THE PICTURES CANNOT DO IT JUSTICE! YOU HAVE TO SEE IT TO BELIEVE IT! It is very much proven that this house was built with a lot of care and attention to detail. This house has it all! Great beach front, 3 bedrooms, a pool, living room, American TV (if you'd rather watch TV than enjoy paradise), great snorkeling, kayaks, and it's close to Tulum! Not to mention, a great cook. Lily took care of us all week. We definitely did not starve. I recommend this to anyone. Once you've done this, you'll never want to go back to the all inclusives!

An oasis for the body and spirit. Definitely the best we have experienced. Lisa and Andrea run a 1st class operation-one feels at home immediately and very secure. Lilly, Hosea and Lilly's daughters give above excellent service to the guests here. An absolute must is Lilly's cooking! The casa is immaculate and the pool is so clean and refreshing! What a special spot in paradise.

What a relaxing vacation. Is is so beautiful here. Lisa and Andre have a Class A operation here. Lily is a fabulous cook-definitely take advantage of her cooking. And the house is always spotless. No creepy insects here. Our daughter loved the pool, although the patio around the pool is very slippery. The beach is not very swimmamble due to rocks and coral, but if you get out a little ways, the snorkeling is great. A tip, there is a reef in front of Freedom Paradise that had tons of fish and we saw a ray. Also a must see if you have children or just like monkeys is The Junle Place-a spider monkey reserve. Look up directions under their spot on the loco gringo web site. We got to interact with the younger monkeys-they are all rescues. If you want peace and quiet and no chores, this is the place to be!

Talk about Paradise!!! We stayed a week in July. Words cannot describe this beautiful home!!! Lisa and Andre are wonderful hosts. Having Lily cook meals is an absolute must. The food is fabulous!! The house was perfect, the ocean view is breathtaking. You can do as little or as much as you want and have a fabulous time. Snorkerling is wonderful!! We enjoyed taking the kayaks out daily. Be sure to check out the different Cenotes in the area. We had six people in our group and had all the privacy we needed. We highly recommend this place and hope to visit again soon!

Hurricane Wilma decided to interrupt our vacation but the shortened stay was worth the stress that I'm assuming Trisa and me will experience at the Cancun Airport later today. Andre, Lisa and Lilly have been fantastic and of course the home is very accommodating. Having been to numerous beach vacation areas around the world, Costa Del Sol Spain, Canary Islands, Southern Turkey, Aruba and even Japan, this has by far been the most relaxing and peaceful location. Which is just what Trisa and me needed after a summer of hustle and bustle in the Baltimore/Washington D.C. area.

Perfection... Andre and Lisa are excellent hosts. It is a beautiful house in a perfect location. Plenty of privacy, a great palapa, excellent fishing and snorkeling right out the back door.

We will be back.

This villa could not have worked out
any better for the eight of us. Lily's
cooking was outstanding and should be
utilized whenever possible to get a
real sense of the local cuisine. Lisa's
advice for local activities was
reliable and happily given. The villa
itself was well equipped and spotlessly
clean.

We have no hesitation in recommending
this property to anyone!

Can not say enough good things about the beauty and comfort of Casa Caribena. From the moment we walked thru the front door we felt welcomed and at home. There were 8 of us and not once did any of us feel we didn't have the privacy we needed.

Each bedroom is air conditioned but we didn't use it once we became acclimated to the humidity. The sound of the water was the best thing to put you to sleep at night.

Walks on the beach, sitting under the palapa reading or watching the water. Laying in the pool and talking....all made for a wonderful week. The snorkeling straight out the front door was one of the highlights of the trip.

Suggest you take advantage of the wonderful cooks, whether it's Beda (at least I think that's her name) and Lily.

There is lots to do if you wish to leave Casa Caribena. A day trip to Playa Del Carmen and a ferry ride to Cozumel is always fun. We chose not do some of the touristie things like Xel-ha. Swam in the Manatee Cenote, had a beer at Casa Cenote, ate the pasta at Blue Sky (good but a little pricey). Did a 2 hour snorkle trip with the Tankah Inn dive shop. Well worth the $20 a head.

We'll be back, all 8 of us. Already thinking about next years trip. ENJOY!!!!!!!

The end of a fantastic week in this wonderful house. I could not ask for a better location or a better experience. The care that is put into the entire package is clear from start to finish. This will definitly be the first of many trips to this house. Anyone looking for a first rate house can stop looking now.

What more can be said about how wonderfull Casa Caribena is. We travel quite a bit and have now come back to Casa Caribena for three years in a row. This past trip we spend like the rest. RELAXING under the palaypa doing nothing. I did however snorkel quite a bit this past trip. There is so much marine life out in the bay with no waves. Its great! Lily is wonderfull and we had a great time again. Thank you. If you have any worries about renting a villa in Mexico..DON'T!! This one is a keeper.

