Dear Bruce and Magdalena, Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed being back at your lovely home! We had a fabulous time. It was fun to explore Yellowstone again, not to mention the spectacular scenery! I think this is a good time of year to visit the park. We saw lots of elk, bison, bighorn sheep, the highlight being the big grizzly we saw on Saturday. My Mom really enjoyed it too, and she loved the house! Thank you for another perfect stay in your beautiful home - it could become our annual vacation. Hope we can get back this time next year again!

We were so fortunate to have such a wonderful place to spend a very memorable vacation. Being from Florida, the added excitement of snow with the spectacular landscape it produced, made pictures even more desirable. This cabin gave us a warmth and a refuge we loved in the evenings. Thank you for having such a well-stocked and comfortable cabin. We loved the decor with rustic yet luxurious amenities.

Thanks for having this beautiful home to share with everyone. We had a wonderful family vacation seeing all the beautiful sights in Yellowstone. The second set of baby items was very much appreciated. We were lucky to see the aspen trees start to turn to orange during our short visit. We are already planning our next family trip. I always enjoy looking out the front windows and seeing the mountains. Until our next trip,

Another memorable visit to Yellowstone. The fall colors were amazing. The animals did not disappoint. And the starts at night ... Our family really enjoyed our time here. Thank you for sharing your home with us. It is like a familiar piece of home. Looking forward to our next visit in a few years. Keep the light on ...

Bruce and Magdalena, We thoroughly enjoyed renting your house these past 3 weeks. The location was excellent and the setting was lovely. There are several things that we particularly appreciate about your home and want to commend you for these, in hopes that they will help you plan for future guests. We were grateful for:
1. The Kleenex in every room 2. The rechargeable flashlight (although we didn’t have to use it) 3. The flashlight by the key box 4. The soft linens and comforters 5. The extensive supply of wood (although we didn’t use it) 6. The high quality washer and dryer 7. The clear instructions provided prior to our visit and also available in your house 8. The cleanliness of the house 9. The gas grill and ample outdoor seating 10. The garage (which allowed extra storage space for fishing and hiking gear and for parking inside on frosty mornings) 11. The beautiful, functional décor; I particularly appreciated the flooring that did not show dirt easily 12. The well-equipped kitchen (including spices, griddle, utensils, apron, measuring cups and spoons) 13. Recycling 14. The well-equipped house, including ample towels and washcloths (we didn’t need to buy anything except food) 15. The opportunity to leave unused food in the refrigerator/freezer/cabinets 16. The blue ice and cooler 17. The guide books about the area 18. The location (easy access to West Yellowstone, YNP, Gallatin National Forest, hiking, fishing, grocery stores, restaurants) 19. The quiet setting; even though there are several homes nearby, we never were bothered by any sounds from neighboring homes 20. The maps on the staircase wall, clearly indicating location of the house 21. The large dining table and ample chairs, allowing a large group to dine together
We thoroughly enjoyed our time in your home. We are already thinking about the possibility of returning next year. Thanks again for providing such a spotless, beautiful place to escape! |

Thank you for the use of your great vacation home. Everything here at the house was fantastic. Our week started out chilly with low 50s for the highs, but by the end of the week mid 60s and low 70s, great sightseeing weather. Yellowstone was breathtaking. We have seen buffalo, elk, eagles but no bear sightings. It was the first for all in our group other than myself, I was here in 1968. Favorites were the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, Old Faithful, the valley areas where the elk and buffalo would gather. Thanks again,

We so enjoyed our week in your beautiful, well equipped cabin. We spent many lovely days in Yellowstone National Park. Highlights included hiking to Lily Pond Lake at the Grand Canyon, breakfast at the Old Faithful Inn, spotting lots of wildlife in the Hayden Valley, and watching osprey dive for fish at the Midway Basin. We also drove to Cody and visited the Buffalo Bill Historical Center - a long drive, but very beautiful, and the museum is great. We highly recommend taking the 1 1/2 hour drive to Virginia and Nevada City if you have kids. Our boys loved it! We also liked the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center. Thanks for providing such a great home base for our adventures! We would highly recommend Deer Meadow Vacation Home to any and all friends and relatives who are planning to visit Yellowstone! We have stayed in VRBO homes all over the world over the past twelve years, and your house was probably the nicest, cleanest, best-outfitted home we have had the privilege of renting. Thank you for providing such excellent accomodations and for your attention to detail!

