When we first arrived, we ran to each room to see which one we wanted (like we were in Big Brother House) LOL! The stairs were a workout our calves were burning. We love the view the pool is awesome. Love, love, love the $1 store. The fitness trail is really cool.....We climbed 257 steps at the LIghthouse....Had a great time. Thank you, your house is Great!

Thank you so much for the use of your nice home. The weather was really good. Fishing was really bad. Our children and granchildren had a wonderful time in the hot tub and pool. This was my treat to them because I'll be 62 this year. We loved the views, they were out of this world....All in all everything was good.

We enjoyed the house! Beautiful sunsets (when it wasn't raining) we had 3 straight days of record rainfall, but last 3 days were beautiful & worth the trip. This house is great - agree that the stairs are a workout & enjoyed reading about the spirit of "Julie" in the rec. room closet. Thanks for sharing your home!

Day 1, 12th
Today we arrived. We walked up the stairs. "The house is beautiful!" I exclaimed to a friend. We love the house so far. The shelves in the fridge don't hold milk cartons well and we still haven't figured out why there is a plug in the floor of the great room. Signing off after a great day one, this is Heywood. Day 2, 13th
Hello again! Today my friends and I went to Frank and Fran's Tackle shop. Boy oh Boy were they friendly. We enjoyed the hot tub a lot but have noticed tha many door lock don't work This house is wonderful and so dandy. Until tomorrow, this is Heywood. Goodnight.
Day 3
Today, we all met and rode a ferry. We went to Ocracoke. What a cool island. We saw windsurfers. They were really neat. Goodnight!

We love all the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. It's a little windy this time of year but still beautiful. Your house has a great game room, the kids loved it. The stairs were a little much but after a lot of ups and downs our thighs feel tighter. Thanks for the great house.
PS: There are no spirits in the rec room, the air hockey humms.

Our family and friends enjoyed a 2-week stay here at Sunset Pleasure. We were welcomed in the next day by Tropical Storm Gabrielle. The weather Channel people were in Buxton predicting a huge strom - Gee, must have missed us - we were at the pool all day - windy yes, stormy no. That evening, we had rain & sustained winds. Great weather for playing poker & drinking beer!! Spent our 2 weeks by the pool, at the Beach and on the 2-3 days it rained - we did puzzles and went shopping up NOrth. We had no problems with the elevator (thank goodness - if Aunt Pat would have gotten stuck, there would have been trouble!!)
We have been coming to the Banks for almost 30 years. Our first rental only had 3 bedrooms, 1 bath and smelled really musty..thank goodness we have upgraded!! This house was beautiful and the views fantastic.
There are always little problems that occur but it's vacation! Don't sweat the small stuff - just kick back and enjoy the view.

Four families - 15 people - enjoyed your beautiful home this week. We loved every minute of it - the pool, the hot tub, the game tables....."Sunset Pleasure" teased us with what seemed to be great sunsets - but all ended in clouds. Perhaps we will try again next year! Thanks!!

We agree Sunset Pleasure has a "Stair Master" program all participated in. Despite the inconsistency of the elevator the stairs were not a big issue........ The pool room amenities were good.... Our group were amazed at the spacious accomodations. The view over the sound was tremendous! We had a great weather everyday and the pool was a definite plus especially due to the extreme heat. The volleyball net in the pool was fantastic! as was the basketball hoop in the pool too. Thanks for the memories! (and we have so many to chose from!)
Favorite Restaurant: In Avon - Hodad's; In Buxton - Buoy's
Favorite Activity: Being on the Beach
Favorite Store: Natural Art (Buxton), Food Lion!!

This week was the best week ever! This house is the coolest and highest house. In this house we are never bored because there is always somthing to do and that is hard with 8 kids. We were swimming, sitting in the hot tub or playing in the gameroom downstairs. We got a lot of workout going up and down those stairs. This was the best and most enjoyable week ever. The house is so big and really nice. The only problem was that in the Wildlife bedroom there was no sound on Channel 34. The hot tub was really fun and also for the pool.... We all went in the ocean, went to the shops, went golfing, go-carts and so much more. There was a lot of things that we really wanted to do but couldn't fit it in a week. We had a blast here and the same time next year, all of us will be here. There was 16 people living here for a week and a little baby!.......We enjoyed our stay and will be back next year. Samantha

We have gathered form Atlanta, PA, Ohio & New Hampshire in honor of Nina Slavens' 80th birthday (a bit early). We swam in the pool; sat in the hot tub; swam in the ocean and the sound; went crabbing, fishing and golding. There is nore to d here thatn we cha fit in a week! We had a birthday party and played Bunco. This was a great meeting place and a wonderful house for our celebration.

I can't believe all the people in this book that complain abour sand in the pool and stuff that doesn't work, get a life, this house is great! Greetings from Central New York!! This house was amazing!! Even with 12 adults and 2 babies we still had to shout to find everyone. Pool was awesone... A little too much sand in the bottom by the end of the week. Pool table and rec room area were enjoyed daily (still no sigh of the air hockey puck). Views from all decks were glorious! We couldn't have asked for better weather...Mid 80s the whole week. Perfection! The screen porch was perfect for cards and the blender came in handy for our numerous "mixed drink" nights. Found remote control under bed - Woo Hoo! The elevator worked great the whole time and was perfect for all those runs to the Food Lion. All in all, the house was incredible! We certainly plan on coming back next year.... And is you see a pirate flag flying from a deck - come on in and join us!! Please be nice to the 2 baby turtles we saw in the lake and watch out for the horseflies! Enjoy your vacation and the house!

We've enjoyed our stay. Everything worked fine. There were no remote controls in the master bedrooms on the 4th floor but we needed the exercise anyway. The boys wanted to play air hockey but we could not find the puck. The pool was awesome, the best pool we've had during our many trips to the Outer Banks. The views were wonderful and we enjoyed the beautiful sunsets. Thanks for a great vacation spot.

We loved the house, everything was better than we could have imagined. Mosquitoes were pesky, but other than that, it was great. Chris & Jess
You have a lovely home! It's perfect for a large group - lots of room, beautiful decor, beautiful views (all around). The game room was cool. One suggestion would be to put a trash can in the laundry room to catch the lint and used dryer sheets. The Glicks
Homeowner Comments: Trashcan now placed in laundry room. We noticed later that couple of windows were missing screens, hence the mosquitoes. All fixed.

The week went by too fast but we had a wonderful time! Most importantly my fiancee and I got married on the sand behind the pool. The weather was beautiful and the backdrop was too! The kids had a great time in the game room which babysat them while the adults had fun. My only complaint is that the elevator was out 99% of the time but that was okay because we needed the exercise. Otherwise... beautiful house & beautiful scenery.
Owner Comments: Thanks for the comments. The elevator was brand new at this time, so it was still undergoing debugging. Now works great.

We had a wonderful time in your home. Our family had a blast in the pool & hot tub. We also got a pretty good work-out climbing stairs all week because the elevator was our 98% of our stay. Good thing there was plenty of things to keep us occupied in the game room too........ But it was a beautiful home and we enjoyed it!
