. I highly recommend this aparment and thank the owner for her assistance in making our stay so enjoyable.

| We spent a week in Florence, using this apt as our base. It is truly spacious, light and very well kept. It is conveniently located, as described, with a market nearby and many restaurants within easy walking distance. By Florence standards, this is a bargin at 1350 Euro. Chritina, the owner, is a delightful woman who was very helpful in arranging our visit. I would definitely stay here again when we return to Florence. |

This apartment was a fantastic find! My mother, mother-in-law, and husband stayed there for 10 days in November.
Christina was very courteous and helpful, even adjusting her schedule when our arrival flight was delayed. She was more than accommodating.
It is located right across the street from a wonderful restaurant that is higher price but higher quality and filled with locals! Did you know that it is also on the same street as Michelangelo's house, which is now a museum? Take a look, as you'll see some familiar paintings (the Ecce Homo and the Queen Elizabeth I portrait), even if it isn't filled with masterpieces that everyone goes to the Uffizi to see.
Gay patrons will be happy to note that it is a very short walk to the best gay bar in the city: Y.A.G.
Straight patrons will be happy to note that there is nightlife in the neighborhood.
In both cases, the apartment is far from the loud noise of pedestrians at night, but close enough to imbibe with the locals.
Electricity and heat is high if you like it warm in the house and bathe every day, like most Americans. We used a lot so we spent a lot. It was not a problem for us, as we were mindful that the dollar is weak and energy costs are high.
The third bedroom does NOT have a dresser and is private so long as the curtains are drawn. My mother-in-law didn't seem to mind, and Christina came up with a great solution to use part of the linen closet next to the room for her things.
We're definitely staying here again when we come to Florence! |