Breathtaking! We enjoyed our week very much and wish we could stay longer and relax in this beautiful home. We enjoyed many days at Yellowstone and Grand Teton. Highlights were Firehole Canyon Drive with the gorgeous view and refreshing dips in the river (highly recommend, went 3x), Midway and Biscuit Basin, Old Faithful, and Hayden Valley with buffalo. Tonight we enjoyed a wonderful horse ride at Diamond P Ranch. The "boys" went fishing for rainbow trout and had a blast. Nights were spent playing croquet on the beautiful lawn. Do we have to leave? Thank you so much for this wonderful place to enjoy.

We had a great vacation here. We enjoyed the home and being able to grill and cook most nights. Yellowstone was fun to see for the first time for part of the family and great for those who had seen it before because it is always changing! Our group was our immediate family of three and one set of grandparents. Our daughter also enjoyed our day trip to the Tetons and the boat ride on Jenny Lake.

It is with sad thoughts that we leave the beautiful Deer Meadow Vacation Home. We would love to stay and enjoy this lovely setting longer! Alas, we must journey back to Texas with dreams of a future visit dancing in our heads. The six of us have enjoyed this beautiful home as if it were our own. We have been comfortable and well cared for by the gracious amenities and warmth of this home. The Bealls have thought of everything and finished the home throughout delightfully. Our granddaughters enjoyed all the games and the beautifully appointed landing (loft). We can't wait to return and enjoy Yellowstone and the Tetons in comfort. You are great hosts!

We have had an amazing time staying in this exquisite home. Since the day we arrived until our last moment, all our needs have been met by this wonderful home. Our group of 9 (7 adults and 2 three-year old girls) had plenty of space and all felt at home each day. The house was nicely situated out of town, allowing us the tranquility and peacefulness of returning to this special place each day. Thank you for providing such a wonderful home for our enjoyment. I'm sure we'll be back in the future!

What a joy it was to turn the corner and see our beautiful home for the week on June 7th at 10 PM. It was everything we hoped it would be and more. Every meal we prepared had the perfect dishes, utensils, and pans. We cared for the home as if it was ours. Our group consisted of our son and daughter, their spouses and our four grandchildren, which included two babies under 7 months old. Our days were packed with sightseeing! We leave at 5 AM tomorrow for the Bear Tooth Pass (Hwy 212), Devils Tower, and Mt. Rushmore. We have never been known as a family that takes relaxing vacations. We never want to miss anything for we may never pass this way again. May God Bless You!

This was our very first time visiting West Yellowstone or anywhere near Montana for that matter. We couldn't believe how much snow fell here these past few days! After all of the snow forts, snow ball fights, snow angels, etc. it was such a treat to come in to Deer Meadow for a warm fire, cup of hot cocoa, and family games. And when the sun finally came out on our last day here, we were blessed with an amazing view of the sunset behind the mountains. Next month dad leaves for a year-long deployment with the Navy. Our time here together will sustain us through this difficult separation ahead. This was a vacation that the Alvarado family will not soon forget, and it was all made possible because of this little heaven-on- earth that the Bealls call Deer Meadow Vacation Home. Thank you - from the bottom of our hearts! Robert and Carol, Noah, Jude, Abram and Anna Port Hueneme, CA.

What a beautiful mountain cabin with a view of whimsically named Lionhead Mountain. We used this cabin as our jumping off place to see Yellowstone. We highly recommend using Yellowstone Alpen Guides on Yellowstone Ave in West Yellowstone to make use of a short amount of time. We saw Old Faithful and Beehive geysers, and the wildlife sightings were amazing - a grizzly bear eating an elk carcass with two wolves lurking nearby, bighorn sheep on the cliffs near Tower Junction, two bald eagles by the river, bison, elk sitting on the lawns around Old Fort Yellowstone, and a snow shoe rabbit at Mammoth Hot Springs. A mule deer hopped right in front of our car - we avoided him thank God. We saw the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone - don't miss Artist Point and the Upper and Lower Falls. Wow! God's Handiwork everywhere here!

Jake (11 yrs) - Seeing the geysers, going to the rodeo and fishing with Dad. Watching "Old Yeller." Kristjan )4 yrs) - Watching Disney's "Yellowstone Cubs." Being carried on our hikes and the gift shop! and "staying in a house made of trees." Dustin - Watching the sunset over the mountains, mud pots, and soaking in the tub! Our 3-day stay proved to be very enjoyable. As previous visitors have mentioned over and over, the amenities were wonderful. My personal favorites were the washer and dryer, the very comfortable bedding and the cleanliness of the house. My husband found the house "homey." My children 12, 10, 8 and 4 years old enjoyed the satellite TV, cozy beds and the jacuzzi. We have stayed at other vacation homes which didn't provide nearly as much "extras." I specifically appreciated them as chief cook and bottle washer. I hope to have another restful night tonight, thanks to you!

