One of the nicest perks about this cottage is the crabbing, fishing and swimming spot in the back of this cottage. We spent days crabbing and even saw a young lobster by a rock. The water is crystal clear and hard to resist to go for a dip. Dee-Dee's ice cream next door is a must! We enjoyed the sunrises and sunsets here at Peggy's Cove along with the comfort this cottage provided. Thank you for being so thoughtful.

Our week here at Peggy's Cove was too short. The Cottage was a great place to base our travels from. It was all we had hoped for and more. The end of our second stay and it gets better all the time. July '07 we discovered the pleasures of Nova Scotia from the beautiful base of the Fisherman's Cottage and its creature comforts. This late August trip brings different weather patterns that color the Cove in a different way - so endless photo ops! We loved every moment, and feel tied to this magical spot and to the friendships made here.

We drove 2700 kilometers on trips in Nova Scotia but were always glad to return to this charming spot. We've loved every minute and just when the novelty of the fog was wearing off, out came the sunshine to add to the beauty of the place. Peggy's Cove is a delight!

So…where should we start? A wonderful week! The Tattoo, Rhubarb Grille and Café, Mahone Bay, Halifax, the Peggy show, we could go on and on. In August of 2005 we spent two absolutely glorious weeks in Peggy's Cove, staying at Fisherman's Cottage. The cottage was supplied with more than we had hoped--even instructions for eating the lobsters that we cooked.
We were so comfortable sitting on the porch watching the "tourists" parade by or walking the rocks to watch the ever changing sea that we had to pry ourselves away to sight see.
Every one we met in the Cove was incredibly friendly. We know we will be back. |

"We had a wonderful time exploring the nooks and crannies of Peggy's Cove and the surrounding area. Joe was last in Halifax in 1945 when he was a young gunnery sailor in the Canadian Navy. Many memories came flooding back as we drove the streets and walked the wharf in Halifax. This was truly a family vacation we will all remember.
