Thank you, Marina, for everything you did to make our trip to Rome so perfect.
Before we left New York, a few people looked at me askance and asked why we were staying so close to the Vatican--and, presumably, so far from everything else in Rome. Well, the location of the apartment is absolutely perfect; it could not have suited us more. I had been to the Vatican as a kid, but Cathy had wanted to visit for many years. With her current mobility challenges, I guessed being just a few blocks away from St. Peter's would enable her to make several short trips there over our three days, mingled in with our other sightseeing. I know now that I was right.
The two restaurants you recommended right on via Catone were superb; we became "regulars." Such sauces! Such pizza! Such soup! Such pasta! We made little piggies of ourselves.
The apartment itself is charming...exactly what we'd hoped for. We loved being able to look out the windows and stroll down the street and see a real Rome neighborhood. I am glad we chose not to stay in a large, impersonal hotel where the staff might be attentive but not genuinely concerned. On the other hand, it was such a delight for us that you took the time to orient us to the city to ensure we would enjoy our too-brief stay.
Thanks again for helping to make our Roman Holiday so enjoyable. I hope we may meet again. |

| We had a most delightful stay of four nights in Pietro and Marina's apartment. It is wonderfully located minutes from the Vatican and Metro station. The shopping along via San Rienzo was fabulous and included a full grocery and fruit/vegetable market only blocks away. The apartment was light and airy and very comfortable. We would definately stay here again when we return to Rome. |

We stayed in this beautiful apartment for 5 days in June and it was absolutely FABULOUS!!! Marina greeted us at the apartment with delicious pastries and a bottle of wine! She was sooo helpful by having a list of wonderful restaurants to go to and what sites to visit. We tried several of the restaurants and they were fabulous. The apt was very roomy and the washing machine was fantastic. The AC worked wonderfully. The kitchen was very spacious and the apartment was very clean and in a fabulous neighborhood. We had plenty of room for my husband and me and my 2 sons. It was only a 5-minute walk to the Vatican and to the Metro station to go anywhere in the city. We will definitely be back again!! Thank you so much Marina!! Denise & Dino

We spent four days in this apartment with our one year old son in June 2009. Marina and Pietro were fabulous as was the apartment. They set up a car service to be waiting for us at the airport and take us to the apartment. Even though our plane was over 6 hours late and we didn't arrive until almost midnight, Marina and Pietro still met us at the apartment with a bottle of wine and homemade treats. They provided us with a list of restaurants to try out (which we used every night and they were all fabulous), tour books, and any other Rome information we needed. The apartment was perfect and it was really nice to have the washer/dryer available and the air conditioning was much needed in the June heat. We already miss it and cannot wait to go back.
The location was fabulous. It took us about 5 minutes to walk to the Vatican and 35 minutes to walk to the archeological area although there was a very convenient metro stop right next to the house as well as buses and trams.
We will definitely recommend to our friends and hopefully go back one day! |

| Our family of 3 stayed at Marina's April 9-15, 2009. We do travel a lot but that was the best trip ever! Apartment is very nice and location is perfect. Marina is amazing hostess, she arranged a taxi from the airport, met us when we arrived, had some vine and yummy bread to snack on. She showed us a lot of places to visit, eat and shop "as locals do".The building is very close to everything, we walked all over Rome with no problem. We would absolutely recommend Marina and Pietro"s apartment for your stay! |

The apartment is exactly as pictured. We went the last week of January 2009. The apartment is in a great location. Close to shopping, grocery stores, restaurants, and Saint Peters, etc. We were able to walk to many locations. The bus lines and metro station are within block's of the apartment. The apartment was well appointed and quiet. Pietro and Marina are wonderful, very helpful and gracious in providing information about the area. They arranged taxi service to/from the airport. We look forward to our next trip to Rome and staying in their apartment! Would highly recommend without reservations. Have fun, we did.

| We really enjoyed staying in this apartment during our recent visit to Rome. Beautiful, clean, and great location! Marina was so helpful at check-in and she made us feel very welcome, both in the apartment and in Rome. We hope to make it back someday, and we will definitely stay here! PS, very child-friendly! |

| We had the chance to stay at this great apartment for 2 nights in September. We loved the apartment- it was very spacious, clean and modern - even better than described on this site. Marina was extremely welcoming and helpful in providing information on the sites of Rome. If we ever have the opportunity to go to Rome in the future, we will definitely stay here. The location was fantastic - walking distance to the Vatican and other locations. Thank you! |

| WOW! Marina and Pietro are incredible. They treat guests like family. When we arrived Marina gave us a two hour overview of the city. She provided local maps and recommended restaurants, etc. She also gave us her cell phone number and she also arranged our transportation in from Rome for which we are very grateful. The apartment is in a lovely area very near the Vatican. It is clean, beautiful and has lots of light. It has a great neighborhood feeling. There is a nearby large fresh food market and many small shops. We will only stay with her next time we are in Rome. We miss Marina and Rome a lot! |

| We enjoyed our stay at this apartment. Marina was very helpful. She gave us excellent tips on sight seeing, shopping and dining. The apartment is well kept and spacious. It is very conveniently located to Vatican which allowed us to beat the crowds by going early. The apartment is well connected to Metro and Autobus. It is in a very nice neighborhood with good restaurants and shopping places. We have no hesitation in recommending this place. |

My wife and I spent our 40th wedding anniversary in Italy with the final week in Rome. This apartment was great. Very Clean and bright. It is in an ideal neighborhood for getting to all the sites. It so close to the Vatican you can check the lines for the museum easily. We spotted a short one that was about a 20-minute wait and got in quickly
We also enjoyed a walk to the Spanish Steps from this area. The restaurants and shopping nearby was so much fun. We went back to some many times. Also you can walk to an open-air market within a few blocks. ... this is where the local people shop… very authentic.
The décor and comfort was better than staying in any hotel. I would recommend it highly to anyone. We plan on staying there again on our next visit. Because my wife had a bad knee, we really appreciated the elevator to the fifth floor where the apartment has the best view of the neighborhood.
The apartment has selection of interesting books on the books shelves. Although most written in Italian, I found a fun read in an English one. The book about Rome in the year 1527 provided a finale to the trip on the long flight back the US.
This apartment was a great place to stay and enjoy Rome. Thanks to Marina and Pietro.