There was six of us staying at this beautiful cabin. This was a surprise to our younger sister Sam, as a graduation gift. She just graduated from college. Two of us traveled from Colorado and four of us came from North Dakota. We all have many memories and photos to take home . . . for that we thank you very much. Our days were spent in Yellowstone National Park, the men went fishing and we shopped too! Our nights were spent relaxing here! We played cards and dice. Thanks for having everything here for us to use . . . it's much easier for those who travel. We are planning to return :)

Dear Bruce and Magdalena,
A very heartfelt thank you for sharing your lovely cabin home with us. Never in our wildest dreams could we have imagined Deer Meadow to be as comfortable and accommodating to our every need. Such thought was put into every aspect of this home - interiorly and exteriorly. It says a lot about its owners.
Andreas and I were able to see part of all three states in this area and were basically speechless with every turn. We just returned from a loop through Yellowstone to Gardiner, Livingston, Bozeman, Gallatin Gateway (ate lunch at a cute place called The Gourmet Gas Station with incredible views), then back to West Yellowstone. Yellowstone National Park is one of a kind and truly incredible, but outside the Park is just as stunning. Andreas felt like he was back in Austria! Thank you so much and Danke , Lynn and Andreas Retter, Omaha, NE.
P.S. Even though it rained all day yesterday, we saw a full rainbow outside the front door!

We so enjoyed your home! As so many guests have noted, we really appreciated your personal touches! The fully equipped kitchen and wonderful washer and dryer were my personal favorites! We took advantage of having the crock pot so that after our days of hiking, we could come home to a warm meal all ready!
Our family would highly recommend this vacation home plus Montana White Water Rafting, Yellowstone Wilderness Outfitters (horseback riding through the park), West Yellowstone Rodeo, Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center (2-day tickets!) and the incredible trails within the park! We used your book on day trips within the park and found it very helpful! We saw a grizzly on the Wraith Falls Trail and a black bear and cub on Black Tail Deer Plateau - very cool! We also saw many buffalo, elk, an eagles nest and antelope. Our family had a great experience! Thank you for everything!

Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with our family! We have had a wonderful time. I came to Yellowstone 60 years ago with my parents and sister. In 1972, we brought our daughters here and now I've made the trip with my grandchildren. Thank you for helping us create wonderful memories. Continued blessings to you and your family!

This was the first "real" vacation we have been able to take (from work) in 19 years and the only regret we've had since coming here, is having to leave! :( The house was truly amazing and you've put so much thought into everything! We had a great adventure in coming here and did not use the alarm clocks once!! :) Yellowstone was really exciting, along with the Tetons. The last day here, we were actual 'tourists' and went to the shops downtown, along with the Discovery Center. We had a really great time and will definitely tell all of our friends/relatives about your home! Thank you! Joe, Marti, Brad, Jacqui & Becci Dagenais

When we arrived we couldn't believe how nice, comfortable, and clean the house was! We had such a wonderful time in Yellowstone, and having such a wonderful place to stay was a big part of that! We have really enjoyed our stay at your beautiful home. We have gotten to see every animal Yellowstone has to offer. The weather was perfect. This is an experience our girls will always cherish with their grandparents. We also enjoyed rafting at Big Sky "Montana Whitewater". Bruce and Magdalena,
We feel so blessed to have the opportunity to come to such a beautiful place and rest in your home. The house surpassed our expectations in every way - amenities and comfort. My only wish was to have more time here! It was difficult to make myself go to bed and shut my eyes to the night sky.
Our kids had a great time with their own upstairs 'retreat,' and comfy beds. Thank you for the fantastic hospitality.

We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation, not the least of which was your beautiful house. After our days spent at Yellowstone, it was good to return in the evening to a quiet and serene environment as this vacation home.
I travel a lot for my job. Most of the time, I stay at very nice hotels. But, when we go on vacation I avoid hotels, and look for a house or a cabin to rent. I must say this cabin exceeded our expectations. Patty and I enjoyed our stay immensely. Thank you!