When we arrived at Casa Caribeña,
night had already fallen, but Lily was
there to greet us, open the house,
light candles for ambiance, and left
us a cazuela full of her delicious,
freshly-made salsa. The next
morning we awoke to a splendid
sunrise, which topped itself each day
of the week we were there. Every
morning my eyes popped open just
before dawn, early enough to enjoy
coffee on the back veranda and
watch the osprey dive from her perch
to catch breakfast for her chick who
waited and peeped hopefully until its
mother returned. In the quietness of
dawn and dusk, it was easy to see
and hear the "critters" of the beach
going about their business--hermit
crabs, herons, lizards, mapaches
(little raccoons), pelicans, tree frogs,
and, of course, the ospreys.

I could not have imagined a more
beautiful, well-appointed house than
Casa Caribeña, with the tradewinds
breezing through from room to room
across its white-tiled floors. You fall
asleep to the sound of the waves
lapping the shoreline. And I've never
enjoyed a lovelier view when stirring
beans in the kitchen than the one of
the blue Caribbean shimmering in
the window above the stove! Late
afternoon swims in the pool are so
refreshing, and as evening falls, the
parakeets in the aviary chirp and
chatter as they jockey for their places
on the perch, Mars appears above
the house as the first and brightest
star, and when it is completely dark,
one can float in the pool, look straight
up, and see the Milky Way.

And who can say enough about Lily?
She is so warm and friendly, and very
was kind to us. She helped us
enormously in our feeble attempts to
cook traditional dishes like pollo
pibil and flan, and we all ended up
laughing at ourselves in the kitchen
and having a wonderful time.

Casa Caribeña is magical, and we
enjoyed all of our experiences there,
including kayaking at sunrise,
exploring the ruins at Coba,
snorkeling and swimming with the
dolphins at Xel-Ha, even buying hot,
fresh tortillas at the tortilleria in
Tulum. We were very sad to leave,
and are equally anxious to return next
year.

All we can say is FANTASTIC! when describing our too short week at Casa Carabena. The house was cool & comfortable, very clean and decorated beautifully. Lilly was a dream, cooking wonderful meals and keeping the place spotless. We felt so pampered. The snorkeling was great right out of the back door but there was an abundance of other activities as well. We just got back two days ago and are still resting up after all of our fun. We went with another couple and were very comfortable with the size and privacy afforded but I can see it would be a great family place. Thank you, Lisa and Andre for an unforgettable vacation.

"Welcome to your Hacienda," was the greeting from the housekeeper/cook, Lily as she opened the front door to our week in paradise. Casa Caribena holds you in its spell from the moment you arrive - from the inviting & spacious interior to the gentle sea breezes, white sands & coral reefs just a few feet away. Lily's fabulous cooking wafting through the casa & served under the palapa facing the turquoise waters was a dream. Geckos greeted us each morning with the magnificent sunrises & we ended our evenings in the pool gazing at the stars. We fell in love with the home & beach on their website & knew this "paradise" was where we would renew our wedding vows, not knowing that our hosts would surprise us with a lovely & quite large bouquet of flowers to use for our ceremony. An aura of peace & tranquility filled our spirits and remains with us today. Though it was hard to leave - plans are being made to return once more to "our hacienda" and we thank our hosts, Andre and Lisa for sharing their slice of paradise with us. Casa Caribena - let it capture your hearts as it has ours.

EXCELLENT, Our best vacation to date. Definitely a high-end property complete with many amenities. Lisa & Andre' are very pleasant and accomodating. Lily is a great cook with a charming personality. We stayed for two weeks in June '03 and were extremely comfortable at the Villa at all times, never running out of things to do, finding it hard to leave when our time was up. If you don't feel like going out, the snorkeling at the reef right out the back door is very convenient and an experience to remember. Daniel's [Mayan Shaman] massage is the best and getting a facial, manicure or pedicure under the palapa with the scenery and breeze as a backdrop should not be missed. They come straight to your door and perform your pampering with the waters edge a mere 30ft. away. At night stargazing in the lounges on the beach or in the comfortable pool is phenominal. For more excitement or a major shopping fix Playa Del Carmen is only a 25min. drive away. Great deals there. Oscar y Lalo's restaurant is but a 3min. drive from the Casa and is great - thats where they filmed the Corona commercials. The Casa is close to the Mayan ruins of Tulum and Coba with Chichen Itza making a great day trip. The village of Tulum is right down the highway and must also be experienced. Great rental for family with kids as the long beach and close proximety to Xel-Ha, a ecopark complete w/ dolphins, gives much to do and remember. Casa Caribena is large with spacious rooms kept spotless and inviting. Complete with cook/maid service so you don't have to lift a finger puts this place over the top. We give it a AAAA++++ RATING in every aspect and in fact are definitely planning a return visit. Many great lifetime memories were made here. Feel free to e-mail for additional comments...

Lisa and Andre have created a seaside paradise here. Casa Caribena is clean, quiet, comfortable and more beautiful than the pictures. The staff is friendly and very accomodating. You will not regret this choice for your vacation on the Riviera Maya.

Words cannot describe how wonderful this place is. My wife and I have traveled quite a bit and rate this destination at the top of our list. Clean, pretty, comfortable, modern are just a few of the words needed to describe this property. We have already planned a return visit in May 2003. I would be more than happy to field and questions or concerns you may have. Its hard to know what you are getting based upon a few photos or reviews but again I can assure you that Casa Caribena is worth a look and that I highly recommend it.