Our Stay was the best vacation we every had. Were were in Roma for Easter 2007.
The apartment was just what we needed for our 8 days in Roma. We had 5 people stay in the apartment. Marina was a gracious host and met us at the apartment, went over many things and answered all our questions. The apartment is very close to the Vatican and 15 min from metro, 5 min from bus/trolley.
Staying in an apartment instead of a hotel was the best decision we every made. It gave us the freedom we needed for our vacation. I think the best part was that we were in a neighborhood where the citizens of Roma live. The area is very safe.
When we return to Roma, we will again rent this apartment.

My family and I stayed at Marina and Pietro's lovely apt. in Rome for almost one week. I can't say enough about both their hospitality and kindness, and how much we loved the apt. They both greeted us with a very warmly, answered all our questions, and suggested places for us to visit during our stay. We felt like we had found long lost friends. Marina arranged for a car to pick us up and take us to the airport, which made for a very stressless trip. The apt. was so sweet, with very comfortable beds. It was very well situated, quiet and extremely clean. Wouldn't you know it, as soon as we arrived to Rome our son came down with a virus. He had a high fever for three days. Pietro was so incredibly helpful. He arranged for us to see an English speaking pediatrician, and called to make sure our son was doing well. We were so grateful to have been in such a lovely apt. while he was ill. It was spacious, light, and had all that we needed. I hope we can reciprocate their kindness when they come to visit N.Y. They are truly remarkable people! |

This is a homey and comfortable place to base in the city in a neighborhood that is bustling with Roman life, not just tourist traffic. The place is well laid out and appointed with a sense of both fun and practicality. It is genuinely comfortable and welcoming with a very useable kitchen and large bathroom . Marina and Pietro offer generous support to visitors, we would love to come again. |

| This is a wonderful apartmentto stay when visiting in Rome. It is decorated in a charming fashion, and the kitchen and bathroom are clean and bright - and have everything you need. It is centrally located- across the street from the Vatican -and you can walk to all the tourist spots - like Piazza Navona and Piazza del Popolo.Wonderful restaurants and cafes. Marina is terrific and helped us with travel plans and future destinations to Positano. We loved watching World Cup Soccer in our Roman apartment. |

| Marina and Pietro are great hosts and the apartment is exactly as advertised. I have been to Rome 3 times, and never have I found a place so close to the Vatican, yet in a residential enough neighborhood that you feel like you are around Romans instead of tourists. I must have bothered Marina 10 times with e-mails and questions, and she always replied kindly and promptly. If you are travelling alone or with your spouse, this is a great place to stay. |

We (2 persons) took this apartment for a week in May 2006. The apartment was very comfortable and convenient for us, and the advice and support from Marina & Pietro was terrific. The apartment was far enough away from crowded areas like the Spanish Steps to feel like a real place and has many good local restaurants, shops, and a local farmer's market, but close in enough to allow ample sightseeing (and is only a few blocks from the Vatican). Fabio (the portiere)was very friendly and helpful. We especially appreciated the time Pietro and Marina took to meet us at the apartment, their excellent recommendations for local services and restaurants, and the Blue Car service they recommended and booked for us - it was much more convenient than the train from the airport and the driver got us from Fiumicino to the apartment in less than 45 minutes -- an amazing feat, as I now know from driving out of Rome from the apartment myself. We would definitely rent this apartment again if in Rome. Bernard & Megan, Albany, CA, USA.

| This was a terrific apartment to stay in! We loved the high ceilings, the nice building and the great location. This part of Rome is really a wonderful area to stay in. It is a less congested part of the city and had many good restaurants within a few blocks. It was really terrific to have someone like Marina tell us the authentic Italian places to eat and other suggestions - making it so easy to really enjoy our visit to Rome. She made it very easy to book and we had absolutely no problems. She also scheduled our rides to and from the airport which made things so simple. We truly thought it was great and have already recommended it to friends! |

| We just got back from a week in Rome and loved this apartment. The apartment was a great space and a great home base to have while in Rome. It is especially conveniently located to the Vatican sights which worked out great for us. But the rest of Rome is easily accessible on foot or at the nearby subway station (3-5 minute walk away). The place is recommended and highly recommended if you plan to spend a good amount of time at the Vatican. |

| Our reaction to this apartment was love-at-first-sight. It was just as described on VRBO or better. The apartment is wonderfully decorated. It’s in a beautiful building which probably represents the most livable of Italian architecture. The 18-inch thick walls and new windows provided amazing sound-proofing against the ubiquitous Roman traffic. The portiere was a big help with moving in and out and getting us to the airport on time. The nearby food market (farmers’ market in the U.S) was a highlight of our trip, and there is a wonderful “supermercato” a few minutes away. It’s a short walk to the subway. The bus that stops across the street goes to almost all of the popular Roman attractions, and it really is only a few minutes walk to the Vatican. Perhaps because the neighborhood is less touristy than some, the local merchants were very helpful and friendly and very tolerant of our problems with the language. And Marina, who handles the rentals for the owner, was wonderful and very helpful. She even arranged our trip to the airport with a very reasonably-priced car service that we never would have found by ourselves. |