We really enjoyed the stay in Montana. Great skiing and snowmobiling put the icing on the cake. Your house was everything we imagined and a lot more. We too live in the mountains of western North Carolina, but I believe your views top ours by far. Hope to return again in the near future to enjoy the summertime season, as well. Thanks again. BRUCE AND MAGDALENA: DECEMBER 23-26 2006 We enjoyed your vacation home, this Christmas holiday. Your home is A+ in everything; the peace and quiet and the view were grand. My kids loved the snow-machining with the trails being so close to the house. We have come to "WEST/ISLAND PARK" for 10 years now, for Christmas, but this visit has been the most UNIQUE! I must add that I took some of my one son's senior school pictures at the cabin. Using the cabin and furnishings as a back drop, really made Adam's pictures neat. THANK YOU AGAIN! We really enjoyed visiting Montana. Your cabin is wonderful. We snowmobiled into Meadow Creek Lodge, the men (some of them) skied at Big Sky, and we also looked at property close to Ennis. We have been camping along the Madison River since 1982. This was our first trip without campers. The cold temperature amazed us but we were very comfortable in your cabin. The fireplace was wonderful.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. We have a lot of good memories to take home with us. We had a great time fishing. We actually got sun, rain, sleet, snow, all in the same day. Although the wind was a little cold at times, we are not looking forward to high 90s at home.
We saw a bull moose and female less than 1 mile west of here an wonder if it is their tracks through the yard. Saw lots of animals in the park. Thanks again,

Dear Bruce and Magdalena,
Deer Meadow Vacation Home provided the perfect base for a great vacation. The house is conveniently located a quarter mile from Highway 20, which is a straight 10 minute drive to West Yellowstone and the west entrance. This made it very easy for us to travel to Yellowstone Park, Wyoming, Montana and Idaho.
With all its woodwork details, the superclean house is a craftman's dream. We enjoyed the beautiful pictures, fixtures and accessories, as well as the comfortable sofas, chairs and beds, the helpful tourist books and maps, the Yellowstone DVD and books, fishing books, CDs, DVDs and TVs, the new appliances and instruction manuals, the large cooler and the blue ice, and the yummy huckleberry jam.
We saw beautiful views from inside the large upstairs windows and outside on the cozy lounge chairs and deck chairs. The large enclosed garage provided storage room for our car, hiking and fishing items. The landscape design is wonderful, and when the grass, plants and trees mature, the property will be even more beautiful.
The Bealls have paid attention to large and small details, and it shows! This wonderful vacation home has it all! Thank you,

Dear Bruce and Magdalena,
Thank you so much for the perfect vacation home. We were so pleased with the design and architectural details as well as the beautiful furnishings. We have rented many vacation homes and none came close to your thoughtful and much appreciated attention to detail: the quality of bedding and linen, the fully stocked kitchen and all those extras. Paper products, dish soap, foil, coffee filters and laundry soap are all items we've had to run out and purchase in other rentals. It's so wonderful of you to provide these.
Your home was the ideal place to come home to after each day in Yellowstone. We really enjoyed spotting all the wildlife (bison, elk, pronghorn, bald eagles, black bear, wolf, pika, deer), seeing the geysers, whitewater rafting and hiking. But returning to your home each evening was so nice and relaxing. We especially appreciated the jacuzzi after hiking to the top of Mount Washburn!

My family and I just returned home from Yellowstone and all agree that it is one of the best vacations we've ever had!! Yellowstone and Grand Tetons are so beautiful and the people we met there were so very friendly that we wish we could have stayed longer!
But one of the best things about this vacation was staying at the Beall's lovely home in West Yellowstone. From the minute we walked in the door, we were so impressed with their home and all the amenities it offers. As all have previously stated, the decor is just beautiful with lots of attention to detail. The furniture, the comfortable beds, the fine linens were all top of the line quality. The fully equipped kitchen was quite impressive and the washer and dryer were so convenient when vacationing away from home.

The home itself was as clean as a whistle and had that air of freshness that comes with a new home. It exceeded our expectations. The beds were particular comfortable as were the couches on both levels. And who doesn't like two large satellite televisons!
The trip to the quaint entry village of West Yellowstone was a just quick jaunt away. There were any number of restaurants and gift shops, not to mention the several ice cream stores! Then another few feet and you were in Yellowstone National Park. Thanks for making your home available, I felt a sense of melancholy in having to leave. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

Thank you so much for providing this lovely home-away-from-home. Everything was perfectly clean and beautifully decorated. The air-conditioning was great since it was in the upper nineties for most of our visit! The house was a great home for our exploring all over Yellowstone, Virginia City/Nevada City (advice: go on the weekend), the Tetons, Jackson (advice: avoid in the busy season), and a little bit of Idaho - after our long days it was wonderful to have comfortable beds waiting for us! You were right, The Three Bears has a good restaurant. We also enjoyed Sydney's Bistro - it's only been open a few weeks but YUMMY! During our stay we saw many forms of wildlife: lots of elk and buffalo, chip monks, squirrels, rabbits, bald eagles, golden eagles, a muskrat and a grizzly bear in Yellowstone. Plus we visited the Discovery Center and saw bears and wolves up close - they also have a very neat program for kids. And on our first morning a mama and baby moose ran through the neighborhood! |

Bruce and Magdalena,
Your house is even nicer than the pictures! You did a great job of having lots of extras like the high chair, cooking spices, cooler, reading materials, etc. You have beautiful taste in decor - rustic and cozy yet bright and roomy too! We felt like we had more than enough room for the 6 of us. My kids (9,6,2)loved the loft and I felt the house was very safe for our curious two year old. This house was a great home-base for touring Yellowstone and a quick ride to town.
Just behind your house, off on Bull Elk Rd, we saw a female moose and her baby! The Diamond P down the road was great for horseback riding, very safe and informative. The West Yellowstone Rodeo had my boys (9, 7 and 2)mesmerized (when we realized that Cody was too far we tried this one), and Geyser Whitewater in Big Sky was great too for rafting! The July 4th fireworks in West Yellowstone were spectacular!
We saw two grizzlies in Yellowstone, a black bear, elk, buffalo, wolf, coyote and moose.
Also, you two were so great about getting back to me immediately whenever I asked you questions or called - thanks for that!
We hope to try a different season at your beautiful home! Thanks for the movies too - I can't beleive my kids sat quiet through Dances with Wolves!

The surroundings are gorgeous with easy access to the National Park. In addition, the owners have thought of simply everything to make your trip perfect. The furniture is comfortable, the beds and linens amazing, and the kitchen equipped better than our own. Our group ranged in age from 60 to 2 years of age. Each of us found something especially relaxing as well as fun to do during our stay. Thanks to Bruce and Magdalena for making the entire process from first contact to the goodbye such a pleasure! Bruce & Magdalena, Our family of 8 had a wonderful time in your beautiful vacation home, after our June 2, 2006 wedding in Bozeman. The large spaces accommodated everyone very comfortably. We could all be together for meals, or playing cards and boardgames. Some of us watched tv, while others cooked or read books in other areas of the home. We toured Yellowstone for a full day, and the park was so close we were home by dinner time. We are planning to have future family reunions there because of it's convience to the park and to the many trails at the end of the street. Some of our relatives chose to stay at the Motel 8 across the street then join us for meals. Thanks for having such a well stocked kitchen for a large group, we found everything we needed to prepare great meals for 10. Keep up the good work.

Homeowner Response:
Owner's note: Our vacation home setting is rural and quiet. The single motel in the area, referred to above, is actually about 3/4 of a mile away and isn't within sight of the vacation home. It is a convenient place for others to stay if your party is larger than 8 but I wanted to explain that it is not "across the street" as loosely stated above. Bruce Beall, Owner

This was our first trip to the Yellowstone area during the winter. It surely was a great vacation. I have booked only one vacation home on-line before, and was a bit apprehensive, but after sending a few emails to Bruce, I felt very comfortable things were on the up and up.
All the information provided by the Bealls was “as advertised”. The Bealls were very prompt in answering email and provided cell and home telephone numbers. The photos in the listing do not do this property justice. It is a fantastic home with everything one would need to have a nice relaxing visit.
The snowfall was also abundant. It snowed everyday we were there. We snowmobiled directly from the cabin onto some great trails very near the home which connected into the entire snowmobile trail system, it was very convenient.
The Bealls were also available to answer any questions we had about the home and were very gracious hosts.
Thanks Bruce and Magdalena, see you next year!

11/23 - 11/27/05 "Thanksgivign Holiday 2005" What a treat to be the first guests at Dear Meadow to celebrate our annual Thanksgiving "trek" to West Yellowstone Ski Festival: From the "greeting" of crackers and jam, to the smell of turkey cooking for dinner with the well-stocked kitchen, to the warmth of the fire crackling while watching the snow fall outside, it was a memorable stay. We will also remember reading the appliance manuals to make sure we did everything right! 4" of fresh snow greeted us Saturday am so we could enjoy the skiing not far from the cabin. Well done, Bealls ..... Deer Meadow is definitely worth a return visit. Thanks! |
